Chapter 4: Wanted

Blackout

Chapter 4:
xx
"being wanted can either be beneficial or harmful"

Genre: Romance || Suspense || Drama || Tragedy || Mafia War || Friendship || Humor

Advance A/N: Omo! This chapter has stirred away from DaraGon on the last part and focused more on Jiyong's recruitment in the mafia. It's to set up the rest of the story, like the first chapter so that you won't be too confused in the end. It's still a DaraGon chapter, just not in the last part. Don't worry though, DaraGon will be easy flowing on the following chapters with TopBom on the side.

GD stood there with his arms crossed while he watched the doctor examine Sandara and inject the tube of her dextrose with something.

The doctor was a lovely woman of 38. She looked nice enough to give Sandara examinations even though she knew she probably had no money to pay for the check-ups.

“She’ll be fine for now. If this happens again please don’t hesitate to call either me or Park Bom.” She said after she was done with Dara.

“Park Bom?” GD asked. “You mean the nurse with the red-hair?”

Hyeyoung nodded her head yes. “I’ve assigned her to be the personal nurse of Miss San Dara since the patient is more comfortable in her presence.”

GD took a look at Dara, who was calmly laying there with her eyes closed. He can’t remember the last time he’d doubled his pace just to get help for someone he doesn’t even know that well.

He shook his head and returned his attention to the doctor.

“How long is her memory gonna be lost?” He asked remembering his priority towards her.

“Judging from the damage of the accident, it’s gonna take quite some time for her to recover the memory she lost, but she can regain them in a shorter period of time if something triggers her memory bank.”

“By something you mean…” He trailed off hoping that the doctor would at least fill him in or just give him a simple tip that could help him regain the girl’s memory so that she could get her off his back already, but nothing. The doctor just shrugged her shoulders casually as if telling him she really had no clue on what to do.

“I guess we can’t do anything now but wait patiently.” She stated glancing at Dara’s peaceful form on the bed.

“By wait, how long are we talking about?” He arched an eyebrow and restrained himself from grabbing the poor doctor’s arm so he could shake the information out of her.

“Even I cannot answer that question. It could possibly be weeks or months. Probably even years…” She trailed off leaving out the worst part of it all.

“Or never.” He continued knowing what was coming up next. He ran his hands through his hair and heaved a deep breath. “I cannot associate myself with this woman anymore.”

The doctor just stared at him. Had he no heart for a pitiful woman like Dara? She was a beauty and yet he had the guts to actually say that?

“Excuse me. I still have other patients to attend to.”

GD nodded his head to the doctor, but didn’t even say thank you for telling him about Dara’s condition. He didn’t even acknowledge the fact that she was there when he needed her to tend to the girl.

After the doctor left he couldn’t help but turn to the figure on the bed with her eyes solemnly closed. She really was a beauty. Her skin was creamy and flawless, her nose was perfect for her face’s structure and her lips; it took every ounce of his being not to just bend down and give it a light peck. It would be like intruding on a girl’s personal space; which is a total understatement considering the number of girls that he slept with. She felt different and looked different… so fragile and weak compared to the toughened up girls he meets at clubs. Sure she was straight-forward during their conversation earlier but he knew that inside she was still confused of who she was. Literally.

“Are you her boyfriend?” The patient from earlier had asked him, saving him from getting lost in his thoughts about a girl he barely even knows.

GD turned to the patient. “Yes I am.” He lied. It was pathetic, but since he’s already here why don’t he try to have some fun messing with the patient’s mind? He was bored already and what else should he say? No? Maybe then a string of questions why he came to visit even if he didn’t know Dara very well would be thrown at him. He hated too many questions especially since this other patient looked about 13 years old.

“You’re very lucky.” She said looking at Dara.

GD cocked an eyebrow and waited for her to continue. He seemed really interested now.

“She’s really nice. She talks to me when I cry in the middle of the night. The other patients would just scold me, but she knew my pain so she would talk to me until I fall asleep even when the doctor clearly said she should get some sleep.” She began. “Plus, she’s very pretty. I hope if I live long enough I could be like her.”

Now this really got GD’s attention. He wasn’t the type to pry, but the preteen comparing herself to Dara like that made him ask, “What are you talking about?”

Her eyes became misty as she turned to GD. Somehow he regrets asking her the question because he doesn’t really want someone to get emotional in front of him. There was this tiny tug inside his heart every time a person cries when he’s there.

“I have colon cancer stage 3 and my family doesn’t have enough money to get me chemotherapy. I can’t fight it so all I have to do is wait until it slowly eats my life.” She explained, her voice shaking. Then the tears that threatened to fall burst out of her eye sockets.

GD froze. He really wished Dara would wake up now because if she was the one who comforted this girl every night, then she would probably know how to comfort her now.

“I…” He trailed off. “I gotta go. Just tell her when she wakes up that I had to do something.” He said, grabbing the things that he needed.

