"Would you like me to help you with the dishes?" I offered after we were finished eating.

"Really?" she seemed surprised but a smile danced around her lips.

"Yeah. You wash and I'll dry,"

"Alright then," 

"How long have you been with your boyfriend?" I unconsiously asked.

"Uh about three years now," she replied while rinsing a plate.

"Wow, that's a pretty long time," I searched her hands to see if there was an engagement ring. She probably took it off to wash the dishes, I thought after not seeing any trace of a ring.

"Yup," She sighed. Shouldn't she be radiating with happiness while talking about her so called loved one? I wonder why she sighs instead of smile when talking about him? 

"Want to watch a movie?" She asked after putting the last set of dishes in the cabinet.

"Yeah. Why not," I respond while taking a sit on the couch.

"Okay. Do you like horror, funny, action, or romantic movies?" She asks while searching through the collection of movies that were organized on a shelf.

"It doesn't matter," 

"Okay. Then The Host it is," she immediately places the movie into the dvd player then sat on the couch far from me.

"We should go to bed. It's 9 and we have school tomorrow," Jessica suddenly said while sitting up from her stretched out position on the couch. Damn, I forgot about that. 

"That reminds me," A sleepy smile spread across her face, " it's going to be your first day."

"Yeah," I chuckled.

"Don't worry. You'll see that it really is a great school,"

"I actually know some people that go to that school," 

"Oh really? That's good. You won't be a loner then," she beamed.

"I guess so,"

"I didn't mean that I was going to act like I didn't know you, I was just saying that you- oh nevermind," she sighed clearly flustered. I couldn't help but chuckle. She is too cute. We suddenly turned our attention to the sound of the front door opening.

Jessica's P.O.V

"Je-," L stopped at the sight of me and D.O in the living room.

"Hey L," I quickly made my way towards L, who was sending death stares towards D.O, " me and D.O were just watching a movie."

"I can see that," he responded in a cold tone.

"I'm going to my room," D.O awkwardly got up from the couch.

"Okay," I slightly smiled as he turned towards the hallway, towards his room.

"So...how was work?" I turned my attention to an angry, tired looking L.

"Whatever," he walked passed me, down the hall, and into my room. I quickly trailed behind him.

"Ya. Are you mad?" I felt a little anger rise within me but I tried to suppress it.

"Why were you watching a movie with him?" He looked at me with his beautiful intense, anger filled eyes.

"Because there was nothing good on T.V?" What the heck is his problem?

"Ha, I'm sure," he scoffed.

"Why are you being like this all of a sudden?" 

"Being like what, Jessica. Acting concerned because MY girlfriend was alone with a stranger?" he took a step closer.

"No. You're acting jealous.We were just watching a movie L. Jeez, it's not like we were doing anything. Stop with your assumptions," I couldn't hold myself from saying this.

"What?" his stare became more intense.

"We're going to be roomates from now on, so get used to it," I turned towards the bathroom only to be stopped by his hand encircling my arm.

"Are you ing serious?" to be honest, the way he was staring at me scared the hell out of me.

"Listen. What I'm trying to say is that there is nothing to worry or be jealous about, okay? Just relax," I tried to moderate the situation. His grasp loosened but his hand was still on my arm.

"I'm sorry," he pulled me into his embrace, " I just hate when you're alone with someone other than me. Especially if it's a guy," I always find it hard for me to stay mad at him. Why?

"It's okay. But please, you promised to control it," 

"I know, and I'll try harder. I promise," He looked at me with sincerity in his eyes. I just nodded, hoping that it was true.

"Are you going to spend the night?" I pulled out of his arms.

"Yup," he plopped himself on my bed.

"Well then, let me get ready for bed," I headed towards the bathroom, reliefed that I managed to ease the tension.

"Okay," I heard him say.

I hope he does change for the better, I thought to myself while I was in the shower, because I don't know how much more of this I can take. After I finished showering, I brushed my hair and my teeth. When I opened the bathroom door, I saw L undressing. I quickly but quietly shut the door again but I could have sworn I heard him chuckle. Damn it ! After a couple of seconds I walked out as cool as possible.

"You never told me how work was," I laied down.

"Same as always. Boring and tiring," he responded before pulling me close to him.

"Did you go home today or something?" 

"Why?" 

"Because you were wearing something different before you left," I could feel him become a bit tense.

"Oh yeah, I spilled coffee on my suit so I had to change," I couldn't help but feel that he was somehow lying to me.

"Want me to wash it for you?" 

"No, it's okay. I already got it taken care of. Now let's sleep. I'm tired."

"Okay. Goodnight," I kissed him in the cheek before snuggling towards my pillow.

"Goodnight, I love you," he replied.

"Love you too," You better not be lying to me L. I wonder if D.O is sleeping well.......
