Something swift and hard had hit her and now the only thing she could sense was the noise invading her ears. An old woman shrieked at the sight of the bloodied individual now lying limp on the hard concrete road. Another man came to the scene preventing the guilty driver from escaping the crime scene. Still another bystander was trying to console a child telling the kid not to look at the horrid scene she had just witnessed.

Everything was chaotic. Everything was blurry as she, lying helplessly in her own bed of blood, watched the group of people hovering over her body. There was pain, very excruciating that she had wished Death had closed in on her in one strike of its scythe, but no. She was to suffer the impact of metal on her skin. She had to feel all of it and endure the searing sensation that would later take her consciousness away.

The last thing which registered in her delirious mind was a figure that had crouched beside her, taking her into his arms and calling for help. Then, everything went black for Jessica Jung.
