Chapter 5

I got so angry at him, I pushed him off the boat again. I know I was being a drama queen, but I couldn't help it.

He thinks he can get away with anything just because that he's a guest!

I rowed away from him.

This time, there was no shout for me anymore.

I was amazed by the speed of which he swam.

He shot ahead of me like a bullet, and didn't turn back.

Oh well, he wouldn't dare leave me, I have food.

Food is very valuable.

However, he turned out to do the very opposite of what I thought.

I laughed to myself.

Who cares?

I have all 5 packs of food with me, and no one to hog it.

Thinking of food, I pulled out a leaf satchel and took out a kabob.

To another person, I looked as if I were a lunatic because I was half dancing, with a kabob in one hand and I coconut in the other.

I slurped up the coconut juice noisily, even though I knew no one would hear.

I dozed off again in the little corner, with a leaf satchel as a pillow.

As night fell, I pulled a board over my body, so people would think that no one was in the boat.

I hope.

I dreamt all about Kai last night, for some freakin' reason.

I had no idea why..

Or maybe I missed his warm arms, and-there I go again, thinking about the things about him.

I thought I hated him.

Is this what love is like?

To hate someone, then love them back the next second?

It was pretty uncomfortable for me; I had an unsafe night without a guy around.

Maybe it was a bad idea leaving him.

I wonder where he is now.

I ate half a kabob, a fried fish and a fried shrimp.

I was pretty sure that the beach was close.

I mean, it took two of us and only about 2 hours to arrive there.

So why is it taking me a day? Maybe more?

Questions began piling up in my head.

Did Kai make it to the beach yet?

If so, was he safely home?

If not, where was he?

Is he even alive?

I started to row again, hoping for the answers that I wanted to hear when I go back home.
