“I don’t want any of you to leave this line, okay? Good. Now behave yourselves while I’m gone.” Mrs. Cho nagged at the class, and Jongdae rolled his eyes, sending mischievous glances at Baekhyun, who grinned back wolfishly, once their teacher had turned her back on them.

Joonmyun glared at them both, while Kyungsoo tutted. Yixing snickered at the two’s reactions, and Luhan just sighed wearily at their antics.

“You two…” Joonmyun placed his hands on his hips, and the other five had trouble trying to hold in their laughter.

“Come on, gramps. Don’t be such a hardass.” Jongdae teased.

“But Mrs. Cho said you’re not allowed to leave.” Joonmyun reasoned out.

“It’s just a quickie. Swear. We just want to look around.” Baekhyun added, chuckling lightly. Kyungsoo placed a firm hand on Joonmyun’s shoulder.

“Just let them go, Joonmyun. I mean, who wouldn’t be bored after spending more than half of the day cooped up in a musky museum?” Joonmyun stared at his right hand, the vice president of the class, the same boy who supported him in everything, with a look of surprise flitting across his features.

“I’m surprised you’re actually going through all this, Kyungsoo.” Said boy shrugged.

“Fine then.” At the class president’s words, the three boys high-fived, shouting unruly cheers here and there. The rest of the class shushed them.

“On one condition, however.” Joonmyun paused to give them a critical look.

“I have to accompany you.” They groaned. Luhan raised an eyebrow.

“I’m the class representative, after all. I have to make sure you’re safe, or all the blame goes to me if something goes wrong.” Joonmyun justified himself, a bit flustered.

“Wait. But if you’re so responsible, why are you allowing us to go in the first place?” Luhan asked confusedly. Before Joonmyun could give an irritated excuse, Kyungsoo cut him off.

Nice going, umma. Joonmyun groaned.

“And you really shouldn’t be leaving the rest of the class, you know.”

“Just… Let’s just make this quick, okay?” He rubbed his face with his hands as the other boys cheered in response.

They trudged off to the edge of the site, nearing an area filled with tall trees and other vegetation, clearly oblivious to the kinds of danger they could be facing at the time.
