It was a cold and rainy day. The streets were littered with multi-colored umbrellas from the pedestrians and…Non-pedestrians. Anyway, my point is, everyone held umbrellas. Colorful ones.

Except for Sungyeol, who was drenched to the bone, which was really saying something, since he was wearing many layers of clothing.

He shivered.

The past month had been hard for Sungyeol, and not only was he miserable, but he brought his misery, like, everywhere he went. It’s like… A zombie apocalypse. With Sungyeol as the zombie, and unsuspecting and innocent people as the victims. He managed to make everyone around him feel guilty for no particular reason, because no one was really used to Sungyeol being sad. He was usually a bubbly ball of sunshine-y chodingness, skipping around the place and streets and contaminating everyone with his…Bubbliness.

He was just that contagious, and it truly was a wonder how someone managed to break Sungyeol’s heart. I mean, even a person with half a brain probably couldn’t hate him, how much more turn him down?

He whimpered miserably as he trudged down the wet road, almost bumping into a car and not the other way around, and realizing that he wasn’t supposed to be crossing the street anymore, and darn, the sound of cars honking practically said, ‘Get your pathetic off the road and go home before we knock the crap out of you with our big scary cars and stuff’.

His cheeks burned in embarrassment, as he muttered silent apologies to the drivers for wasting their time, despite the fact that they obviously couldn’t hear him. He ran away, with tears obstructing his vision, relying instead on his long legs to carry him as far and as quick as they could go.

His legs were fairly reliable, until he tripped on something, or rather, someone.

Which was strange, because why the hell would you lie down on a wet road, not knowing what kind of creature (cat, dog, rabbit, squirrel, pig, horse, unicorn…) had probably emptied out its intestines on said road. Sungyeol wrinkled his nose briefly at the disgusting thought, before looking down to help the person up.

His eyes nearly popped out of their sockets when he saw who was lying at his feet, unmoving.

It was Kim freaking Myungsoo.

His delightful ex who had just recently broken up with him.
