Switch {Revamped} - On Hiatus“I’m glad you came, Miss Jung. All of us here don’t know what to do with Miss Im.” Relief was etched on the studio manager’s face. She told her all of the super model’s complaints. “What can we do if Sir Lee isn’t here? She refused to work with our other photographers—”
“She did what?”
Something ugly began to coil in her stomach. Was it irritation? Is she as annoying as Lee Donghae? She seemed like the type of girl who gets everything she wanted her way.
Ugh—the world is full of arrogant people.
“She demands to finish off her project as soon as possible but she is so picky—”
“I want to meet her,” Jessica said curtly. She walked towards the lounge where Im Yoona and company are sitting. Poor manager—she was unable to stop her. Who knows what could happen if the two girls clash? She knew that Jessica is also hot-tempered.
Fortunately, Yoona was busy on her phone that time so Jessica talked to her personal assistant instead. The later apologized for the young model’s attitude. “The truth is…she doesn’t work well with male photographers. But Lee Sungmin is an exception because he’s known for his talent and professionalism.”
Of course. That’s my oppa! He’s the best. Jessica thought and felt proud of him.
“But it’s quite a disappointment that he isn’t here…and that this studio doesn’t have any female photographer to fill in his position. We’re considering—”
“I actually came here on behalf of Sungmin-oppa.” To save him from that girl’s further insults…
The later became quiet all of a sudden. But in a few seconds, a gasp escaped from as her eyes widened. “You mean—you’re gonna t-take over?” Her eyes were glinting with anticipation for her affirmation. “Omo—Thank Goodness! Yoona will be happy to hear this.”
Jessica flashed a half-hearted smile. “Uh…about that…I’m not.” Heol~ “I’m not that familiar with how things work in a photo-shoot because I’m just a photojournalist. I work with politicians the most and…rarely with models.”
“You’re a—what?”
She was astonished when Yoona suddenly spoke.
“Photojournalist.”
“Annyeong haseyo, Im Yoona-imnida.” She bowed to her in the most respectful manner—making Jessica’s brows twitch in confusion. Her attitude just changed…based on what she had observed awhile back. She greeted her back, then. “Annyeong. Jeoneun Jung Jessica-imnida. I’m very pleased to meet you, Yoona-ssi.”
Pleased?—pssh… What a lie she had said. I promise I’d stop lying after this…after she learns about her real attitude. She can’t easily trust Yoona.
Trust is a big thing but it isn’t just some ‘thing’ to be given away. ‘tis one of the rarest things that should be earned through the sincerest acts we show to others. Right?
So even if what she’s doing right now may look bad on one angle, it is fine to do it to protect herself and her friend too on the other hand.
“Aniyo—I’m more pleased to—hey! Wait a second—Aren’t you the girl from Kyuhyun-oppa’s sports club?”
This made Jessica more genuinely confused. “I really don’t recall…talking to you?”
“No—that’s not it—you were too focused on the game that you didn’t notice your audience. I was there watching and cheering for you.” She giggled. “You were awesome out there—but it’s sad that I was only able to meet you when you were sleeping. But never mind that—I’m talking to you now. And daebak! You’re really a photojournalist?”
“N-ne?” Aish. She was torn between believing this girl or not. Her compliments, obviously, boosts her ego—spoiling her. GDI.
“I’d be honored to work with you, Jessica-ssi—Oh—talk to you later.”
Yoona left them again to answer another call—also leaving the stupefied Jessica to her personal assistant.
Ige bwoya?! This girl is sorta…a weirdo.
Yoona’s PA cleared to get her attention. “If you must know…that kid is a feminist, Jessica-ssi. She’s hyped up and inspired to work harder if she’s around strong women. And I’m guessing that you gave her that impression...”

“Jeongmal?” A feminist eh?
She nodded.
“Okay. I’ll give the photo shoot a try.”
