The moment the clock strikes five, I tidy my desk up, grab my things and walk out the door of the firm. The moment I step outside, a dashing man with a pretty smile greeted me with roses in his hand.

Today is the double date day. Gladly, Karina was up to the idea when Winter talked to her about it. We decided to just meet up at the diner downtown. It isn't really the double date I had in mind but we had to consider each other's schedules and choose the best time where we are all free.

"How was work?" He asked me as he opened the door for me.

"A ton of paperwork today and a scheduled case next week so I'll be very busy these coming days."

"So no weekend dates then?" Disappointment evident in his voice.

"Sadly no. But I'll make it up to you next time."

"You could make it up to me now..." He says as he insert the key to the ignition.

"Huh? What?" I ask confused, not really getting what he's talking about.

He adjusted his seatbelt first before turning to face me. Pouting his lips he then tap it lightly with his point finger.

Kisses. He's such a baby sometimes.

Leaning in, I close the gap between us and I certainly didn't miss the way he smiles through our kisses. Adorable, I thought.

"Happy?" I asked him as I return back to my seat.

He gave me his lopsided grin, his eyes twinkling. "Very."

Oh God why does he have to be so gorgeous, adorable, cute, and handsome all at the same time? Now I'm thinking I'm God's favorite.

Before he can start the engine, I unclasped my seatbelt, pulled his face again and kissed him. 

Giving him one last peck on the lips, I smiled at him and said, "That's for being extra cute today."

An even bigger smile grazed his lips. "I might buy more of this shirt I'm wearing today just so I can wear the same one for a week if extra kisses are what I'm gonna get every single time." Such a dork. Dorky and cute. Dorky and handsome. Dorky and funny. Yes Giselle, you are God's favorite was all that I can think of.

"Will your bestfriend be mad at us if we ditch our date today?"

"Why is something wrong? Did something came up?" 

His lips curve up into a smile again. "Nothing, I just want to have you all to myself today."

He's so cute with that boyish smile. For a minute I'm tempted to say yes but I don't wanna be on the receiving end of Winter's wrath. Plus given that I'm the one that proposed the idea of a double date, I'm pretty sure she'd be mad as hell at me. James can wait for another day.

Before I can reply to him, my phone lights up and the notification sound fills the car.

Where are you?

"They're already on their way, sorry boo maybe next time?" I said to him as I gave him a wink.

"Okay I get it."

And the next second, the car came to life and we are on our way to meet Winter and Karina.

"Where are they seated again? James asks as he opened the door of the diner for me. 

"Why are you asking me?"

"Didn't she tell you where they are sitting?" Oh yeah, I forgot. I gave him a smile before checking my phone for Winter's last message.

I read Winter's last text. "On the left side at the far back, beside the window."

Looking around, James holds my hand and lead me to where Winter and Karina is probably sitting. I tugged at his arm when I finally saw them.

I pointed at the table. "Over there" 

"Sorry we're late." I say more to Karina than to Winter.

Saying that Karina is beautiful is an understatement. The word wouldn't just suffice her beauty. But what more can I say except that she's beautiful? She's wearing a casual black dress filled with different colored tiny flowers, the one you'd casually wear to a picnic or something like that. Her collarbones are showing too, accentuated by the straps of her dress. I've seen her before and I see her at least four times a week on the café but seeing her in casual clothes with her hair down? Now I know why Winter is so whipped.

Karina smiles. "It's okay Giselle."

"Oh this is my boyfriend by the way. You can call him James." I say as I pulled him beside me.
