The Porcelain Club

Description

Porcelain is delicate and dainty. But the patterns on the porcelain can vary from war to peace, from hate to love.

It’s the same as life - no matter how colourful your life is, no matter how many people have tainted it, drawn all over it and graffitied it, the concept remains unchanged;

Porcelain is life, simple, easy to shatter but is present in every single one of our homes.

Welcome to the Porcelain club, where we follow a snap shot of twelve people’s lives so completely normal but infuriatingly out of the ordinary.

Foreword

There are those people in life who you look at and think, Why is their life so perfect?

But that’s just you being puerile.

And then you see your own life, full of people, full of drama and full of laughter, and then, would you really give it away?

So, in this life, choose who you are; choose who you want to be.

You never know, your life may just turn out to be a little more exciting than you thought.

The pairings -

Wu Fan and Li Qian - The Survival Relationship

Synonymously known as Kris and born as Li Jia Heng, Wu Fan is the leader of the rookie band EXO-M. She is Wang Li Qian, current clothing designer, working under the Canadian branch of Michael Kors.

The relationship he and Li Qian are currently in can be labelled as the ‘Survival Relationship’.

The basis of their relationship is really, ‘Without you I am nothing, with you I am something.”

Their connection is extremely emotional; he often tired and wound up, she is temperamental. It doesn’t help that they’re a whole world away. She’s in Canada and he’s in China.

Despite all this, they’re getting something out of it. Both being people that hate clingy relationships and value personal space a lot, often the distance puts them at ease. And, they’re basically yin and yang, the opposite but almost perfect in every single way.

Almost.

Luhan and Xi Fiona - The Scripted Relationship

It was easy for them. They were the perfect couple - scripted. She complemented him and he couldn’t get enough of her. Their families were incredibly settled and happy about the whole charade; they were good friends before lovers after all.

And yet, their relationship is revolved on who has more power. Often getting into silly arguments, bringing up faults from days gone by, feuds involving stereotypical jobs in their connection and sometimes, they forget who they are.

It’s easy for them to see the other as ‘the invisible person’. Quite often, he feels invisible to her, and sometimes sees through her.

They’re stuck in the same circle they revolve in, and yet they wait for the other one to break first. Learning to let go is something completely alien to them, and yet completely essential to every relationship.

Kim Jong Dae and Kwon Yura - The Acceptance Relationship

They’ve had a shifty past together, something that’s uncomfortable to bring up, but now, they’re on their way to a happy life together as Chen from EXO-M and Yura, the newest face of NII.

Within broad limits, they are themselves, and they still somehow manage to make themselves happy and each other joyful.

They’re both stable people with stable feelings, and Jong Dae knows how to restrain himself from eroding her patience, the same way she knows when to stop straining his enjoyment.

But sooner or later their expectations will reach boiling point, like it has done once or twice before, and the only part that keeps them from reconciliation in the end are their emotions.

Huang Zi Tao and Han Si Qing - The Healing Relationship

Not quite the terms ‘ buddies’ but something similar - essentially they’re just best friends.

Once or twice they’ve dabbled between the waters of friendship and relationship but in the end, he’s a busy Korean Pop star and she’s just a normal human being.

Zi Tao’s mood is really quite unpredictable, and often they’ve been teased to be the ‘opposite couple’ because of Si Qing’s even disposition and Zi Tao’s fluctuating spirit.

Physical distance is never a problem because wherever he goes, she goes and vice versa.

But Si Qing sees him as more of a troublesome child-friend rather than a boyfriend, even if they aren’t lovers, and Zi Tao is so busy that he’s just completely oblivious to her feelings and reactions.

However though they dwell on the past often, Zi Tao knows Si Qing possibly better than any other man knows his girlfriend. They provide each other with warmth when cold, comfort when lonely and a shoulder to cry on.

Zhang Yi Xing and Wang Yi Fei - The Transitional Relationship

Basically, they drive each other nuts.

Yi Fei (or Fei Fei as he calls her) is a new biochemist with itchy hands. She can never wait to get her hands on things.

Yi Xing is the dancer of EXO-M, and also a very popular Chinese television person as a child.

They’re constantly at each other’s necks, she’s always telling him about how to take care of his body, which medicines to take, so often that he’s calling her ‘mother’ instead of ‘baby’.

She’s obsessive compulsive and he just does not have the time to sort his life out with such precision like she does. This creates rifts; sometimes their understanding of each other only goes so far.

Fei Fei doesn’t know how he can just let a company dictate the way he lives, breathes and eats while Yi Xing just wants her to relax.

They’re each other’s first exes, and now they’re back at it, giving their relationship another go. It’s a good chance to practice a long term life together that was healthier than their old one (I’ll get more into that later), and occasionally they get glimpses of their lives together when they’re old.

Kim Min Seok and Choi Jin Hee - The Pastime Relationship

Theirs is more of a hobby really. They had one summer fling a long time ago and now they barely have time to meet up for coffee.

Jin Hee understands though, they have this... agreement.

They both have people on the other side, and are only there for each other when most needed. Somehow, it’s like they’re savouring each other for the best moments.

It’s passionate, delightful and tender while it lasts, but neither one has really thought ‘Is this who I want to be with when I wake up tomorrow?’

Nope, no one’s thought up to there yet.

Although lacking in the physical attraction department, Min Seok sure has humour to make up for it, and it’s not like Jin Hee careseither. She’s traditional to the point where for her the looks come second.

