“What’s going on?” All eyes fell on Ji Min as she walked in, black duffle bag in hand.

She stared at everyone and slowly took off her jacket as she carefully made her way next to Kai.

Her duffle bag slipped from her grasp and she crossed her legs, carefully assessing the faces of each person in the room.

Kai laced his fingers through hers and – as if on cue – everyone left the room, leaving the two sitting next to each other.

Ji Min sighed. She knew what was wrong.

Sliding along the floor so she was sitting back to back with him, she rested her weight on his back, placing her hands on either side of her.

Slowly, Kai placed the same amount of weight on his own hands and leaned his head back on her head.

They could hear each other breathe and the heat from their bodies radiated from their backs. It was the closest they had been for weeks, and the time they had together was limited and precious.

“They found out right?” The question was left unanswered but the silence that followed gave Ji Min the answer.

Yes.

“So what do we do now?” Kai turned around, narrowly letting Ji Min fall back to the ground before he caught her with his muscular arm.

He rolled on top of her and pressed his face close to hers, just looking over her features.

Ji Min felt his hot breath against her face and she looked into his eyes, searching for some kind of panic – an emotion of any kind just to show her that it was going to be okay.

Her eyes narrowed in desperation, “Why are you so calm?”

Kai was scaring her. Her breathing increased and he could feel her chest rising up and down against his, faster and faster.

He was so caught up with her eyes and that when half a droplet of a tear wetted her eyelashes, he flinched in shock.

“Don’t cry.” He said in his deep voice, frowning when her eyes fluttered close.

Kai tried wiping the next few tears away with little success. He leaned his weight into his right arm, ignoring the shaking and straining of his biceps.

“Come on, I’ll tell you.”

He picked her up and sat her on his lap and wrapped his arms around her.

It had been too long.

“Hyung’s are fine with it.”

Kai spoke nonchalantly, but it was like he had dropped a bomb on her.

Ji Min whirled around in fury, her eyes flashing with anger.

She rounded on Kai, “Why do you always do this to me? Huh?” it frustrated her, the way he was always and forever quiet, leaving out the important details until after she had finished freaking out.

“Shhh.” He cooed, smiling with his plump lips. He ran his tongue across his lips as he tuned out of her ranting and stared at her gloss coated lips.

Before she could get even angrier at him not paying attention, Kai pressed his lips on hers, savouring her taste, her smell and her feel.

Ji Min moaned in disapproval but tangled her hands in his thick locks of black hair anyway and tilted her head, giving him more access to .

They broke away, breathless. She burst into laughter for no reason and he followed, just happy to be with her.

In a short blissful moment, they leaned their heads together and smiled. “No one else knows right?”

“Wrong.” The two looked up and Kai shot up and bowed formally. Ji Min got up right after, confused and worried.

“I know.”

Their smiles disappeared.

And that, my dear readers, was the beginning of the end.
