Hana continued working in the office, her attention momentarily diverted when she noticed Momo and Heechul entering hand in hand. It didn't go unnoticed by her colleagues, who began teasing them playfully. Kyungsoo, with a wide smile, couldn't help but imagine how he and Nayeon would look if they were dating. He stole a glance at Nayeon, who was grinning while secretly envious of the couple. Sehun whispered to Kyungsoo, suggesting to him, “I guess you should confess your feelings to Nayeon before someone else does.”

Kyungsoo hesitated, unsure of the right time to make his move. He asked Sehun, “Do you think Nayeon would accept him”, to which Sehun nodded. Kyungsoo laughed, remarking, "So you do care about everything, yet you act like you don't."

Sehun retorted with his trademark line, "I wish I cared, bro." Kyungsoo grinned widely at Sehun, and the two friends turned their attention back to Momo and Heechul.

Nayeon playfully teased the couple, asking Heechul if he had finally realised his feelings. Heechul jokingly replied, "Maybe. I didn't realise I was a dimwit until now." Momo blushed at his remark, urging everyone to focus on work.

Rose, ever mischievous, teased Momo, “Your face is glowing, Momo. Is Heechul the reason behind it?” Momo blushed even deeper.

Suddenly, a new arrival caught everyone's attention. Hana and the newcomer made eye contact, and Heechul inquired, “Are you the transferred employee?” The man nodded and introduced himself as Han Seojun, expressing his hope for good teamwork and collaboration.

The office members welcomed him and introduced themselves, but when it was Hana's turn to speak, Seojun interrupted, stating, “She was the beautiful lady I had been on a blind date with”.

Hana blushed in embarrassment, feeling overwhelmed by Seojun's straightforwardness. The teasing and banter among the colleagues ensued, with Rose chiming in about Hana not revealing anything about her blind date.

Baekhyun, observing the scene from a distance, felt nervous about how Chanyeol would react if he noticed. He wanted to put an end to the banter before it escalated. Just then, someone cleared their throat, and everyone turned their heads to see their boss, Chanyeol, standing there looking handsome as ever. Greetings filled the room, and Hana greeted Chanyeol with a wide grin, grateful that he had arrived at the right time. Chanyeol's eyes were fixated on Hana, as if he were hypnotised by her presence. Her smile made him smile in return, and in that moment, it felt as if the world faded away, leaving only him and his beloved Hana. However, Baekhyun quickly pulled Chanyeol into his office, concerned about his behaviour.

Baekhyun couldn't believe Chanyeol’s actions. "What the heck, Chanyeol? Stop staring at her like that. I know you're head over heels for her, but everyone was looking at you weirdly," Baekhyun scolded.

Chanyeol nonchalantly replied, "So what? I love her. It's better if everyone knows that, and that guy will have no chance."

Baekhyun facepalmed, sighing in frustration. "Do you realise that at the party, all her colleagues bombarded her with questions about you two? She didn't know how to respond. If everyone in the office finds out that you love her, they might see you as a hypocrite due to your 'no coworkers dating' rule. What would Hana think? You know she strongly dislikes it," Baekhyun explained.

Chanyeol pouted, asking, "So what should I do now?" Baekhyun let out a frustrated sigh, saying, "Do as I told you." Chanyeol nodded reluctantly, agreeing to follow Baekhyun's advice.

Chanyeol sat in his office, contemplating how to approach the situation with Hana. He called Jennie, his assistant, into the room and asked her, "Can you call Hana and ask her to come to my office?"

Jennie nodded, flashing a smile, and said, "Sure, boss." She made the call and left the room, leaving Chanyeol alone with his thoughts.

Hana entered the room, slightly hesitant, and asked, "May I come in, boss?" Internally, she wondered if Chanyeol had reverted to his old self, where he would burden her with numerous tasks.

Despite her thoughts, Hana mustered a smile, trying to remain positive. Chanyeol returned her smile and gestured for her to take a seat. Hana sat down, facing Chanyeol, and glanced around the room, taking in her surroundings. Her eyes landed on a large shelf filled with books, and she couldn't help but wonder if Chanyeol had ever read them. Her gaze then shifted to another desk, where Chanyeol presumably had his lunch. Hana briefly considered if it belonged to Jennie, but then remembered that Jennie had her own separate desk outside of Chanyeol's office. Lost in her thoughts, Hana eventually turned her attention back to Chanyeol, who was engrossed in his work, his face wearing a serious expression. His sleeves were rolled up, revealing his muscular arms, and his neatly styled hair added to his overall attractiveness. Hana couldn't deny his good looks, but she firmly believed that physical appearance meant little if a person's character wasn't genuine.

Chanyeol noticed Hana staring at him and couldn't help but smirk. Hana quickly averted her gaze, feeling a bit flustered. She glanced at the clock and realised it was almost lunchtime. Did Chanyeol not want her to eat? She wondered silently. Before she could voice her concerns, Chanyeol spoke up, breaking the silence. "I brought some extra lunch. Would you like to eat with me?"

Hana was taken aback by his unexpected offer and his newfound kindness, or at least she hoped it was genuine. She mustered a grateful smile, replying, "Thank you for the offer, but I will eat in the office canteen."

Chanyeol nodded understandingly and said, "Okay. After you finish your work, come back here, alright?" He patted her head affectionately and smiled warmly at her. Hana was surprised by his actions but managed to smile as she nodded in agreement. She thanked Chanyeol and left the room, her mind racing with questions about why he had called her in the first place.

Outside Chanyeol's office, Nayeon, Rose, and Momo bombarded Hana with questions about why Chanyeol had summoned her. Hana decided not to mention the lunch invitation, but instead replied that Chanyeol wanted her to continue working in his office. The girls exchanged concerned glances, and Nayeon couldn't help but remark, "Does he hate you or something?"

Hana let out a sigh and responded, "Maybe." The uncertainty weighed heavily on her mind as she continued with her tasks, anxiously awaiting the end of the day to find out what Chanyeol had in store for her.

Exhausted, Hana made her way to Chanyeol's office. As everyone else was leaving the office, she reminded herself that she had to stay in Chanyeol's office to work. The thought alone made her let out a heavy sigh. With Chanyeol's permission, she entered the room and took a seat, remaining silent. She noticed that Chanyeol had removed his coat and left it on his chair. He was deeply engrossed in his work, but Hana couldn't help but observe the exhaustion etched on his face. He appeared tired, his tie loosened, signalling a long day. Hana wondered if Jennie had already gone home for the day. "Jennie probably headed home," Hana thought to herself. 

Suddenly, a chill swept over Hana in the office room, causing her to involuntarily shiver. Chanyeol, who glanced up from his work every now and then, noticed her reaction.

Without hesitation, he stood up and grabbed his coat, placing it around Hana's shoulders. Hana was taken aback by his unexpected gesture, especially when Chanyeol suggested, "It must be cold here, right? Come, let's go out for dinner."

Hana replied, somewhat surprised, "Dinner? Together?" Chanyeol smiled sweetly at her as he shut down his laptop, replying, "Yeah, what's wrong with that?"
