SangHee’s P.O.V

“When all I could do but wish and dream.

My dream was the only thing I could believe.

Everything around me felt different and dark.

But my dream kept it all light and spark.

As I walked through the darkened world.

It lit up the way and showed me a better place.

Keeping me strong when I fall weak.

Wrapping me in warmth when I feel cold.

So.

In this life we dream of many things.

Love. Peace. Joy. Fame. Money.

But for me one thing.

To become the person I truly need to become.

And I guess Dreams really do come true.

Dreams follow your soul.

A greedy dream follows a needy person.

A helpful dream follows a broken person.

A peaceful dream follows a restless person.

An artistic dream follows a dark person.

Dreams are broken.

Dreams are shattered.

Dreams are fulfilled.

Dreams are forgotten.

In this life we dream of many things.

But for me one thing.

To become the person I truly need to become.

And I guess Dreams really do come true.

“Wah, your voice is so nice. You put so much emotion in the song.” YoSeob says.

“Thanks so do you think you could play it on the piano?” I ask.

“What are the notes?” he asks.

“It’s really simple chords.” I say showing him.

“Ooh, I can play this. Does it just repeat?” he asks.

“Yeah.. Wait I think I wrote down the sheet music let me see. Can you get up for a second?” I ask.

“Sure.” He says getting up.

I open up the piano seat and look through the folder with my name on it. I shuffle through the paper inside and pull out a few sheets.

“Here it is.” I say placing it on the piano.

“Hmmm, I think I can play that.” He says sitting back down.

“Okay ready.” I say.

“Ready.” He says playing the first chords.

I sing through the song listening to the piano and guitar come together in perfect harmony. At the end we both look at each other and smile.

“Wow, you make this song sound so angelic.” He says.

“Now you try singing with me.” I say putting my guitar down.

“Okay.” He says getting ready to play the piano.

“1..2…3” I say.

We begin to sing together and throughout the song look at each other with the emotion in our eyes and voices.  We finish the songs and take in all the emotion we had throughout the song.

“We sound so good together.” He says looking at me.

“Yeah, we do, I never seen you so deep into a song.” I say looking at him back.

“I think it’s because people put me up as the cute one of the group so people never see the serious side of me.” He says.

“I like the serious side. More charismatic.” I smile.

“Thanks, you’re a really good musician.” He says.

“Thanks but really we all are for making it this far.” I say.

“Yeah, so you want to practice some more?” he asks.

“Let’s take a break, want to go eat ice cream?” I ask.

“Yeah! Let’s go.” He says getting up and grabbing my hand.

We run to the ice cream parlor across the street in disguises.

YoSeob’s P.O.V

“What do you want to order?” I ask.

“Mmmm, I want Mango and cookies & cream mixed together.” She replies.

“Why?” I ask interested.

“When I was little my parents always gave me some after dinner. It became a tradition and family favorite.” She says.

“Aah, I see then can I have 2 mango and cookies and cream ice cream cones.”I order.

“Alright that will be $8.50.” The worker says.

I pay and wait for our ice cream while SangHee goes and finds us a seat in the back. I take the two ice creams and sit down.

“Here you go.” I say handing her one.

“You didn’t need to pay for me you know.” She says.

“It’s fine, if you ever want ice cream just ask.” I say. [His face ^^]

“So you like composing your own songs?” I ask.

“Yeah, usually I do when I’m sad and down but only because I never wanted anyone to know I was sad.” She says.

“Why would you never want people to know you were sad?” I ask.

“I don’t like showing I’m weak..” she says her ice cream.

“Oh… well whenever you’re down come to me.” I say.

“But..” she says.

“I know you said you don’t like showing people you’re weak but I don’t like knowing that people are sad with no one to listen. Here let me see your phone.” I say.

She hands me her phone and I type my number in.

“Whenever you’re sad text me or call me and I’ll be there to talk to.” I say.

“Thanks Oppa.” She says tears forming in her eyes.

“Don’t cry now.” I say wiping a tear.

“I can’t stop…” she says.

I finish the last of my cone and sit next to her hugging her. I feel my shirt wetting more and more. I start cradling her, tapping her back slowly singing ‘Best Place’ by SHINee. I feel her cuddling into my chest and I smile and hug her tighter.

“Thank you Oppa.” She says into my chest.

“I’m always here for you.”I say kissing the top of her head.

I let go and get up.

“We should get going.” I say.

“Okay.” She says getting up and throwing her trash away.

I leave my arm open and she wraps her arm around mine. We smile and walk back just enjoying each others company.
