Memories drinking couldn't erase
Parallel Lines (English Version)Chapter 5 | Memories drinking couldn't erase
“Seul! Ate Irene was looking for you! I bumped into her as I was going out.” Wendy told her cousin while walking toward the car.
Seulgi returned to her senses with what Wendy told her. “Thanks. I’ll go fetch Irene.” She quickly ran as fast as she could to the field where she left her fake girlfriend.
She had gone around countless times and asked everyone for Irene’s whereabouts but to no avail.
“Peek-a-boo!” Irene poked Seulgi’s sides in an attempt to tickle the younger lady.
“!” Seulgi almost dropped her phone in surprise.
“Looking for me?” Irene asked, with a smile on her face.
“I’ve been trying to contact you for the last thirty minutes. Where have you been?” Seulgi asked in an angry and annoyed tone.
“My phone’s out. I’m sorry, babe.” Irene held Seulgi’s hand and acted cutely.
“Why weren’t you replying? What if something happened to you?” Seulgi hugged Irene very tightly. She could only apologize in her thin whispers to Irene’s ear. With how her tone was, people around were taking it as a commotion. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have left you in the first place.”
“It’s alright. Let’s just go home, babe.” Irene intertwined her arm with her fake girlfriend’s after she got out of the bear hug. But when they were out in the almost empty parking lot, she was the first to initiate to unravel them apart.
Silence enveloped them together. Even if Seulgi wanted to apologize again, she doesn’t think Irene is in the mood for it. Instead, they walked together without saying a word in between.
When they reached the car, they saw Joy and Wendy sleeping in the backseat. Seulgi needs to clear her mind. One moment she is thinking about what Joy said, and another moment she is thinking about why she suddenly snapped when she cannot find Irene.
It was really fine for Irene if only she remembered where Seulgi parked her car. The thing is, with all the chapters she read today, it seemed like that detail slipped off her mind. Guys immediately swarmed over her after her fake girlfriend went missing. She had to hide in the restroom just so she can get away from everyone. But what was done is already done. She didn’t understand why Seulgi got so mad at her when she was the one who left her in the first place. Clearly, Joy is Seulgi’s top priority and her part of the deal isn’t.
Irene was tired and she didn’t want Seulgi to apologize over and over again so she leaned toward the window and pretended she was asleep.
When they arrived at the sisters’ house, Seulgi helped Irene bring Joy into her room.
After that, Irene led Seulgi out so she can lock their gate as well.
“Irene, I’m really sorry.” That was the only thing Seulgi could muster.
“It’s fine, Seulgi. Don’t worry about it.” Irene tried to smile but it just wasn’t comin
