A taekey kind of day part1
SHINee: As a k-drama
“Am I falling for him?” Taemin thought deeply. It was past midnight, but he was still awake. Some hours
ago he had successfully ran away from Key. Taemin had sprinted in a bunch of directions so it would be hard
to follow him back to his house. “No, I can’t like that jerk. But why does my heart keep thumping whenever I
think of him?” Taemin squeezed the life out of his giant teddy bear and rolled around in his bed. “I know I am a
bit dense in love situations, but there is something different about Key. He might be cold and angry a lot, but I
miss those nice sides of him. Whenever he laughs, gets sad, or smiles, it makes me want to get to know him
better. That isn’t love right?” Taemin said to himself, scratching his head and remembering. “But when I saw
him with that girl… I felt like I was going to burst. Is it because I relish it when his rare sides come out?” Sighing,
he gave up on thinking, and just went to sleep.
“Ringdingdong,” Taemin’s phone buzzed. He flipped it open and found an e-mail in his inbox.
From: Key
To:Taemin
Subject: WHO NEEDS A SUBJECT FOR JUST ONE FLIPPING MESSAGE
COME HERE NOW.
It was morning, and school was three hours away. There was a small chance he might be late for the
University, so Taemin, alerted by the message, dashed to the mansion. It wasn’t close by, but it wasn’t that far
either. When he got there, he was sweating and wheezing like crazy. Still in his pajamas, he hurriedly knocked
on the door. Key opened it. “Why the heck did you knock? The sound you made was barely audible. And the
doorbell is right over there.” Taemin took a breath of air. “I d-didn’t want t-to wake anyone u-up.” “Okay, I
understand, just get in already.”
Swirling chilly air rushed to Taemin’s warm face, bringing him some relief. “So why did you call me here?
What’s the emergency? You look perfectly fine.” He asked. “That’s exactly what’s wrong. I look fine. It’s
November and I’ve got nothing to wear! I need to be extravagant at all times, and here I am with just some
pants and a shirt.” Key lied. His wardrobe was in fact alright for now. In actuality, he felt a pang of guilt from
yesterday, when Taemin ran out. So Key planned something to repent.
“Go shopping with me now,” He said. “And maybe along the way we could fix you up something proper to
wear, and possibly something to eat.” Key mumbled under his breath, glancing at the tired person in front of
him. “Why me of all people? And you had to get me at this hour too?” Taemin whined. “It’d be ridiculous if I
called any one of my other friends. You were the only one decently fashionable among them. You were also
the only one available that would listen to me.” Key answered with a grin. “So let’s get going!” Key pulled
Taemin’s hand and dragged him to the car.
“To the nearest shopping district or plaza that’s open please,” Key said to the chauffer in the van. The guy
nodded, rolling up an opaque window pane that separated the driver’s seat from the passenger’s. As the
vehicle began to move, he let go of Taemin’s hand. After some stillness, Key spoke up. “I just noticed this is a
great place to practice being in love again. I am bored.” Taemin was anxious; his heart wasn’t ready this time.
“Can we please not practice this right now? I..um…am still groggy from lack of sleep, and I can’t think clearly.”
Key snickered. “What are you apprehensive about?” He leaned in on him, pushing Taemin against the
window*. “Oh no, the hickey is already fading away. Let me fix that.” Key nibbled at the nape of the other’s
neck. Taemin let out an exasperated whimper, not sure if he liked it or not when Key above his collar.
“I-I am s-serious K-kibum.” Key harder. “Don’t call me that. I hate it when people carelessly label me
with the name “Kibum”. Titling me by the birth name my y father gave me angers me too much. I try to
ignore them, but it’s no use. I wonder how longer I can keep up before I punch the next person that says
“Kibum” to my ing face.” Key finished applying the hickey that went along with his rage. “Key…” Taemin
bent over to the guy, slowly hauling the fuming person towards him.
Taemin hugged him, patting his back, attempting to release his stress. “Of all people, you’re the one here
to comfort me at a time like this. Aren’t I so pathetic?” Key assumed. “I am sure one day, you’re supposedly
dreadful father will make everything alright,” Taemin replied in a soft voice. “No, he is even more pitiable than
me, getting every damned girl he likes in his grasp. Expecting me to never get one, thinking he was always on
top. That’s why I never got a girlfriend. My ing dad somehow charmed every girl, even boy, which I liked,
taking them away. I don’t understand why he did that, his competitive spirit goes way too far.”
Taemin was shocked by Key’s confession. “Maybe that’s how he shows he loves you. Your dad wanted just
the right girl/guy in your life. It’s possible he didn’t want anyone to hurt you, so he approved of each person
you loved before he gave you away to them. However it just so happens he didn’t like any of the people you
did.” Taemin said, giving a reasonable reply. “So he thought Sunny was perfect for me? Yeah right,” Key
snorted, afterwards giving a light laugh. “I’m glad you cheered up a bit,” Commented Taemin, smiling. “We
arrived at the required destination. An open shopping center will be located to your right.” The chauffer
announced, rolling down the separating window pane.
Both blushing, the two separated from their hug. “Thanks ahjussi,” Key said, getting out of the car and
holding the door for Taemin. Outside, they went inside the nearest store. “We have got to get you dressed,
now!” Key went to a rack started grabbing practical wear that’d suit Taemin. A light jacket here, some skinny
jeans and a stylish T-shirt over there, the store was ample with tasteful clothes. “Try these on”, Key said,
stuffing Taemin with a pile of sensible attire. The boy, whose face was buried in a heap of garments, steadily
went into the changing room. Key waited outside the dressing place for Taemin. He sat down at a small
couch/chair thing.
