The group's comeback was expected to be a hit. The fans, SONEs, ReVeLuvs, MYs, and Jumping Boas, were very supportive of their subunit. Throughout their time together, Hyoyeon has gotten closer with everyone. Taeyeon has always been friendly to her hoobaes so it is not surprising to have such bonds with the younger girls. But to Hyoyeon, this is new. She never had a really tight friendship with idols that are younger than her.

These girls, she loved them to death. And this is better than to have no one. She misses the girls, but for now, everyone else is focused on their respective gigs. She has Taeyeon, though. She always has Taeyeon with her.

They are currently practicing for their music show. Taeyeon has finished her makeup and is currently waiting for the other girls. Hyoyeon is now seated at the salon as Taeyeon watches her in the mirror. She can see how her eyes turn into a thin line whenever Hyo has the biggest smile on her face. She does not fail to notice the nonchalant expression of Hyo whenever she makes a joke. She also noticed that when Hyoyeon is too immersed in a story, often hangs open, and she reacts to every smallest detail with faint gasps. 

What Taeyeon fails to notice is that Hyoyeon was watching her back. Hyoyeon saw how Taeyeon would cover her face to laugh at something she wasn't supposed to hear. She would see how Taeyeon would scrunch her face whenever she giggled like an ahjumma. She would also notice how her gaze would linger when Hyoyeon pretends to not notice her.
