Pretense
Out of the BlueHangeng had so much to say, but he always ended up saying nothing. There was so much he wanted to say that he didn't know what to say. And there wasn't anyone for him to say it to. It was so suffocating to keep everything inside but he had no other choice. Hangeng couldn't tell his secrets.
He was now living in a new enviroment, with new people around him. He forgot how to trust someone, he was afraid of getting hurt again. He didn't know whether to be thankful or not that they did not know a thing about him. They did not know anything about his painful past. It was easier to pretend that he was happy, because they would always fail to notice that slight glint of sadness in the corner of his eyes. But at the same time, he wished that someone could see through his pretense and just listen, someone who would truly care. Because loneliness hurts so bad.
When they asked why was he being quiet, he would smile and say that he's just tired from the work, when he was actually tired of life and everything and everyone. But they believed the lies he told, and they would then continued their own conversation.
Hangeng was always pretending. And no one knew.
