Once upon a time there was nothing.

The world was just full of darkness and shadows, nothing was alive because nothing could be alive, nothing was seen because nothing could be seen, and who would see anything in the first place.

The world was empty. Except for one being.

One being, ruler of the shadows and darkness looked upon the world that was assigned to him with a certain tenderness and love, a kindness to this realm that was him, and even though there was nothing there for him to bless, nothing for him to see, he still loved his little world anyway. 

The being has been called Yesung by his creator, and even his sisters and brothers called him cursed to be a ruler of such a sad thing as shadows, making it impossible for his realm to blossom, he didn't really see it that way, the shadows were quiet, and peaceful to him, there was some quality of a place without a sound, without life, a state of peacefulness they couldn't understand.

But they were right in one way, the world he was in was painfully lonely. The first few centuries didn't really bother him much, his family still visited him sometimes, curious about the evolution of a realm without anything but darkness, but the novelty of it died when they saw his place never changing, forever quiet and dark. Months pass, years pass, their visits are very few in between, until they don't visit anymore, and Yesung is just completely alone.

But such was his life, what could he do about it anyway? He didn't have the power to create, and clearly, nothing could be born only from the shadows except him, so he had nothing else to do.

Yesung resigned himself to this life, to an eternity of loneliness sometimes, maybe, interrupted by the visit of one of his siblings, it was his life after all, and he should cherish it.

Until one day, something happened.

A light was born from the shadows.

The first time Yesung saw this small light, he was scared, he didn't know what to do about it, it looked so fragile, in the middle of his darkness, he tried to make some place for it, but it still was engulfed by his shadows. 

So he tried for years, centuries, to watch the light carefully, to look as it grows and grows, it gave him a new purpose, something to watch out for, something to do.

Then one day, the light got big enough to fit his own figure inside, and for the first time in his life, he stepped out of the shadows and went into the light. He hesitated at first, he didn't know if it was dangerous for him to do so, but he decided to do it anyway, after all, it's not like he was risking a lot.

But nothing happened. He just felt a certain warmness he didn't feel in his shadows, and the light hurt his immortal eyes for a second, except that, at first, it wasn't that different from his shadows. 

A bit disappointed, he tried to go back to his darkness  -maybe something will happen later?-, but then, he felt something catch his arms, pushing his back against something that felt a bit too much like light itself, it was warm, too warm. And suddenly, he could feel a breath against his cheek and he realized that what grabbed him was a hand.

"Finally~" A voice as warm as a sun talked just behind him, a hint of playfulness in his voice.

"Finally, Hyung decided to meet me"
