His monitor that suddenly becomes brighter forces Seunghyun to look up from his book, disrupting him from his deep reading. 

Krystal

Seunghyun purses his lips together, unsure whether to response or just let the message be. His long fingers tap on the hard book cover several times as he glances over to the calendar beside his monitor. 

Date with Krystal 730 pm 

He draws in a breath, doesn’t even bother to mark which page he stops reading —you know, having excellent memory and what not— as he closes the book and places it aside. His fingers then dance on the keyboard. 

It might be a good thing to not ignore Krystal anymore. One less question to find an answer to, at least, if Krystal actually asks about this during their date tomorrow.

It isn’t long before chat balloon on Krystal’s side pop up. 

Seunghyun exhales. The presentation Krystal mentioned is not only done a few days ago, but he already ran through it with Manager Yang, who gave him thumbs up and a satisfied grin, but Krystal doesn’t know that.

He changes the subject. 

Of course. 

Though there’s a rule in their company, stating that any employee must not have any other side jobs, Krystal, who is really not into her 9-5 career anyway, actually has one, a gaming channel on Youtube. Krystal’s channel is relatively big, with 500k plus subscribers, usually gaining an average of more than 60-70k view counts for every video. 

Seunghyun knows about this, because, one, Krystal is kind enough to be honest with him. Two, well, he’s actually one of Krystal’s loyal viewers. Krystal’s channel is actually one of the reasons why he’s still watching Youtube in the first place these few years. She’s fun, she’s funny, and her videos have become one of his guilty pleasure.

And although lying —or in this case, becoming an accomplice in lying— is not something that defines Seunghyun, but because Krystal is always an angel to him, always helping, always humouring him —both on and off screen— he decided that this doesn’t count as ‘lying’, more like ‘keeping a secret’.

“Loopholes are our best friends.”

Seunghyun smirks remembering that sentence. Even if this really is wrong, he doesn’t think that Father would sentence him with a bigger punishment than he’s already currently facing right now.
