A/N to requestee: honestly… i was debating whether making this cute, awkward, giddy, silly, annoying, or mess. And then I said to myself, wait. I already did that in DYR. I’ll just do it again! But this time, Wheein is older, already a professor, BUT I cannot make the prompt ProfessorxStudent wherein Byul is her student and they do loveydovey romance. It isnt a bad idea and it did not make me uncomfortable, don’t worry. I just don’t like those as an SFW and “we should totally see this as a good thing” dynamic (same with the patientxdoctor, it’s good but as a concept, is my autonomy and philosophy showing? haha...). So this is very... GEN. It isn't romantic coded. WE CANT DO THAT... not here anyway.

You don’t need to take an art class. You don’t know about art. You can have any elective, Byulyi what the are you doing in Art History?!

Those were the several concerns raised by numerous people that rang in Byulyi’s head. They were right. Byulyi is a physics major. Kinetic physics specifically. She’s not that committed to physics to major in Quantum physics. She’d rather be bald. Well, she’ll have to study some Quantum mechanics but… that’s for future Byulyi to deal with.

She just needs an elective to replace the hours she was excused from. And she thought, she’s working for a Bachelor of Arts in Physics. Might as well have some literal Art on her audit. Right? That’s how it works, right…?

Whatever. She’ll find a way. She always does. That’s who she is.

Wheein feels sick. Sick and nervous. She’s… in a weird twisted way, more comfortable teaching a high level class than a 100 level class. It isn’t her vibe to have about more than twenty students in her class. And have five different classes. No. Dear god, no. That’s so much work– so much people– so much– too much–

This might just be Wheein’s nightmare. Why did she say yes? Who possessed her to get that bag and proceed to fumble it immediately?! This is fine. She is fine. She taught several classes. She has a Phd. She taught a 200 art class, about contemporary art– she taught a 300, art literacy? Easy! She even taught a senior 400 class about critique– granted she had at most 5 students in the classroom and knew them all closely and everything was specialized and way easier…

Ah, .

She looks at her final and uploaded syllabus for this Art history course. She can really just hope for the best, at this point. Good luck to her guinea pigs as she test drives a syllabus made at… 4am under the influence of copious amounts of coffee.

The fateful day of first classes had arrived and Byulyi was– surprisingly the first person in the classroom. It felt so unnatural that she had to double, triple check if she’s in the right room– building– she was.

It was just… 10 minutes early. By this time classrooms are usually– for a 100 class, are filling up. The room’s lights were still closed, everything was just… empty. It felt like… she’s being pranked. Or maybe this is just what early people see.

Wheein is running late. Her previous class– the same 100 level one, was in a building so far from the next– which by the way only gives her 10 minutes to travel. But those were the least of her problems. The main predicament is that it is in the annoying labyrinth of a building– the one with horror stories of getting lost, never getting to class– actual ghosts, whatever.

Why does all universities have that one cursed building everyone hates?! And why does her ART class have to BE THERE?!

She was running– debating whether or not she’ll rent a quick bike– opts out, runs her little legs and short strides into oblivion. She can be a bit late, right? They won’t hate her, right?
