Dahyun arrived home late that night, feeling a sense of dread wash over her as she saw her father sitting on the couch, waiting for her. He looked up as she entered the room, his eyes cold and stern.

"Sit down," he said, his voice icy.

She hesitated for a moment before sitting down at the opposite end of the couch. She could feel her father's disapproving gaze fixed on her, and she struggled to keep her composure.

"I heard about your relationship with that girl, Sana," the man said, his voice laced with disgust.

The girl felt her heart sink as she braced herself for what was to come. She knew that her father's traditional Korean values would never accept her being in a same- relationship, and she was prepared for the worst.

"I can't believe you would do this to me," her father continued, his voice rising with anger. "Do you know how this makes me look in front of our relatives and friends? How can you be so selfish? Like your brother?" he asked with wrinkled forehead. "You have brought shame upon me, and I cannot allow it to continue. You need to end this relationship immediately."

"I can't do that," Dahyun said, her voice steady despite the fear that was churning in her stomach. "I love Sana, and I won't let anyone dictate who I should be with."

"You're choosing this girl over your own father?" the man spat. "You're willing to throw away everything I've done for you for some meaningless fling?"

"What have you done for me, Dad? You cheated on Mom multiple times. You are the reason why I am living with a broken family. You think you can control my life and who I love, but you can't. I am not going to let your narrow-minded views ruin my happiness."

"How dare you speak to me like that?" he hissed, his face turning red with anger. "Do you think I would have done what I did if your mother wasn't lacking? She couldn't fulfill my needs as a man, and that's why I strayed. But you wouldn't understand that, would you? You're just a naive little girl who thinks she knows everything."

Dahyun's eyes narrowed as she listened to her father's words. She took a deep breath before speaking, trying to keep her voice calm despite the anger and hurt that were boiling inside her.

"Does it ever enter your mind that maybe the reason why I don't like to date boys is because of you?" she asked, her voice laced with bitterness. "Because you're like that, I think that everyone else is like you. You have made me distrustful of men and relationships, and I am trying to find my own way despite the damage you have caused. But you wouldn't understand that, would you? You're too wrapped up in your own ego to care about anyone else's feelings."

"Don't you blame me for your sin! This is not about me, it's about you and your immoral behavior."

"Why don't you just say that you hate me?" she asked, her voice trembling with anger and hurt. "Even if I'm not like this, you still hate me, don't you? You hate us. You hate me, Sunoo, and Mom! Why would you even build this family only to hate it?"

Tears threatened to spill down her cheeks as she looked at her father, feeling the weight of years of disappointment and betrayal. "I have tried so hard to forgive you and move on, but you make it so hard. You never take responsibility for your actions, and you blame everyone else for your mistakes. How can you expect me to respect you or listen to anything you say when you treat us like this?"

"You're right, Dahyun. I do hate this family, and I regret having it more than anything. If I could turn back time, I would never have met your mother. Maybe if I had chosen someone else, I would be happy. But this family makes me unhappy, and I can't stand the sight of any of you."

"What's your reason for hating us?" the girl asked, her voice rising with anger. "What did we ever do to you to deserve this?! You were the one who chose to cheat on Mom and ruin our family. You were the one who made us suffer through all of this! And now you're saying that you hate us? How can you be so heartless?"

When the man didn't answer, she clenched her jaw and looked down at her feet. "I'm done with you," she said, her voice cold and resolute. "I can't live in this toxic environment anymore. I'm going to pack my things and leave. You won't have to see me or hear from me again."

Without waiting for a response, she her heel and stormed away with tears streaming down her face. She went to her room, gathered her belongings.

As Dahyun walked down the road, she couldn't help but feel a sense of emptiness in her chest. She had never imagined that she would leave her father like this, but she couldn't take it anymore. She was lost in thought, not paying attention to her surroundings, until she heard someone calling her name. "Dahyun! What are you doing out here so late?" Tzuyu asked, jogging over to her.

"Oh, I just needed to clear my head," she said, forcing a smile. "I'm actually heading to my mother's place for a few days. It's been a while since I visited her."

Tzuyu noticed the bags Dahyun was carrying and asked, "Do you need a ride? Your bags look heavy, and the bus stop is still quite far away."

"No, it's fine. I'll just take the bus."

"Are you sure? My father's car is available right now and I know how to drive. Let me give you a ride, it's no trouble."

Dahyun hesitated, not wanting to be a burden to her friend, but the thought of carrying her heavy bags all the way to the bus stop was daunting. "Well, if you insist. Thank you, Tzuyu."

