A Memorable First Day Chapter 2

Hana couldn't shake off her scepticism about Chanyeol's decision to select her despite their recent fight. She wondered if he was genuinely a better person than she had initially thought or if there was a hidden plan behind his choice. Eager to share her thoughts, she confided in her best friend, Giselle, who became instantly excited.

As she pondered over this, her fingers tapped restlessly on the desk. She decided to confide in Giselle, who was sitting beside her, typing away on her computer.

"Giselle," Hana whispered, leaning closer to her friend. "I can't help but feel sceptical about why Chanyeol chose me despite our fight. Do you think he's a better person than I thought, or is there some ulterior motive behind his decision?"

Giselle paused her typing, turning to Hana with a curious expression. "Hmm, that's a good question, Hana. You know, sometimes people surprise us. Maybe Chanyeol saw something in you that he admired, something that made him change his mind."

Hana nodded, her brows furrowing. "You might be right, but it just feels strange, you know? I mean, we had such a disagreement, and now he's giving me this opportunity. It makes me wonder if there's something more going on."

Giselle offered a reassuring smile. "Well, one thing's for sure, Hana. You're talented, and maybe he saw that despite the argument. And if there is some hidden plan, well, you're strong and capable of handling it."

Hana took a deep breath, allowing Giselle's words to sink in. "You're right, Giselle. I shouldn't let my scepticism overshadow this chance. I'll give it my all and prove myself."

Giselle beamed. "That's the spirit, Hana! Show them what you're made of!"

Encouraged by her friend's support, Hana straightened her posture and focused on her computer screen. She was determined to make the most of this opportunity and prove her worth, regardless of Chanyeol's intentions.

After their conversation about Chanyeol, Hana and Giselle decide to unwind and celebrate the good news. Hana treated Giselle to a small Ramen party as a gesture of gratitude for being her rock through thick and thin.

As they entered the cosy Ramen shop, Giselle couldn't help but pout playfully. "Hana, I was hoping for a fancy barbecue party or something grand! Ramen is good, but I was in the mood for some extravagance!"

Hana chuckled, knowing Giselle's penchant for indulgence. "Oh, Giselle, you always have such extravagant tastes. But you see, I'm a little tight on funds right now, so Ramen is all I can afford."

Giselle pretended to sulk, dramatically resting her hand on her forehead. "Oh, the struggles of the broken but talented Hana! Fine, fine, I'll settle for Ramen this time. But next time, we're going all out!"

Hana grinned, appreciating Giselle's lightheartedness. "Deal! Next time, I'll make sure we have the most luxurious feast ever!"

With their spirits lifted, the two friends delved into their bowls of steaming Ramen, slurping noodles and sharing laughter. The simple pleasure of the moment reminded Hana of why she cherished her friendship with Giselle.

As they savoured the delicious meal, their conversation turned to office gossip. Giselle couldn't contain her excitement as she spilled the beans about a good-looking guy named Mark Lee in her office.

"Hana, you won't believe it! There's this guy, Mark Lee, in my office, and he's just too cute and clumsy. I can't help but swoon every time he walks by," Giselle exclaimed, a mischievous glint in her eyes.

Hana laughed, playfully nudging Giselle. "Oh, Giselle, you always fall for these guys. What makes this one any different?"

Giselle grinned and leaned closer, whispering conspiratorially, "Well, you never know, Hana. This could be the one! The guy who steals my heart and becomes my true love!"

They shared a laugh, but then Giselle's expression turned mischievous. "But you know what, Hana? There's this coworker of his, Mina, who's always clinging to him. It's like she wants to glue herself to his side or something. It's driving me crazy!"

Hana raised an eyebrow, intrigued by Giselle's annoyance. "Oh, really? So, you want to poke her eyes out, huh?"

Giselle chuckled and nodded. "You read my mind! Mina needs to back off a bit. I mean, Mark is a free spirit, and I don't think he's interested in being smothered."

Hana playfully nudged Giselle again. "Well, it seems like you have your sights set on Mark. Who knows, maybe you'll be the one to steal his heart and rescue him from Mina's clutches."

Giselle blushed, swatting Hana's arm gently. "Oh, stop it! You know I'm just having fun. But hey, stranger things have happened, right?"

The two burst into laughter, their voices filling the air with joy. They shared a special bond, understanding each other's dreams and aspirations. In moments like these, they found solace and strength.

As the evening wore on, Hana and Giselle continued to enjoy their Ramen, savouring every bite while relishing each other's company. Their laughter echoed through the small Ramen shop, drawing smiles from the other diners.

No matter the challenges they faced, Hana knew she had a friend like Giselle who would always be there, supporting and uplifting her spirits. And in return, Hana vowed to be there for Giselle, cheering her on in her quest for love and happiness.

Together, they laughed and celebrated, cherishing the simple pleasures in life and creating memories that would last a lifetime.

The next day, Hana woke up with a mixture of excitement and nervousness bubbling inside her. It was her first day at the new job, and she couldn't help but wonder what the day had in store for her. With butterflies in her stomach, she stepped into the office building and made her way to the designated area.

As Hana entered, she immediately spotted her superior, Heechul, who seemed to be in his own world, cracking jokes and flirting with anyone who crossed his path. His playful demeanour and witty remarks indicated a stark contrast between his age and the younger workforce. Hana couldn't help but chuckle as she observed Heechul's humorous antics from afar.

Heechul noticed Hana's arrival and approached her with a mischievous smile. "Ah, the new recruit has finally graced us with her presence! Welcome to the team, Hana," he greeted, extending his hand for a handshake. Hana reciprocates the gesture, grateful for the warm welcome.

With a smile, Hana greeted each of her coworkers, exchanging pleasantries and trying her best to match their energy. She found them weird in the most endearing way possible, realising that this vibrant group of individuals would undoubtedly make her workdays anything but dull.

Heechul turned to Nayeon, who was standing nearby, and nudged her playfully. "Nayeon, looks like we have another victim to join our crazy crew. Make sure to show Hana the ropes, okay?"

Nayeon grinned and nodded enthusiastically. "Of course, Heechul! Hana, don't worry, I'll be your guide through this whirlwind of an office. Just hold on tight!" She winked at Hana, her playful energy contagious.

Nayeon was a clumsy yet adorable girl with an infectious chatterbox personality. Nayeon immediately struck up a conversation with Hana, talking about her own experiences in the company and cracking jokes along the way. Hana found herself drawn to Nayeon's friendly nature and couldn't help but laugh at her quirky remarks.

Meanwhile, Rose stood a little shyly to the side, observing the interaction. Hana approached her, smiling warmly. "Hi, Rose. It's nice to meet you."

Rose blushed and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "H-hey, Hana. Welcome to the team. Don't mind Heechul's antics too much. He's harmless, really." Her eyes sparkled with a hint of mischief.

Rose, a seemingly shy girl who hid a savage wit beneath her soft-spoken demeanour. Rose's cute and innocent appearance contrasted with her sharp tongue, catching Hana off guard as she witnessed Rose effortlessly shut down a colleague's snide comment. Hana admired Rose's ability to assert herself while still maintaining her sweet facade.

Kyungsoo, who had been quietly observing the exchange, spoke up with a faint smile. "Ignore them, Hana. Focus on the work, and everyth
