The very first trimester of Jennie and Lisa's break up was a mess. Chaeyoung witnessed how Lisa literally breaks herself on a daily basis. The theater actress went on a clubbing spree for a month when she was in Thailand, luck was with her because she was never involved in a possible career ending scandals or just anything that could harm her.

Chaeyoung begged her parents to ship her brother to Barcelona to oversee the operations there while she's in Thailand, in no way hell she'll leave the country when her bestfriend is at the brink of breaking. Her parents understood, much to her brother's delight (because he always wanted to go to Barcelona anyway), and told her to take all the time she needed. After all, they treat Lisa like their daughter, as part of their family.
 

Drunk or sober, all Lisa did was cry. She cried in agony, in regret, in pain and in anger. One drunk night, Lisa tearfully confessed everything to the sighing Chaeyoung.

Losing the person she had never thought of losing, not even one bit, was agonizing. 

She regretted everything, she regretted lying, she regretted hiding things from Jennie that ultimately broke them and with all the regrets that haunted her every single day, all Lisa could do was cry and get drunk — hoping that the alcohol could wash them all away.

Waking up to an empty bed, to no more sappy casual texts from Jennie, and to the reality that Jennie is no longer hers was downright painful.

And then, her anger and hatred towards herself continued to rise a bar higher every single day. She resents herself every single passing second and you know what did all these emotions led her? Maybe you guessed it right, Lisa almost took her life by literally overdosing herself with sleeping pills she always carry around with her (it's one of her jetlag coping mechanisms). 

If it wasn't because of Chaeyoung, that had enough of seeing Lisa ruining herself, barging in her room only to scream in horror at the sight of an open glass container with several pills coming out and an unconscious body of Lisa — Lisa could've been done and over.
 

Lisa woke up after being unconscious for a week in the hospital bed only to be the receiving end a hard slap from her crying bestfriend. With a hot burning sensation on her right cheek, Lisa hugged Chaeyoung all while apologizing. That became her wake up call. Seeing the fear in Chaeyoung's tear-filled eyes, not even an ounce of anger or disappointment or pity, Lisa knew she needs to get back up and go forward because there are people that are waiting for her at the other side of the dark.. very very dark tunnel. Though she knows she's going to keep picking up the pieces of her broken heart, it's better than ending it all. 

So when she was discharged, she started going forward and since then.. she had never looked back.



 

On the other hand, Jennie was not coping any better. The young doctor never stepped her foot in the hospital for almost 2 months. She asked for an indefinite leave, though it was very inappropriate to do it when you're still a newly hired doctor, she had no choice but to do so considering how the break up affected her focus, her decision making and her life in general.

She was fine at first, probably a good week but the moment Lisa's lawyer came knocking at the door and apologetically handed her the legal papers that she will now be the sole owner of the place, that was when she lost it. The reality finally hit her, that Jennie lost Lisa and Lisa is no longer hers.
 

Unfortunately and pathetically enough, Jennie could not get out of the house yet alone sell it.  Despite the harsh fact that she sees Lisa everywhere in the house, she could not dare to have a realtor to take care of it. The house has so much memories and it would break her even more if the only thing that somehow holds her together would be gone. Memories of and with Lisa are the only thing that reminds her of her.

Jennie locked herself in their house. Yes, their house. Her mom would seldom visit to check on her and all she saw every single time was her broken daughter who's either sleeping (with a dried trail of tears from all the crying last night) or staring so far ahead, lost and devastated. Her mom once called Lisa's mother to check on the latter but the concerned mothers could only sigh because none of their children were doing better. At least Jennie was just locking herself up meanwhile Lisa was doing the opposite. It broke their hearts seeing their daughters that way but they cannot do anything other than being there for them. Time heals... that's all they're hoping for.


 

One day, Jisoo flew back from Switzerland to pay Jennie a visit and when she saw the same Jennie that she had left for about two weeks ago (she stayed with Jennie for almost a month) — stuck in a dark house, Jisoo had enough. Jisoo forcefully opened all the curtains and literally dragged Jennie out of her bed towards the shower room. 

She was still not able to recover from the news that Chaeyoung dropped about a week ago referring to Lisa overdosing herself and seeing Jennie so down, so broken, so lost and so lifeless brought another wave of panic in her because what she saw was almost the identical symptoms what Lisa looked like before she left Thailand when she visited her about two weeks ago.