But sometimes his jokes go way too far and Jin Hee is just plain frigid, not budging from her pride and what she thinks is right.

She moves on easily and so does he, but moving on from each other seems to be the thing they just can’t handle.

Kim Joon Myun and Kim Hana - The Experimental Relationship

It’s safe to say that the leader of EXO-K Kim Joon Myun has always been a mummy’s boy. He’s always chosen a woman that has a similar personality to his mother, but this time his own mother has thrown him a shark in the form of Kim Hana.

Hana is witty, sharp and elegant, her aura in itself just out does Joon Myun by a hundred thousand times.

But she has a soft side for him, and although Joon Myun is cautious at first, approaching a young elegant lady as her, just how open she is captivates him.

And yet the only thing - well, the only big thing - refraining them from forming a couple is his willingness to settle down even with his pop star life, and her unwillingness to give up the parties, the fun and the... life.

Kim Jong In and Han Ji Min* - The Intense Relationship

It started off with a bang. For Sure. EXO-K’s resident dancing machine was a girl catcher, and only a handful knew that he was already hooked up with a seemingly wild young girl named Han Ji Min.

When they’re together, they care for nothing - no school work, no social lives, no work, no friends. They’re simply there for each other.

Seemingly out of nowhere, the two have rotated around each other for a few years already but only really paid attention to each other recently. The honeymoonphase of a relationship is currently their relationship.

But inevitably, such recklessness allows also an extreme overload of emotions. The lack of emotional barriers in their relationship glues them together closer than a couple should really be, and when one merely hints of any space in the relationships, it’s ‘load your guns and prepare for battle’

Nevertheless, this is the most passionate and volatile out of all the relationships.

Do Kyung Soo and Im Soo Yung - The Instantaneous Relationship

EXO-K’s D.O really has no interest in relationships but his cousins crazy as fan girl friend who just happens to meet him really wishes for him to be... perfect.

It’s what Kyung Soo hates about girls - their clingy-ness, their habit to depend on the boy, when obviously stars are not reliable due to schedules, and just being annoying in general.

He has nothing against Soo Yung, but just the fact that she will not get over him sends the normally cheerful Kyung Soo into a full on rampage on the girl.

But, he begins to care for her, like all cliche love stories do, and overjoyed, she spills the beans that they are indeed dating. All the feelings he has saved for her just flies out the window. Everyone is completely and utterly baffled while she sweetly blackmails him into dating her.

It’s instantaneous and a pain in the to get out of.

Oh Sehun and Choi Seul Ji - The Delayed and Subdued Relationship

Seul Ji and Sehun are more alike than that of any other couple. Ever. Period.

They are very private people who like to keep their true feelings and opinions reserved or just plain hidden.

However there are times where when Sehun doesn’t express his feelings, he then finds that he feels overshadowed, over looked by his friends, and that’s when he runs to Seul Ji, who happens to also feel the same way.

She’s highly practical and quite cynical, something he is not, and this creates bitterness at times where it is hated the most, sometimes causing little seeds of doubt to plant in their heads.

Though Sehun is young, he does not take Seul Ji for granted and that is something that everyone around him finds admirable. He has a deep capacity for love and often is the peace maker in his band and family life, but not so in his love life.

Park Chanyeol and Seo Ah Reum - The Cautionary Relationship

Ah Reum puts up with Chanyeol and that’s all anyone else cares about. As far as they know, Chanyeol hovers from girl to girl like he changes clothes. He does this for a reason though - he’s trying to find his perfect match.

But she’s been with him for a curiously long time and there are many people who are aching to know her secret.

Although she may not wear the pants in the relationship, she most definitely is in control of the belt holding it up.

Though Chanyeol moves quickly, both people pour as much heart and soul as they can into the relationship in their own ways in order to make it work - no matter how slow the reaction is or whether there is a reaction at all.

Ah Reum wants to make him see that he doesn’t need someone to perfectly suit him, she’s there after all.

Chanyeol wants her to see that not everything in the world will go her way when she wants it to - she’s just the tiniest bit conceited.

Byun Baekhyun and Park Hyun Soo - The Realist Relationship

Possibly the most peaceful out of all the relationships, Baekhyun and Hyun Soo know exactly how to complement each other - whether or not the other is willing.

He often creates a world inside his mind that seems just too good to be true, and so the outside world seems comparably pale and dull. She however, gives him a good scolding before pulling him back into the real world hence the term ‘Realist’.

Baekhyun often seeks to make sense of abstract ideas even when impossible, so sometimes Hyun Soo is neglected and incredibly lonely.

Of course, this also creates negative effects on Baekhyun, considering that he is a little reluctant to make friends, and generally his friends are also hers.

But both have the tendency to be strong minded and hard headed. If something goes wrong with their relationship or another friendship in which they feel that they are right, then there is absolutely no question as to whether they leave - they’ll do it without a glance back.

So this is also the most fragile out of all connections. If one were to leave, then it would tarnish their friends’ relationships with them as well.

They love each other? Without a doubt.

But the question is are they really meant for each other? Possibly not.

So if the porcelain cracks, is it replaceable?

[*The Han Ji Min in this fic is not the same as Han Ji Min in Forbidden Fruit.

Photos of the girls are of real people, some celebrities and some not. Sincere apologies to those that are not and have not given me permission to use the images.

I do not own any of EXO.]

the plot is really good make you should split it up make short stories or something because twelve couples on one time it's very easy to lose focus , I'm anticipating it
