Coffee and Cigarettes and Everything in Between
WINTER
"Hi I'm Giselle."
"Uhm do I know you?"
"No you don't that's why I'm introducing myself silly. I'm Giselle."
"Oh okay. I'm Karina."
I can't believe it Giselle just talked to her and base on what I'm hearing from their conversation she's doing just fine. Suddenly I'm not in the mood to eat anymore. Still on my seat and my back turned against them I was about to text Gi when she suddenly talked again and called me.
"Karina, this is my friend Winter." Was Giselle's opening line for me but I can't seem to turn around and face them. I sat there frozen on the bench. Eyes glued on the table. Then Giselle tapped my shoulder and pulled me out of my reverie. She must have noticed that I was spacing out again.
"Uhm what?" Were the only words to come out of my mouth as I mustered any courage I have left within me and turned around to face them.
And there she was sitting in front of me. Her jet black hair but it's casually laid back not the one I'm used to seeing because she usually has her hair on a ponytail. She's wearing a simple grey sweatshirt and jeans. On her right hand is an almost half finished cigarette dangling between her fingers. So she smokes. I didn't expect that. She wasn't the type to, I mean when you look at her you wouldn't have guessed that she smokes. Her lips were plump and rosy, maybe she doesn't smoke that often. And there it is her beauty mark just below her lips. It's still visible even though it's night time. She's beautiful indeed.
"Karina this is Winter, my bestfriend." Giselle said again as she pinched my arm to bring me back to my senses. I had to bite my tongue so just I wouldn't make any noise because her goddamn pinch hurt.
"Oh hi. Karina." She said as she stretched her left hand for a handshake. Her hand is small for her size though. She's taller than me of course but I didn't expect her hand to be this tiny and her fingers are cute sized too. She's full of surprises. But her hand was so soft and I got a bit conscious since my hand isn't the softest due to the hours of painting so I immediately draw back my hand
