Miyeon, Jennie, Mina, and Dahyun sat in the locker room, their swim caps pulled down over their heads and their goggles resting on their foreheads. They glanced at each other, and Dahyun could sense the calm and confidence radiating from her teammates.

"I don't feel as nervous as I thought I would," Mina said, adjusting the straps on her swimsuit. "The other teams who made it to the finals seemed to just get lucky."

Jennie nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I don't think we have anything to worry about. We've trained hard for this."

Miyeon smiled. "Exactly. Let's just focus on our own race and do our best."

Dahyun took a deep breath, feeling a sense of pride and excitement swell within her. She knew that her team had worked hard for this moment, and they were ready to give it their all.

"Let's go out there and show them what we're made of," she said, her voice b with confidence.

The four of them exited the locker room, their hearts pounding with excitement. They could hear the muffled roar of the crowd outside, the sound of people cheering and shouting for their school.

As they made their way to the side of the swimming pool, they couldn't help but feel a sense of awe. This was a different venue, and the swimming pool was wider and longer than any they had ever competed in before. The water shimmered under the bright lights, and the air was charged with electricity.

The four of them gathered together and started to stretch, their bodies warm and limber. They could feel the eyes of the crowd upon them, and the cheers grew louder as they started to move.

It was an incredible feeling, to be surrounded by so many people who believed in them. They could see their classmates in the stands, waving banners and flags with their school's colors. Parents and friends cheered them on, their voices blending together in a symphony of sound.

Dahyun looked up at the crowd, feeling her heart swell with pride. This was what it was all about - the hard work, the long hours of training, the sacrifices they had all made to get here. It was all worth it, to be here, in this moment, with her teammates by her side.

As She scanned the crowd, her eyes landed on a familiar figure. It was Sana, holding a brightly colored banner with Dahyun's name on it. The latter girl couldn't believe her luck - not only was she here, competing in the finals, but the girl she loved was here, cheering her on.

Sana saw her, and mouthed the words, "I love you".

Dahyun's breath caught in , and she felt a warm flush spread across her cheeks. She knew that Sana was proud of her, and it made her want to give more, to give this competition her all.

"If I were Dahyun, I would dive right now, even if the competition hasn't started yet. Your 'I love you' would probably make me go crazy!" She let out a playful sigh. "I'm so envious of Dahyun. She's got the best cheerleader in the world."

"Oh, are you jealous now, Nayeon?" Sana grinned, feeling proud and happy to be able to support the girl. "But yeah, I guess Dahyun's pretty lucky to have me," she teased, nudging Nayeon playfully.

Nayeon rolled her eyes, but her smile betrayed her amusement. "Oh, shut up," she said, playfully punching Sana's arm. "I can't believe everyone else is in love except for me. It's just not fair."

"Don't worry, Nayeonnie. Your time will come."

"And how do you know that?"

"I just have a feeling. And besides, you're amazing. Anyone would be lucky to be with you."

Just as Nayeon was about to reply, Jeongyeon stepped in between them with a grin. "Hey, hey, Sana. You shouldn't make Nayeon's head turn too big with those compliments. We don't want her to become too full of herself now, do we?" she teased, nudging Nayeon with her elbow.

"Hey, I'll have you know that I'm already pretty great. I don't need Sana's compliments to know that."

"See, this is why we don't compliment Nayeon. She's already too confident as it is!" Jeongyeon exclaimed.

Sana laughed, feeling the camaraderie between them. It was moments like these, surrounded by her closest friends, that made her feel grateful and happy.

"Just say that you are the only one who doesn't like me, Jeongyeon. Everyone else likes me."

Jeongyeon sighed, on the verge of just giving up. She shook her head as she whispered, "I don't want this conversation."

Sana looked around, scanning the crowd for any sign of Jihyo or Momo. "Hey, where are Jihyo and Momo? They're cutting it close," she remarked.

"They're probably on their way," Jeongyeon replied, her eyes still fixed on the pool.

"Speaking of Jihyo and Momo, how are things between them now? They've been pretty awkward lately," Nayeon said, causing Sana to look curious. She thought that the two girls made up, because that's what she had heard from Momo.

"Awkward? Why?"

Nayeon looked at Jeongyeon, who sighed before answering. "Well, it's no secret that Kai's been acting pretty close to Momo lately, and Jihyo's been pretty tense about it. I think it's been affecting their friendship."

"Ahh, I see."

Nayeon snorted. "Typical Sana, always in her own little world with Dahyun," she teased, but there was a hint of fondness in her voice.

Sitting behind Nayeon, Jeongyeon, and Sana were Chaeyoung and Tzuyu, listening to their conversation with interest. Tzuyu leaned in close to Chaeyoung and whispered, "Do you think Jeongyeon likes Nayeon romantically? That's why she always makes fun of her."

