Chapter 9 | Fold

After an hour, Seulgi and Wendy finally got to Joy’s place. It might have been a very long ride, but Seulgi enjoyed teaching Wendy the dos and don’ts of driving in Metro Manila. All in all, Wendy did really great once she had aa good grip on it. With more, confidence, Wendy drove with little to no supervision at all.

“Are you ready to ask Joy to be your date yet?” Seulgi asked her cousin before they went out of the car.

“I’m getting jitters. I might get rejected.” Wendy slowly unbuckled her seatbelt. Somehow, she worries more about how she would ask Joy than driving home later tonight.

“Joy wouldn’t reject you. I know. I just know.” Seulgi tried reassuring her cousin. She knows she needed to boost Wendy’s confidence. And besides, she knows how to push all of Joy’s buttons. She plans on doing something to help Wendy a bit later.

“I do hope so.” Wendy could only say before getting out of the car. Her jitters are still controlling the best of her.

Just as usual, Seulgi waltzed in, feeling at home. They saw Yeri, who was doing Tiktok in the living room. Yeri was too focused on dancing, she didn’t notice the cousins arrive. Seulgi then joined Yeri in dancing to let the younger lady know they were there.

“Ate Seulgi!” Yeri shouted as she finished recording the video. “Your entrance was so on point!” She even showed the cut on her phone screen before posting it online.

Wendy was just standing like a tree at the side because she didn’t know how she’d place herself. She was still trying to figure out how she’d ask Joy.

“Oh, Yeri. I forgot to introduce you. This is Wendy, my cousin.” Seulgi then said to Yeri when she saw how out of place her cousin was.

“Hey, Ate Wendy!” Yeri excitedly went in front of her Ate Seulgi’s cousin to shake hands with her. “It’s nice to finally meet you!”

“I’m pleased to meet you too, Yeri! You’ve grown so much.” Wendy said to Joy’s sister. In a way, it was like Yeri’s face was mixed Ate Irene and Joy’s.

“Ate Joy! Ate Irene! You both have visitors!” Yeri climbed up at the end of the stairs before shouting. It will be enough for her older sisters to hear her.

Joy was the first to go down. “I thought you two would be busy today?” She asked the cousins. It was a legal holiday today that’s why they didn’t have classes. She spent the day watching UAAP volleyball replays inside her room.

“That’s the thing, Wendy has something to ask you,” Seulgi told her best friend while looking at Irene, who was climbing down the stairs.

“What’s up? Why is Yeri being too loud again?” Irene asked because her youngest sister’s unpleasing voice was echoing throughout her room.

“Hey, you.” Seulgi waved at Irene.

“Oh, what brings you here?” Irene looked at Seulgi intently. With that look, she already knew.

Seulgi kissed Irene’s cheek right after Irene got to the last step of the stairs. Right now, she regrets she forgot to give Irene the heads up. She was really caught up with teaching Wendy to drive her mind was flying high.

“Damn, that’s sweet, Ate Seulgi!” Yeri chimed at the gesture.

Seulgi was doing a little extra today since Joy and Wendy are with them. Irene is not really surprised at this because every time Seulgi would act out their fake relationship, it looks really sincere and real. Irene can’t help but commend Seulgi’s acting skills.

It was like Yeri is watching a scene from a typical Filipi
