When Wendy woke up the next day, she found herself waking up in her best friend’s arms, in a car. She looked around after rubbing her eyes with her fists and saw her members talking loudly in the van. 

“Where are we going?,” Wendy asked in a puzzled look and messy hair. 

Seulgi brushed the child’s hair with her hands and made her to sit down on her lap properly. 

“We read online and found that maybe an evil spirit has taken a toll on us. We’ll buy some stuff and put it in our house to get you back,” Joy explained. 

Wendy sighed and looked outside the window. For some reason, she couldn’t wrap her finger around the fact that this was the doing of an evil spirit. Still, it didn’t hurt to try at all. 

After they reached the mall, Wendy looked around in awe and saw how large everything seemed. She felt like she was shrunken down as a dwarf in a snow white movie. 

“Hold your mommy’s hand and don’t get lost,” Yeri said while entering the huge gate of the city mall. 

Wendy rolled her eyes and stuck out her tongue due to the teasing and but anyways held onto the leader’s hand. Her friends were dressed in caps and long turtlenecks and large jackets with sunglasses so no one will recognise them in the mall. Luckily, there wasn’t a large crowd present here today as it was still morning time. 

“Let’s get started! Seulgi unnie and I will go to that side and you three check that side out,” Yeri stated. 

“Fighting!,” Joy said, raising her arm in the air, cheering everyone up. 

After they parted ways, Wendy tiredly tugged on the leader’s hand, grabbing some attention. She was still tired from yesterday’s eventful and tiring day and wanted to rest some more. 

“Unnie my legs ache,” Wendy said softly, frowning while jerking and shaking her feet on the ground. 

“Aigoo.. okay okay,” Irene eye smiled and kneeled down, Joy helping the kid to get on the leader’s back. 

Wendy muttered a satisfied thank you, wrapping her small hands around the older woman’s neck while looking around gleefully. Everything looked great from  that height and she could see every shop properly. 

“What are we looking for?,” Wendy asked curiously, wanting to help too. 

“We’re looking for some scented candles, peacock feathers, some black and white sand and a huge crystal,” Joy stated. 

“Um.. w-why?,” Wendy questioned, finding the stuff very threatening. Was she getting herself into an exorcism?

“Trust us unnie, this will work. It has to otherwise we’re dead tomorrow. We have to go in SM remember?,” Joy said, ruffling the kid’s set hair with her large hands easily. 

Wendy sighed and kept looking around, trying to be helpful. She pointed out to a candle store into which they immediately went. 

“What scent would you prefer?,” Irene asked, picking a few from the shelf. They all looked quite expensive and very decorative and pretty. 

“Lavender?,” Wendy suggested. 

The leader nodded and they continued to buy a few of different scents before making their way out of the shop. 

“I’ll text them that we got candles,” Joy said and took out her phone, texting on their group chat right away.

“They found the peacock feather so let’s move on,” Joy stated. 

By this time, the mall had become a little crowded. Wendy who was feeling better now told the leader to put her down, walking while holding Joy’s index finger now. 

She kept walking into her members footsteps, getting occupied with her deep thoughts. 

What if it doesn’t work?

What if I don’t turn back till tomorrow?

We have a recording tomorrow… 

Should I really look for a school for myself then?

Agh! I don’t want to study A for apple, B for ball again! I don’t want to play see-saw with kids!

Wendy sighed and looked up, getting startled when she saw that her members were nowhere in sight. She looked around in panic, seeing tall figures walking around her in the busy mall. 

Good job! Now you’re lost!

Wendy said to herself, groaning in annoyance and getting on the side, standing beside the escalator. 

Wendy sat down on the ground with a huff, looking at the people who passed by in front of her, some looking at her, some don’t. However, when a particular man stopped in front of her, hovering above her before kneeling down, she stood up. 

“Hello,” Chanyeol grinned and picked the kid up in his arms. 

“Put me down,” Wendy tried to kick off but it only resulted in the man holding her tighter in his embrace. 

“I’ll take you to the lost and found centre alright?,” Chanyeol said with a small smile, getting on the escalator. 

Wendy frowned, not knowing if this will be okay to go somewhere with this stranger. Well, she did recognise him; he was the person who bought the genie Aladdin lamp from the freaky ancient shop. 

“T-The office is that way,” Wendy pointed towards the other direction where the lost and found counter was after seeing that the man was mindlessly climbing escalators. 

“I know the way kid,” Chanyeol said, the smile on his face disappearing soon. 

Wendy panicked, looking around and realising that they were on the fourth floor of the mall with very less people. She tried to fight against the grip around her, trying to get away from the man who was clearly kidnapping her. 

“L-Let go!,” Wendy struggled, feeling her lips quivering. 

“You’re an interesting child, I thought about you a lot and you are Wendy aren’t you? That’s the only explanation possible from the time you wished to be 27 again at my place. And I saw one of your childhood picture which a fan posted on Instagram, and guess what? You are exactly that child.. from 23 years ago,” Chanyeol stated. He smirked after seeing the look of disbelief on the child’s face and continued to climb on another escalator. 

Wendy gulped, looking sideways after endless struggles. When she spotted Seulgi and Yeri on the floor below them, she started moving her little arms and legs even more. 

“S-Seulgi!!,” Wendy shouted, her lips quivering as tears pooled in her eyes. 

Damn it my baby hormones!

Wendy cursed internally, shouting louder. 

Thankfully, Seulgi and Yeri looked around with panicky eyes and froze when they saw their kid member in the clutc