Before he could leave, the girl said in between sobs, “When are you coming back?”

He stood still. Can he even tell this girl that he won’t be coming back? It was too much of a burden for him and coming back would be troublesome.

“Soon.” He lied yet again, before walking out of the scene.

He rushed to get out of the hospital for some reason and just when he was near the exit a familiar head full of red-hair decided to bump on him.

Her face immediately turned to annoyance when she saw it was him. She didn’t even bother to say sorry.

“Leaving so soon?” She asked, one of her eyebrows arching.

“I leave when I want to.” He snapped staring her down.

“Dara is better off without you. I suggest you don’t come back here anymore.”

She brushed pass him and casually walked away.

GD turned around to stare at her retreating back with his hands tightly closed into fists. One thing he hates the most is being told what he has to do. He follows his own gut instinct and what he really feels he should do. He doesn’t need anyone to tell he him that he should do this and that because he’s very much capable of making his own decisions.

With a gruff grunt he swivelled around on his heels and decided to just leave the hospital with Bom’s words ringing in his head. Mocking him. Torturing his well-fed ego and pride, but he knew better. He didn’t want to sink himself into another problem that would only cause him more headaches, so he’s not gonna drown himself into her words.

He went to his motorcycle parked in front of the hospital and was about to hop on, when his new phone rang wildly. It was YG calling him.

“What?” He unconsciously snapped. He couldn’t help himself. He was upset over Bom’s words.

“Guess who’s here.” YG taunted ignoring his tone.

GD’s eyebrow arched in suspicion. “Who?”

“Get in here so you’ll find out.”

GD was about to end the call when he heard YG still speaking on the other line and said, “By the way, this absence? It’s coming out of your pay.”

With that the call ended leaving him there rooted on his spot.

He shook his head and hopped on his motorcycle, starting it up and driving the familiar road towards YG building. Outside it looks like a normal talent agency, but in reality it actually has an underground facility where YG meets with some of the most notorious Mafioso’s around the world, naming; the Sicillian, the Yakuza, Irish mob, Chinese Triad and the Russian Mafia. Heck sometimes the Southeast Asian pirates would go there to trade illegal goods like drugs and guns. The talent agency crap? It’s just another way for the Chil Sung Pa to let enemies know the power they had, and sometimes they even use the publicity of their ‘artists’ (by which some, but not all, are also members of the mob) to cover their crimes from the media and to keep the people blind from the activities of the underground.

Not everyone working under YG knows about its real purpose though. Some employees are innocent (naming; Yunho) and doesn’t even know about the meetings taking place under the YG building while he’s so busy watching audition tapes of soon-to-be trainees.

GD immediately went to the underground parking lot and parked his motorcycle there. He knew where he needed to go to find YG, so he just made his way casually over to the guard house near the entrance of the basement parking lot.

“YG has a visitor waiting for you.” The guard (who was a pledged member of the Seven Star Mob) had told him when he entered.

“I know.” He replied flatly, making his way over to the double doors that looked like a closet at the back of the small room.

He swung them open and revealed yet another metal door. He punched in a code and had his hand print scanned and recognized before the doors opened to let him step inside.

The elevator immediately took him 10 feet under the ground and into the place isolated from the upper world and free of sunlight.

When the doors opened he was immediately met by a series of hallways with twists and turns here and there in order to confuse uninvited visitors. There were also many doors along the way, which were either made for a trap or were made to store some of the illegal goods that the mob exchanged. He already knew his way around and dragged himself from turn to turn before facing face-to-face with a vault.

He punched in some codes and had his hand print scanned yet again before looking up to glare at the CCTV camera right above the metal door as if to say, “open the vault or I’ll get back up there to make you open it.” to the person in charge of that vault.

It opened with a clunk and he pushed himself in.

He was greeted by a few men in black suits standing around the bare room with only the leather lounge chairs that faced each other, the coffee table and a huge painting at the back of the room that hid the vault that contained some of the goods. There were two man sitting at each of the lounge chairs, one was YG and the other still unknown for his back was facing GD. They were indulged in a deep conversation with a glass of scotch in each of their hands.

YG immediately stood up when he saw him come in.

“G-Dragon.” He greeted with a smug grin plastered on his face.

The man in front of him looked over his shoulder to look at G-Dragon.

He was Japanese. He just knew it. And when he’s Japanese it means…

“This is Yuhiro-san of the Yakuza.”

Right at the bull’s eye. He was completely right.

YG came over to him and draped his hands around his shoulder, the glass of scotch still in his other hand.

Yuhiro stood up from his seat and faced GD just to bow down at him.

He cocked his eyebrow at the respect shown, because as far as he remembers, he’s still not a part of the Chil Sung Pa.

“What is he doing here?” He asked YG through gritted teeth. Had he told the 1st star his whereabouts?

YG laughed satirically before going back to the lounge seat he sat on. “He’s here to recruit you to the Yakuza.” He said as if it was the most casual thing to say. “The advantages you have for the power you have in your hands.”

