Byulyi drowsily turned around, reaching out her hand hoping to pull her girlfriend closer so as to prolong her sleep. She couldn't feel anything, though, so she cracked an eye open to see Yongsun's part of the bed was already made and barely had any lingering warmth.

She could only guess that her lover had left the bed long ago.

Done with personal hygiene, she dragged herself into the living room. A delicious ham and cheese sandwich was placed neatly on the coffee table, with a little note that said,

"Some urgent work at the office. I'm using our car so just take the bus after your breakfast. -Yongsun"

Weird. The note itself wasn't weird, but the fact that she signed the note with her real name instead of the usual "Yong," - and that she headed to work first without prior notice or letting her say goodbye - was, and honestly, it made Byulyi sad. Trying to convince herself that she must have run out of time for work to do anything else, the younger woman sulkily munched on the sandwich before preparing herself for work.

By now Byulyi was sure Yongsun was having a beef with her. 

She came home with a smile as she talked animatedly on the phone, but immediately became distant and cranky when she saw her waving from the kitchen. The older woman just wordlessly headed to her own room, making her jaw drop in confusion.

Did she do something wrong recently? Did she accidentally put too much salt in the vegetable soup yesterday? Was it a joke of hers that crossed the line? It can't be; she still acted normally around her last night.

Byulyi awkwardly scratched her head with thousands of thoughts swirling in her head. Dinner proceeded in silence because the older woman refused to entertain any effort of her trying to start a conversation. Before leaving the table, Yongsun glared at her as she said:

- I have work to do tonight. Feel free to flirt around with other girls. Don't you dare come into my room.

Byulyi blinked.

What?
