you opened the car door and instantly, the cold breeze of the wind hits you right on the face, making you shudder. your boyfriend daeyeol laughs at your cute expression before waving goodbye. ‬

it was a weekend night and daeyeol took you out on an impromptu movie date. it was last minute, but you love surprises, especially from him. 

‪“hurry up inside! don’t get cold,” daeyeol says before you shut the door. ‬but before you could take another step further away from the car, you could hear the sound of the car window rolling down. 

“you forgot something,” daeyeol says and gestures you to come back.

“huh? what did I forget?” you asked as you popped your head inside the car through the window to look for something that belongs to you. you always forgot that you left things on his car before entering your house and sometimes he would take a detour to give it back to you. but today, you were sure you have everything inside your bag. 

daeyeol snickered before suddenly giving you a kiss on the cheek. 

“this,” he says, “love you.”

it was a cold night but one simple sweet surprise from daeyeol was all it takes to warm your night away.
