So this is the first time I wrote omega verse haha, for your information, this is a classic take on omega verse, with only ONE Alpha per pack, where to be an Alpha you need to beat the Alpha of the pack. (There are going to be multiple parts!)

"[...] Yesung panted harshly against the cold tiles under him, his body was aching badly, he could feel his skin turning blue in some places, and he hoped his lips would stop bleeding soon. 

But all this pain, it was nothing against the humiliation his mind felt about losing his title like this.

He wasn't an alpha anymore. 

He looked up from the ground towards the man just above him, his eyes flicking from yellow to red, proof he wasn't a beta anymore, but an alpha, the alpha of the pack, proof he defeated his own alpha in a fair fight, taking this title from him.

Yesung bitterly chuckled in his mind, what fair fight? 

Kyuhyun always had been too smart for his own good, Yesung always though the beta would make a great advisor, a man he could rely on when times will come, and he had been those last few months, he had been the one he relied on during strategic wars, how to manage the pack, he always thought greatly of him, he always...

He always treated him well.

Yesung couldn't understand this betrayal.

Maybe Kyuhyun thought he was too soft for the task, it was true he confessed to Kyuhyun those last few weeks, that the pressure sometimes made him feel anxious, nervous. He confessed many things to him, thinking he could share his pain with a friend, a great friend, Kyuhyun could, no, had been, this good friend. 

But maybe it all had been only in his mind, those shared moments, those soft eyes looking at him with kindness and understanding, the way he always grabbed his hand calmly, trying to comfort him when it got too much... Maybe all of that was just a ploy for this exact moment.

When Kyuhyun challenged him, he couldn't believe his ears, he thought it was a joke at first, but the man looked too serious for it to really be. And as tradition asked for, he went up to the task.

Yesung never makes the mistake of underestimating his opponent, but it was true Kyuhyun WAS weaker than he. But not all fights are only physical, and this one... This one, Kyuhyun used his own feelings against him.

"Hyung would not be too mad at me, right?"

This was enough to destabilizes him for long enough for Kyuhyun to beat him.

And now, here they were.

He wasn't an alpha anymore, and until Kyuhyun decided for him, he wasn't anything anymore. He hoped that Kyuhyun would allow him to stay. More often than not, old leaders were banned from the pack, but Yesung didn't hope for that at all, he could bear the shame for a few months, if it meant he stayed. He loved his family.

He looked into the eyes of the one who defeated him, the one who now had his fate in his hands, and hated how his cruel heart couldn't help beating at the sight of the man looking at him like that. 

Love really was cruel.

"Hyung" Kyuhyun murmured after a while, "please don't hate me too much."

He didn't need to worry too much about that, hatred wasn't a feeling he could feel about the younger man, no matter how hard he tried right now.

Kyuhyun just kept looking at him, at his face, his brows frowned at the sight of his bloody lip, but didn't say anything yet. And then suddenly:

"I, Cho Kyuhyun, am is now the alpha of the pack!" He shouted to the pack, looking at both of them, "I won fair and square! My eyes will be proof of my statue, and the blood I spilled is enough of a sacrifice for my pack to witness" He breathed, turned to Yesung and said "and now for our ex-alpha..."

Yesung stopped breathing.

"I will allow him to keep living with us, as proof of his good services for the pack all those years" 

Yesung instantly relaxed, and breathed. Alright. He could stay. He'll need to prove he wasn't a threat to the pack, that he wasn't animated by revenge, that he was grateful for the opportunity, and then, maybe in a few months, years, he'll be able to show his loyalty enough to be able to come back to the council, and maybe be what Kyuhyun once was to him, it would be enough, it was going to be enough he-

"However" Kyuhyun interrupted his train of thoughts

"For the peace of mind of the pack, and for a better future together, I will now turn him into an omega."

No.

Oh no, no no no no no.

An omega. The lowest statue a pack could have. 

It's not like he couldn't gain respect in the future with that, but it would be limited, harder to overcome. It would be impossible to ever try to stand back as an equal, as someone he could respect.

Despair must have shown on his face, because Kyuhyun's face soften a bit, but Yesung couldn't understand why, when he was sentencing him to a life of a lower level.

Kyuhyun approached him slowly, getting down on his height, and took his chin softly into his hand.

"Hyung always had been pretty, I always thought, such a pretty man, how could he be so strong, such a good alpha?" He said, so softly, Yesung could be the only one hearing it. "I'm sorry I had to ruin your pretty face for now, but I'll make sure Hyung will get the best treatment possible for his wounds."

Yesung wasn't sure what the hell he was talking about. He got defeated! He was going to be turned into an omega! He didn't care about his damn face.

Kyuhyun chuckled at his expression.

"Yeah, Hyung doesn't understand, doesn't he. " The pressure on his chin got stronger, he whined a little bit in pain, and they instantly relaxed. "Hyung probably feels betrayed right now, nothing more. It's alright, I knew I was taking a huge risk by doing that." He sighed. "But Hyung needs to know, I thought Hyung was an excellent alpha, and it's not because I thought otherwise I'm doing this."

Kyuhyun's gaze was heavy on his skin, too heavy.

"You see, Hyung, I'm terribly selfish. I want everything. I always did." He smiled, slowly his cheek with his finger, "And what I wanted the most, I couldn't have as a beta. You know it yourself, Hyung, the alpha always mates only with an omega."

Yesung eyes widened a bit at that, did Kyuhyun...?

"Hyung is starting to understand, I see. I hope Hyung will give me a chance when he feels better."

His eyes got redder, and his teeth started to show, Yesung closed his eyes, he was going to turn into an omega soon, he hoped it didn't hurt as much as he heard it did.

"No matter what, Hyung will be mine."

He bit him.