“Ring Ding Diggi Ding Diggi,” Key’s touch screen phone rang. “Aishh~ it better not be that ert again.”
He took a glimpse at the screen and Jonghyun’s name popped up. “I knew it.” Key took the batteries out of his
phone and shoved it into his sweater’s pockets. “What in the world is this?!?” Taemin proclaimed, out of the
changing stall. “What’s wrong? I chose girl’s clothes cause’ I thought it might look good on you.” Key simply
said. “How did you even get this wig that came along with it?!?” Taemin asked, adjusting a medium length wavy
cut that was on his head. “Hey, out of all the outfits and wigs I gave you, you picked the floweriest ones.”
“I-I was just curious…that’s all.” Taemin shot back, seeing a glint of amusement in Key’s stealthy eyes.
“Hurry, school is starting soon, and our date won’t last forever!” The wealthy guy said, paying the cashier a
random amount of money and running out of the store. “Ruuuuuummmbbbbblllllllllleeeeeeee,” went Taemin’s
stomach. Taemin had four things to already worry about from the past 2 minutes. One, the fact Key called their
meet-up a date. Two, the poor cashier with his overload of money (is this something to fret about?) Three, the
embarrassing fact that he was dressed like a girl in public (although there weren’t many people shopping at
this kind of hour and day.) And lastly four, his stomach rumbling right in front of the guy he hypothetically (it is
still unsure) likes. Taemin slowly marched, thinking about his troubles.
“Since your taking so freaking long to walk, let me help you. Steady, Hana, dul, seht, neht!” *
“N-no, it’s alright hyung…” The two were both flustered at Taemin suddenly calling Key hyung, and Key
touching Taemin so abruptly. “We are here!” Key ordered one vanilla and one strawberry crepe. Then he
bought tteokbokki in a paper platter and bottle water. They sat down at a nearby wooden bench table. In hush
quiet, neither said a word. It was one of those good silences, where no one had to say anything to understand
the nice atmosphere. Taemin chewed his vanilla crepe, watching Key’s lips and tongue conquer his sugary
strawberry treat. Each person got a plastic fork, so they shared the street dish.
After finishing the food, Key took a couple gulps of water and handed the bottle to Taemin. He held it,
looking at the rim. “Indirect kiss. Indirect kiss. An indirect kiss with Key!” He held down his excitement and
nervousness in his brain. Taemin slowly brought the edge to his lips, and before it would touch his mouth, a
vibration shook in the pouch on his pants. “Take the call, let me get that drink out of your hands,” said Key,
obtaining the beverage from the downhearted Taemin.
Get home soon alright? Next time tell us when you are going out.
-mom
Hey, Taemin’s mom used texts when Key e-mailed. Who new adults could be a bit more modern? Taemin
replied to his mom with a “Yes umma.” Then Key and Taemin started noticing their surroundings. As more
people joined the streets, they would all peek at Taemin and exclaim what a beauty he was. Key was sort of
mad and he didn’t know why exactly. So whenever he saw some guy with their eyes on him, Key would lug
Taemin’s head into his arms, and mouth the words “HE’S MINE,” To the other person with a glare. It was true
Key technically kind of owned Taemin. But it was such a suspicious action because Key did it a lot of times
repeatedly. This caused Taemin to redden a lot
“Let’s get out of here jagiya*,” Key publicized aloud, so everyone around them could hear. Taemin blushed
furiously when perceiving what Key just called him. They returned to the parking lot and went back to the
glimmering dark red van. The chauffer was given instructions to where Taemin’s home led was. But wait a
second. He was still in women’s clothes.
“Ok, so you’re wearing a loose long sleeve blouse and tight light colored skinny jeans. We can pass of your
pants and somewhat passable high boots. But that chemise…” Key his chin, trying to solve the
problem. “Aah! I see now.” He grabbed a pocket knife out of a hidden compartment in his shoe. Pulling out the
small pair of scissors, he instructed Taemin to take an doubtful action. “Take of your shirt, now.”
Hesitantly obeying, Taemin slipped the garment off. He also removed his wig and straightened out his
messy hair. Blushing, he turned his back to the working Taylor. “Snip, snip, snip, snip,” went the scissors. After
a few more incisions and cuts, the piece was done. Key had trimmed off the lace and tucked in the sleeves a
few times. Then he cleverly cut the border so it appeared like it could pass off as a polo shirt. The boundary of
the blouse had been folded and pinned from the inside (curtsey of the chauffer to bring clothing pins
everywhere he goes. Don’t ask why.) “You are a genius Key!”
“I know, I know, no need to praise me. Oh, and by the way, I’ll get someone to pick up your pajamas that
were left at the store.” Key declared. “We are at Mr. Lee’s house,” stated the driver. “See you later Ke- I mean
hyung!” And so Taemin optimistically left.
--Little narrator thingy for fun--
Wait, the day wasn’t over just yet. Ohnono, it was just getting started, literally (get it, cause’ it’s the beginning
of the day lololololol. )Key might feel guiltless now, but Taemin’s little date just made Taemin owe Key even
more for all the money Key spent on Taemin. And Taemin had yet to realize Key lied about getting new clothes
for himself. What shall happen next when chaos breaks out and someone has been blamed and accused,
another caught spying on the other? Find out next on SHINee: As a k-drama.

A/N: Sorry this chapter is kinda long and a bit confusing cause' it's all omg in the beggining then it is all serious in the middle then it get's all funny towards the end-middle to ending. Gosh, I should update more often. So this chapter is kinda un-revised, but it has two parts which I think is cool. Ignore the little weird narrator thingy at the end there I don't even know why I put it there...it was my poor attempt to create a cliffhanger. So yeah, I appreciate the comments, keep on posting them :3
I shall update very soon, hopefully.