“Our sources told us that you are the heir to a huge corporation?” Yuhiro asked, but GD didn’t answer, so instead the Japanese mobster continued. “You’re family’s business expands to places such as Japan, Brazil, China, France, Italy, Scotland, Russia, Singapore, Philippines, India and Canada. Hotels, resorts, factories and electronic manufacturing. The Yakuza could use someone like you in the *political mob.”

“I’m Korean”, was the only thing that GD answered after such a long time of explaining from the Japanese decent.

YG laughed. “It doesn’t matter if you’re Korean, Chinese or even Caucasian. When you have power, they want you.”

“Consider the offer Mr. Kwon. We will go back to you in a few months”, with that the Japanese Yakuza that visited them exited the vault with his 6 body guards trailing after him.

Jiyong just stood there too astounded to speak. It wasn’t until he heard the vault door click close when he snapped his head up to YG.

“Who the hell leaked?” He hissed angrily.

How come the Yakuza is hot on his trail now?

YG shrugged and put the scotch down on the table. “Sit down G-Dragon.” He offered, but yet again GD refused to sit and remained standing. Seeing this YG sighed and spoke, this time in a much more serious manner than what he used when the Yakuza member was around. “It was the 7th star.”

GD straightened his back from surprise. “Ravin?” He asked.

YG just nodded his head before continuing. “A careless fool. He slipped the information that the heir to the Lee corps is on the waiting list of becoming a member of Chil Sung Pa. Not only the Japanese Yakuza knows about you, but also the Chinese Triad, the Russian Mafia, the Sicillian and the Irish mob. Now that they know that the Chil Sung Pa and the Yakuza is hot on your pursuit, it’s only a matter of time before the other gangs would want you as well.”

GD scoffed. “Why would they want me? There are other heirs to corporations out there that they could get their hands on.”

YG stared at him sternly. “You don’t get it do you?” He asked standing up from the lounge so he can stand face-to-face with GD even though the coffee table and extra lounge seat served as a barricade between them.

“It’s not just a matter of getting their hands on a powerful person such as you. In this underground world it’s also a matter of pride, greed and money. They want to get their hands on the best and the Yakuza and Chil Sung Pa wanting you,” he looked at him up and down, “you’re already considered the best so far.”

He walked around the coffee table and couch so he could now stand in front of GD. “Reconsider the option again. Join us now and take your responsibilities as heir after then, you’ll be perfect for 7th star.”

GD ground his teeth together in irritation. “We already agreed on this. I am not taking the Lee corps from my father.”

YG narrowed his eyes at the boy. “We helped you number of times. I even hired someone to clean up that crash you told me about.”

Realization dawned in on GD. If YG did clean up Dara’s crash then it must mean… “Where’s the license of the girl who owns that car?”

“We threw it away.” He simply stated before changing the subject topic. “You’re not fit to be the 7th star if you don’t take the corps.”

GD turned his back to him harshly feeling a little sour for throwing the evidence of Dara’s identity. “You already have Ravin for that.”

“Ravin is already 20 feet underground in the crust of the earth.”

GD froze. He knew what YG meant and it was not the fact the Ravin was inside one of the underground facilities of Chil Sung Pa like this one.

“Take your responsibilities and join us now unless you want us to give you away to the Yakuza.” YG threatened, but he only heard GD smirked as he approached the vault door.

He stopped in front of it and looked to his side watching YG with the corner of his eyes. “Like you’ll actually do that. I’m too much of a priceless candidate for your own mob.” He remarked confidently before opening the vault that didn’t have too much complications on the inside.

YG couldn’t help but grit his teeth in irritation as the vault door clunked close. He immediately fished his phone out of his pocket and called a very familiar number.

“He still wouldn’t crack.” He hissed through the speaker as he dug on his pocket a license that his cleanup crew gave him.

“Then find a way to. We need those records.” The voice on the other line barked before ending the call.

YG pocketed his phone and analyzed the card he was holding. “Park Sandara…” He chuckled and placed it back on its proper place. Maybe they could have use of her when the time comes. After all, the potential 7th star seemed to have some interest in her. In honesty Kwon Jiyong would not be pursued like this if it wasn’t for his father, Lee Bae, who was actually the son of one of the seven founders of Chil Sung Pa.

He was kept in the dark when it came to the underground world and the man had no idea that the records of all the powerful Mobs in the world were actually kept underground inside one of their properties. From weak links, to the powerful ties, to former exchanges and criminal flunks and success of every Mob, it was all there and when they get their hands on Kwon Jiyong, they are one-step closer towards those records. Imagine the advantages they would have against powerful syndicates like the Yakuza and Sicillian? They will instantly climb their way to the top as the number 1 mob in the world. The Yakuza knew about this, that is why they want him in too... it’s only a matter of time before the others will find out and pursue him too and they won’t allow that. Even if it will cause an underground war amongst them.
