Coffee run
Needle to the heartThe store clerks of Itaewon watched fondly as a certain bobbed blonde was practically skipping down the street whistling to a happy tune.
“Afternoon Mr Choi!” the blonde waved enthusiastically at the man who was sat behind the street food cart. The blonde strolled further until she approached a tanned two tiered building that has fake bushes and a white picket fence in front of the shops door which read ‘Your Daily Fix’. As soon as Seungwan entered the strong smell of grinded coffee beans hit her, the café was equally as chic on the inside as it was on the outside; Sooyoung took pride in the fact her shop was instagrammable and that many influencers visited daily due to the quality of her shop and coffee.
However Seungwan wasn’t just here for the coffee, she was here for the cute-as-a-button barista who had her denim apron on and was staring intensely at the cash register. Despite knowing the owner and being a regular, the blonde pulled her bucket hat down slightly and waited in line scrolling through her Instagram page and the many likes, comments and DMs she had.
Once reaching the counter the blonde finally managed to look up with a Cheshire grin to her girlfriend who was taken aback; it’s not like she wasn’t happy to see Seungwan, it’s just the girl never came to the shop because she was always booked and Sooyoung would take them free drinks 24/7.
“Hello pretty lady”
“Are you even allowed to compliment customers like that? Miss I appreciate the gesture but I’d like to speak to the manager for your behaviour” the blonde jokingly gasped as she put on her best ‘karen’ impression to which the other eye rolled.
“The usual babe?”
“You know me so well Hyun. Yes the usual and some of your time on the side” Seungwan winked.
“My break is in 10 minutes, can you wait?” Seungwan nodded eagerly thankful her next appointment wasn’t for another hour. Just as she headed to the waiting area to pick up her drink she was stopped by another voice.
“Yah Son Seungwan I told Seul that I’m not giving you more free drinks now hurry up and pay” Sooyoung said sternly as she exited the kitchen with a tray of freshly baked croissants.
“Oh come on Yong, Hyun said its on the house”
“No I didn’t, wow Wannie really throwing your girlfriend under the bus?” the friends were lucky the shop wasn’t busy or their banter wouldn’t have been appreciated by onlookers. Feeling embarrassed under her girlfriend and best friend’s stare, Seungwan dove into her wallet pulled out a 100 dollar bill and placed it on the counter.
“Keep the change Hyun but don’t let your evil boss steal your tips” Seungwan poked her tongue out to the tall girl with freshly chopped bangs. Seungwan muttered about how she didn’t even get a ‘friends discount’ as she waited for her drink at one of the tables. Seungwan watched fondly as she saw her beaut
