Stay Away From Kim Heechul
Sing Me A SongYESUNG’S POV
Jongwoon put his bag into his locker, and pulled his math book out when he felt someone whack him upside the head.
Jongwoon cried out and dropped the heavy math book he had in hand.
He spun around to see a not-so-happy, pouting Ryeowook.
“Yah! Wook! What was that for?!” He snapped, rubbing at the sore spot on his head.
“For abandoning me yesterday!” RyeoWook huffed, crossing his arms angrily.
“Sorry.” Jongwoon grumbled quietly, bending down to pick up his fallen math book.
“Why were you gone?” Ryeowook asked curiously.
“I was uh….I um.…..I had a uh….something to do…..” Jongwoon stammered, unable to make up of a good excuse right on the spot as he averted his gaze down to the floor.
Ryeowook stared at the elder suspiciously, before suddenly grabbing Jongwoon’s left arm, causing the other to cry out in surprise and drop his heavy math book again, and jerked the elder’s dark sleeve up.
Ryeowook had actually expected to see what he saw next, but it was still shocking.
He gasped when he saw three long, angry red gashes on his wrist.
“Jongwoon! How could you?! I told you so many times! This is no way to relieve stress!” Ryeowook squeaked, touching the cuts lightly.
Jongwoon wasn’t even listening though.
Instead, he was staring at the silver ring on Ryeowook’s hand.
Jongwoon grabbed RyeoWook’s hand, and brought it up to his face.
“What is this you’re wearing?!” Jongwoon snapped suddenly.
“A-A ring.” Ryeowook stuttered, frightened by Jongwoon’s rage.
“I know it’s a ring! But why does it say ‘Tuxes’?!”
“I-I……..Heechul g-gave it t-to me…..” Ryeowook whimpered, the grasp around his wrist was painfully tight.
Jongwoon threw Ryeowook’s hand down, and pulled the younger close.
“Stay away from Kim Heechul and his gang, Ryeowook! Do you hear me?!” Jongwoon asked.
“Wh-Why? Heechul’s really nice though.” Ryeowook said quietly.
“I don’t care. Heechul and his gang have a horrible reputation, and I don’t want you getting involved.” Jongwoon whispered quietly, gently the younger’s hair, genuinely concerned about the boy in his arms.
Ryeowook abruptly pulled away from the elder, glaring at him.
“You can’t tell me what to do, Kim Jongwoon!” Ryeowook snapped.
“No, Listen to me Ryeowook! You can’t-“
“Shut up!” Ryeowook screamed. “I’m sick of everyone telling me what to do!” he yelled, putting his hands over his ears, trying to drown out whatever Jongwoon had to say.
Only when Jongwoon stared down at the younger with disappointment did Ryeowook noticed he had just yelled at his only friend. A friend that has always stayed by his side when he needed him, and always and only meant well for the younger.
“Jongwoon, I-“
“You’re on your own.” Jongwoon muttered, interrupting Ryeowook as he bent back down to pick up his math book, and slammed his locker shut before walking off.
Ryeowook sighed quietly to himself.
He didn’t mean to yell at Jongwoon so loudly.
He’ll talk to him after school.
If he’s there to even listen.
