2 MONTHS LATER
It’s been two months since Jongwoon had made his promise, and kept it.
The bullying was less frequent now, knowing that Jongwoon would probably beat the out of someone if they made him mad.
Ryeowook sighed as he pulled his math book out of his locker.
Today, Jongwoon wasn’t here, which made the younger mad and lonely.
Ryeowook was about to close his locker when he felt a hand on his shoulder suddenly jerk him back harshly, throwing Ryeowook onto the ground.
Ryeowook let out a cry of pain and surprise as he hit the floor.
“Don’t have the little turtle covering your back now today, do you?” A voice sneered.
Ryeowook slowly, painfully, sat himself up on his elbows to see a sneering Yunho crouched next to him.
“JongWoon’s not a turtle!” Ryeowook said defensively.
Yunho pulled his hand back and slapped Ryeowook across the face hard.
“You’re a rude bastard!” Ryeowook yelled, clutching at his stinging cheek.
Yunho snarled angrily and brought his hand back again, but was stopped by a voice.
“Stop. Leave him alone.”
Yunho looked up from the small boy before him, and his expression changed from anger, to something like frightened.
“H-Heechul.” Yunho stuttered, smiling nervously as he straightened back up.
“You shouldn’t be picking on people like that, Jung Yunho.” A smooth voice purred.
Ryeowook looked up to see a rather feminine looking male, with shoulder length, dark brown hair, and cat like eyes leaning casually against some lockers. The man, so called Heechul, gave off a somewhat arrogant but lazy feel. But his face read ‘Do not piss off.’
Ryeowook swallowed nervously as he tried to get up, but collapsed back down again when sudden pain shot up his right arm.
Yunho must’ve somehow dislocated his shoulder when he jerked him backwards.
Ryeowook felt strong arms help him up, and Ryeowook looked up to see a foreigner, probably Chinese, with extremely flawless skin, sharp but elegant facial features, and dark auburn hair that covered half of his face.
He smiled softly at the younger as he helped him up, and Ryeowook didn’t notice how tall the foreigner was until he straightened up.
“I-I wasn’t picking on him. I-I was j-just uh…..giving Ryeowook a friendly greeting. R-Right Ryeowook?” Yunho stuttered helplessly.
Ryeowook just took a step back nervously, the foreigner helping him stand up properly.
Heechul just shook his head and tsked at Yunho.
“Shame…Shame….lying to me means lying to yourself, Jung Yunho.” Heechul purred, stepping forward and suddenly grabbed Yunho by the jaw, snapping his head back in a painful position, digging his perfectly manicures nails into the others neck.
Yunho let out a frightened whimper.
“I-I’m sorry Heechul.” He said, trembling slightly.
“Don’t say sorry to me. Say sorry to the poor boy you slapped!” Heechul snarled, jerking Yunho forward and threw him down by Ryeowook’s feet.
Ryeowook let out a frightened squeak and tried to take a step back, only to be stopped by the tall foreigner.
“I-I’m sorry, RyeoWook.” Yunho stuttered, staring up at Ryeowook with begging eyes.
Ryeowook looked up at Heechul nervously, unsure of what to do.
Heechul smirked and motioned with his neck to two guys who were next to the foreigner. Ryeowook recognized the two as Kibum and Siwon.
The two boys walked up to Yunho, and each linked an arm through Yunho’s, dragging him off somewhere as Yunho begged to be let go, not wanting the consequences he was about to get next.
“ah, now, what’s your name, boy?” Heechul asked lightly.
Ryeowook snapped his attention back to the feminine male who was studying Ryeowook intently.
“R-Ryeowook. Kim Ryeowook.” The younger stammered.
Heechul nodded and smiled. “Be careful, Kim RyeoWook. This is a cruel world we live in.”
He said softly, before turning and motioned for the foreigner to follow, and the both of them left the large hall, with everyone staring at Ryeowook silently.
AFTER SCHOOL
Ryeowook slammed his locker shut, still a little shaken up by what happened earlier this morning.
“Kim Ryeowook.” A voice interrupted his thought, and he spun around to see the tall chineseman,
“Heechul told me to give you this, and think about it.” The man said with a heavy accent as he handed Ryeowook an envelope.
“Th-Think about what?” Ryeowook asked, looking up from the envelope to the chineseman.
“Read it. Heechul would like to know your answer within a week from today.” The tall male responded before turning and leaving.
Ryeowook sighed quietly and carefully tore the envelope open, and found a letter and a…….diamond ring? In the envelope.
He pulled out the ring.
The ring was made of a silver band, studded with a single diamond.
To the left of the diamond ‘Tuxes’ was engraved in black.
On the inside of the silver band, where it touched your finger, ‘Kim Ryeowook’ was carved in it.
Odd. Why would Heechul give him this?
He slowly pulled the letter out, and read it.
To Kim RyeoWook,
I bet you are now wondering what ‘Tuxes’ is. ‘Tuxes’ is my group of wealthy friends. I will not go into details for it’s a bit too complicated to explain in writing, but I will promise you this: If you join ‘Tuxes’, you will no longer be harassed in anyway.
Please think about this offer carefully, and tell me your decision within one week from today.
Keep the ring on for the week, and no one will lay a single finger on you, or say another rude or criticizing word towards you.
Sincerely, Kim Heechul
Kim Heechul is the leader of ‘Tuxes’?!
Ryeowook has heard a lot about ‘Tuxes’. They were known to be the people that shows no mercy. Many people feared them, already experienced or witnessed there fights or threats before.
Ryeowook sighed and tucked the letter away, before looking down at the ring in hand.
Could wearing this really prevent all of this that Ryeowook hates so much?
The younger decided to try it out.
He gently slid the ring onto his middle finger, before swinging his backpack onto his shoulder, and walked home.
Wait until Jongwoon hears about this