Chaeyoung's eyes widened at the suggestion, and she looked at Jeongyeon with newfound curiosity. It was true that Jeongyeon had a habit of teasing Nayeon, but Chaeyoung had always thought it was just harmless banter between friends. She whispered back to Tzuyu, "I don't know. Do you think so?"

"It's just a feeling I have. Maybe I'm wrong."

Chaeyoung raised an eyebrow at Tzuyu's response. "Why do you ask? Are you interested in either of them?" she whispered back.

"I'm not sure. I just get this feeling sometimes, you know? And besides, it's not like anything can happen between us, anyway."

"I think you're just trying to distract yourself from your own feelings. I can tell that you like Jeongyeon in a way."

Tzuyu blushed, feeling caught off guard by Chaeyoung's insight. "What? No, I don't!" she protested, but Chaeyoung just laughed and gave her a knowing look.

The four swimmers of the medley relay team stood huddled together with their coach, Mr. Son, before the competition started. Miyeon, Jennie, Mina, and Dahyun listened intently as their coach reminded them of the points they needed to focus on.

"Remember, this is a relay race. Each of you plays a crucial role in making sure the team succeeds," Mr. Son said, looking at each of the swimmers in turn. "You need to give it your all right from the start, and make sure your transitions are seamless. Don't let your nerves get the better of you, and trust in each other."

He paused for a moment, his eyes scanning their faces. "And remember, the most important thing is to have fun. You've trained hard for this, and I have no doubt you'll do great."

The girls nodded, feeling a sense of camaraderie and determination. They knew they could count on each other to do their best, and with their coach's guidance, they were ready to take on the competition.

As the announcer's voice boomed through the arena, the excitement among the crowd grew palpable. The swimmers of the medley relay team took their positions at the edge of the pool, each of them in their own world, mentally preparing for the race ahead.

Miyeon, the first swimmer of the team, took a deep breath as she positioned herself on the starting block, eyes fixed ahead. Jennie, Mina, and Dahyun, standing at the edge of the pool, cheered her on, their hearts beating fast with anticipation.

"Swimmers, take your marks!" the announcer declared, and the four teammates stood at the ready, poised for the starting signal.

A hush fell over the arena as the signal blared, and Miyeon dove into the water with incredible speed, expertly slicing through the surface. The audience erupted into cheers as she made her way down the pool, gliding effortlessly through the water.

Jihyo and Momo made their way through the crowded bleachers, the noise of the crowd echoing in their ears. As they descended the stairs, Momo's attention was fixated on the pool, her eyes glued to Miyeon as she sliced through the water.

But as she took one step too quickly, Momo lost her footing and nearly tumbled down the remaining steps. In a split second, Jihyo reacted and caught her just in time, pulling her back to safety.

Momo's heart was pounding in her chest, partly from the near fall and partly from the shock of Jihyo's sudden move. She looked up at Jihyo, expecting a kind word or a smile, but the older girl's expression was as cold as ever.

Jihyo's grip on Momo's arm tightened as she pulled her closer, her lips pursed in annoyance. "Be careful," she muttered, clicking her tongue in frustration. Momo couldn't help but feel hurt by Jihyo's coldness, especially in the midst of such a thrilling competition.

As they made their way to their seats, Momo couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that had settled in her stomach.

Momo tried to shake off the feeling of discomfort as she watched the relay team power through the water. However, she couldn't help but feel like Jihyo was distant and cold towards her. Wanting to get Jihyo's attention, she reached into her bag and pulled out a bottle of water.

"Jihyo, can you open this for me?" Momo asked, holding out the water bottle.

Jihyo glanced at her, and with a sigh, she reached over and twisted the cap open. Momo smiled, grateful for the brief moment of kindness.

As the race continued, Momo couldn't resist the urge to seek Jihyo's attention again. This time, she pulled out a bag of chips from her bag. "Jihyo, can you open this one too?" she asked, holding out the bag.

Jihyo rolled her eyes but reached over to open the bag with ease. Momo knew it wasn't even hard to open, but she was desperate for some sort of connection with Jihyo.

Momo's eyes wandered over to Jihyo's forehead, noticing the beads of sweat that had formed under the hot sun. Without thinking, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a handkerchief.

"Jihyo, your forehead is getting sweaty," Momo said, leaning over to pat the cloth onto her friend's forehead.

"I can do it myself," Jihyo replied curtly, but Momo persisted.

"No, I want to do it," she said firmly, not willing to let go of the chance to connect with Jihyo.

The two girls began to bicker quietly, their voices just above a whisper. Jihyo was insistent that she could handle her own sweat, while Momo was equally insistent on helping her friend.

But despite the bickering, Momo could sense a small spark of warmth growing between them. Maybe, just maybe, things weren't as cold as they seemed between her and Jihyo.

As Momo and Jihyo bickered quietly over the handkerchief, they failed to notice the curious gaze of Jeongyeon and Nayeon. The two girls sat a few seats away, their eyes fixed on Momo and