"Let me just go get the car." She jogged off to retrieve her father's car while Dahyun waited on the side of the road, feeling grateful for Tzuyu's kindness.

Dahyun couldn't help but think about Sana and how she would react to this. She knew that the girl would be worried about her, and she didn't want to burden her with her family problems. She also didn't want her to blame herself for any of it. It wasn't Sana's fault, and it will never be.

As Tzuyu drove, she started talking about random things, and they eventually got to the topic of Sana. She mentioned that the girl used to have a boyfriend before they started dating, and Dahyun was surprised. "Sana never told me about that," she said in a whisper.

"Oh, I thought you knew. I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable."

"It's fine. I guess she just didn't want to talk about it."

"Yeah, I think it was a pretty rough breakup for her. His name is Woo-shik. They were together for a while, but it wasn't a good relationship. He was possessive and controlling, always wanting to know where she was and who she was with. Sana tried to break up with him a few times, but he would always beg for her to come back, promising to change. But he never did."

"It even got to a point where he started to get physical with her. He would push her around and grab her wrists. She tried to break up with him, again, after that, but he would always do the same thing, asking for forgiveness and promising to change. And Sana, being the kind-hearted person she is, believed him over and over again."

"He's really annoying, you know? He would constantly belittle her, telling her that she wasn't good enough, and that he was the best thing that ever happened to her. He even tried to isolate her from her friends, including me."

Dahyun's heart sank as she listened about Sana's past relationship. She couldn't imagine what her girlfriend had gone through, and she felt angry towards Woo-shik for treating her that way. "That's terrible," she said, shaking her head in disbelief. "Is he still bothering her now?"

"I don't think so. Sana finally had enough and ended things for good. He's tried to contact her a few times, but she's ignored him. I don't think he's tried anything since then, but you never know with people like him."

"Well, he better not try anything, because I won't let him get away with it," Dahyun whispered.

"I know you won't, Dahyun," the other girl said reassuringly. "But I have one favor to ask of you."

"Anything, Tzuyu."

"Please don't hurt Sana. I know you wouldn't intentionally, but I just want to make sure that she's always happy and safe with you."

As the group arrived at the airport, Nayeon took charge of making sure they all checked in and boarded the plane smoothly. They were all excited and chatty on the plane, talking about what they wanted to do during their trip.

Nayeon and Jeongyeon were sitting beside each other on the plane, just like they always did. They were bickering over something small, as they often did. This time, they were arguing about who gets to choose the first activity they do once they arrive in Jeju.

"I think we should go to the beach first," Nayeon said confidently.

"No way, we should go sightseeing and check out some of the landmarks first," Jeongyeon argued back.

"But the beach is so beautiful and relaxing! We can save the landmarks for later."

"I don't know why I bother arguing with you. You always get your way anyway."

"That's because I'm always right."

Meanwhile, Momo and Jihyo were sitting beside each other, but the atmosphere between them was awkward. Jihyo was still acting coldly towards the other girl, which made her feel uncomfortable. She tried to start a conversation, but Jihyo gave her the cold shoulder once again.

"Hey, did you see that cute cafe in the brochure? Maybe we could check it out together later?" she asked, hoping to get her friend's attention.

Jihyo looked away and pretended not to hear her. "Jihyo, come on, talk to me. What's wrong?" Momo whined, trying to get the girl to open up for the umpteenth time.

"Nothing's wrong, Momo," Jihyo replied curtly. "I just don't feel like talking right now."

"Fine, I'll just connect to the plane's Wi-Fi and talk to someone else."

"Oh really? Who are you going to talk to then?" Jihyo asked with a hint of sarcasm in her voice. "Kai?" she added, referring to the guy she was jealous of.

"What? No! I'll talk to anyone who actually wants to have a conversation with me," Momo shot back, before turning to her phone to connect to the Wi-Fi.

Jihyo knew she was being irrational, but she couldn't help the way she felt. "What if he's the one who actually wants to talk to you? Will you have a conversation with him then?" she asked, unable to resist making a snide comment.

"Jihyo, can we please just drop this? I don't want to argue with you on our vacation," Momo said, letting out an exasperated sigh.

"Come on, just admit it. You like him, don't you? It's obvious."

"Oh, please, I don't like Kai. I like someone else."

"Someone else? How come I don't know who you like then?" Jihyo asked, looking at Momo quizzically.

The latter girl couldn't bring herself to answer truthfully. She didn't want to risk ruining their friendship or making things more awkward betwee
