Taeyeon glanced at her watch, it’s almost midnight and Jessica is nowhere to be found. She asked Jessica’s secretary and she said Jessica is having overtime today. When Taeyeon arrived at Jessica’s office, the security informed her that Jessica left the building for two hours.

“Where are you, Jessica…” Taeyeon whispered and tapped the screen on her phone. Her message is undelivered; the latter is turning her phone off. Taeyeon also called Hyoyeon to check upon Kim’s main house, and she said Jessica wasn’t there at the moment

Taeyeon drives slowly, surrounding the area of Jessica’s office. After a while, she saw someone is sitting at the bus stop. When Taeyeon examined carefully, she realized that is Jessica

“Jessica!” Taeyeon parked her car in front of the bus stop and ran into her wife, “What are you doing?”

Jessica looked up to meet Taeyeon’s worry eyes. She smiled meekly, but Taeyeon knows better

“Were you looking for me?” Jessica asked when Taeyeon plopped herself beside her

“Yes. The security on your office said you left two hours ago but you didn’t take your car,” Taeyeon reached Jessica’s hand, “You are freezing.”

“I didn’t realize that I’ve been there too long,” said Jessica

“Do you want to talk about that?” Taeyeon intertwined their hands and caressed with her thumb. She’s happy because Jessica seems comfortable enough on her hold

“Let’s talk at home, shall we?” Jessica smiled again; but her eyes can’t lie.

“Yes. Let me drive you tonight and tomorrow,” said Taeyeon

“Okay.”

Taeyeon felt relieved. Even if Jessica just ignored her all the way back home, the latter didn’t refuse when she reached for her hand. And lucky enough, both Krystal and Jaehyun already asleep so no one would tease them

“We will talk on your room,” Taeyeon released her hold in front of Jessica’s room, “Let me change my clothes first.”

Jessica nodded upon Taeyeon’s words. Truthfully, her mind still blank and she’s so tired of this condition

Taeyeon only needs 20 minutes to change and freshen herself before knocking Jessica’s door. After a soft come in, Taeyeon entered Jessica’s room. The latter still applied some creams on her face; must be her night routine

Taeyeon takes a seat on Jessica’s bed while waiting for her. It’s her first time to get a chance to examines Jessica’s room. The room is spacious; Jessica is neat, different with her.

When Jessica joined her on the bed, she doesn’t talk immediately. Instead, she leaned her head onto Taeyeon’s shoulder and sighed heavily

“What’s wrong?” Taeyeon asked. Her hand blindly looking for Jessica’s. When she found it, she holds it tightly

“Taeyeon, why are you always looking for my hand and holding it?”

“Because that’s the time when I feel that you are real,” Taeyeon answered and lowered her head. She could feel Jessica is staring at their hands blankly, “Jessica, what happened?”

“I met Jihyo Unnie this afternoon,” finally Jessica spoke, “We talked a lot about their board directors meeting.”

“Okay…”

“Thanks to Yoona and Hyoyeon, we found the proof about the bribery.”

“Good one.”

“But…” Jessica sighed again, “Taeyeon…”

“Yes?”

“If I… If I want to be the next CEO, I need to…” Jessica stops her words and looked up, “I need to be apart from you.”

Taeyeon suppressed her lips. She knows now why Jessica looks so bothered since they met this night. But Taeyeon realized, take over Blanc & Eclare is Jessica’s goal. And Taeyeon promised to herself, to help Jessica achieve it

“If it’s for the best,” Taeyeon smiled and cupped Jessica’s hand with both of hers, “I will do it.”

Jessica only nodded meekly and leaned closer. She buried her face into Taeyeon’s chest, trying to calmed herself
