Day 1 of Jessica’s Mission

A hand trembles against the wall as the unbearable pain subdued his body. His palm was as pale as his complexion. He stumbled as he used the wall for his support. His body was heavily injured from the brutal beating that he had undergone. His right hand clutched the upper left quadrant of his abdomen where someone had kicked him hard. He could still feel the foot shoving hard on his guts as he limped down the street without much attention to the curious passers-by who laid their eyes on him.
Today was not his day to fight. He thought of the two young girls that he was left to take care of. ‘They are probably in school learning…’ the young man thought.
Malaise had begun to set in on his body. He knew that he could just pass out on the street. He had wanted to but then again he would become more susceptible to another beating, something that he had hoped to avoid. His face was already filled with bruises.
He remembered the young lady whom he had helped in an accident the day before. ‘Hope she’ll be fine…’ he thought. He smiled at his softness when he thought of the stranger he had helped. He found it strange but it felt good to become someone else for a while. He had finally lost his footing when the wall he had been supporting himself on had ended.
He was preparing his body to hit the concrete floor when two hands suddenly came to support him. He was confused. He turned his head to see a lovely lady keep him from falling to
