Kim Suyeon put her phone on her desk. One of her bodyguards called her and informed that Taeyeon was fainted and brought to ICU. The most exciting thing is, Jessica is already there with Taeyeon, and Suyeon couldn’t surprise more than this

“So, you are paying concern to my step-daughter, huh?” Suyeon whispered to no one

Jessica prepared herself to sleep. Krystal bought some clothes and her stuff for the next three days. Jessica called her secretary to take three days off because she needs accompanying Taeyeon to the hospital. Truthfully, Jessica also questioned herself, why did she go this far? But listening to Dr. Jeon’s words yesterday, she realized that Taeyeon might be suffered and she needs to know about the progress

She also needs to know that Taeyeon really loves her; as the latter blurted it before

“Jessica…”

Jessica bent her head aside to see Taeyeon’s eyes. She looks like holding pain while trying to extend her hand

“What’s wrong, Taeyeon?”

“It’s hurt,” Taeyeon shut her eyes painfully, “Hurts…”

Jessica moves her body beside Taeyeon’s bed. She took Taeyeon’s hand slowly and intertwined them. Jessica carefully caressed Taeyeon’s back of palm with her thumb to make the older girl calm. Finally, Taeyeon drifts to her sleep while Jessica still holding her hand

Jessica tried to ease Taeyeon’s frown on her eyebrows with her thumb. She examines Taeyeon’s face, who turned to calm after Jessica touched her

“Have a good sleep, Taeyeon,” Jessica whispered. She lets Taeyeon holds her hand, afraid if she let off her hand Taeyeon will live in pain again

“What a good sight,” suddenly someone interrupted them. Jessica turned her head and found her mother in law is smirking at her

“I thought the visiting time is closed,” Jessica muttered, but her hand still intertwined with Taeyeon

“You know me,” Suyeon flipped her hair and dragged a chair, “Are you here because you love my step-daughter? How ironic.”

Jessica remains mute; she doesn’t know the reason, though. She’s only staying because she concerned about Taeyeon’s health being

“See, you can’t answer me. Like the usual,” Suyeon chuckled, “But you need to know. If you are really falling in love with her, that will ease me.”

“What do you want, actually? You arranged the marriage to mess up with Blanc & Eclare, and now you chained me.”

“You know the reason,” Suyeon smirked, “You know that your brother sold the company because he’s in debt. And the reason why I need the arranged marriage because I won’t let Taeyeon go from this family after her Dad’s death.”

“You chained us,” Jessica hissed

“Exactly,” Suyeon clasped her hands, “That was my hope, and I think I don’t need to push you guys because you came to me.”

“I will cut this all.”

“Wow, is that your dream? I thought your dream is to disappear from this cruel world.”

Jessica sighed heavily. She knows her mother in law will remember her words when she asked her about her dream, as soon as she realized that her old brother is in debt to Kim Holding

“Jessica Jung. No matter you try hard for this, I will get you back to my cage.”

Taeyeon actually half-asleep when her step-mother came last night. She listened to the whole conversation and realized that Jessica seems confused about herself. As she knows, Jessica always being frank when answered about Taeyeon’s matters, but last night, she sounded hesitant

Could Taeyeon hope that Jessica might have a feeling for her?

“Good morning,” Jessica says with her tiny smile. Taeyeon just finished her bath with the nurse and the morning examination. Jessica excused herself from taking a call in the meantime

“Are you staying?” Taeyeon asked

“I called Seohyun to give me three days off. Tiffany could handle the company matter, don’t worry.”

“I’m not worried about the company. I worried about you.”

“You don’t need to,” Jessica takes a seat beside Taeyeon’s bed, “You need to focus on your health. How’s today?”

“I can sit,” said Taeyeon and slowly moves herself to sit straightly

“Good sign,” Jessica smiled, “I’ll work for a while; call me if you need anything,” Jessica pointed the couch across her. She already put her laptop and other stuff for work. Taeyeon nods to let Jessica left her side

Jessica stretched her neck; it’s been four hours since she’s working in front of her laptop. Time indeed goes fast. Someone knocked on the door and opened it. The nurse with the trolley strides inside

“Excuse me, Mrs. Jung. This is the lunch for Mrs. Kim.”

“Thank you. Please put it over there,” Jessica pointed to the small table beside Taeyeon’s bed, “She’s still asleep.”

“Yes, Mrs. Jung.”

Jessica examined the delivered meal for Taeyeon. Bone marrow soup with some side dishes, Taeyeon would like it.

“Taeyeon,” Jessica shook Taeyeon’s body lightly, “It’s time for lunch.”

Taeyeon opened her eyes to meet Jessica’s smile to her.

“Have you eaten?” Taeyeon asked back

“Not yet.”

“You need to eat.”

“That’s fine.”

“I won’t eat if you skipped your meal,” Taeyeon closed her eyes in protest

“Taeyeon.”

“Hm.”

“Okay, okay,” Jessica sighed loudly. She has no idea why Taeyeon behaves like a child right now. Jessica came outside to the cafeteria and purchased a meal. She usually eats when she wants it.
