Pick Your Poison Writing Contest (CANCELED)

  1. Subscribe and stay subscribed to enter

  2. Fill out the Interest Form to receive your prompt - password is Seyong

  3. Fill out the Entry Form to enter your story - sooner is better than later!

  4. Use the prompt you're given (but you don't have to use the genders or the prompt word for word, just use the idea of the prompt and make it your own!)

  5. Do not have to use the cheat sheet though it is highly recommended. May use OC stories but they're not preferred.

  6. May enter stories that have been already completed, even if they won contests here on AFF, as long as they follow the prompt.

  7. , Yuri, Hetero, and no pairings are all accepted

  8. Credit the contest in your story foreword

  9. No plagiarism

  10. No bashing anyone: other competitors, the judge, or yourself

  11. Complete the story by the deadline (extended to May 15th, 2022)

  12. May enter an unlimited amount of times, and win an unlimited amount of times. So yes one person could enter three times and win the top three prizes.

  13. I have the right to add rules here as I think of them

  14. Be patient with the Contest Administrator as she is a full time student and employee IRL. If you have concerns you're more than welcome to leave a comment, PM, or even contact over Line.

Chapter 33: Oh no! I’m so sorry you’re having to go though that! That’s just terrible, especially with the long term effects from covid making it very difficult for you. Focusing on your health is very important, I’m sure that no one would mind you needing you to cancel for that reason. I hope you would be able to recover and get back to reading and writing again someday!

Chapter 3: hi! i hope you are doing better! i just wanna say thank you for hosting this contest and coming up with prompts for my interest form. i managed to come up with something and i'm sure it's gonna help me a lot in writing angst romance~
i suppose i won't manage to finish it before the deadline though (it's probably going to be a short oneshot but still i plan to finish another overdue contest-entried fic before getting to this one lol) but since i took the prompts from this contest and they are pretty much the thing that inspired this fic i shall leave an entry form here:

Story Description: Joohyun can do everything she can do for her love. Everything. (sorry it's short af because that's all i can come up with right now *cries)
Story Status (complete, ongoing, new): new

the prompts i used (i took a little bit of both but plot does not follow any prompt word for word):
1: Main Character's love is taken by darkness (this can be interpreted however you want/are comfortable with - addiction, loss and grief, magical, whatever you want) and Main Character has to fight to get them back, through whatever means necessary without losing themselves too.
2: When the Main Character loses the one they love forever - end this either in hopelessness and grief or in an upward trajectory as in they have found a new chance at love.
