SEUNGHEE.

"Hyun Seunghee! Come down here quickly! We'll be late so move faster!" Seunghee heard her mom calling from the kitchen. For the last time, she takes a quick look at her appearance from the mirror. This will do. She remembered when it was her first day in college and it took her almost an hour staring at herself on the mirror because she's a little anxious and excited about the idea of college itself. Seunghee brushed along her black hair as she smiled at herself, recalling how she had a pink hair before. Sometime before her second year in college, she dyed her hair back to black. She even had a hard time because her roots were damaged.

Today will be her last day in college, her graduation, alongside with Yubin. Mimi will be graduating in three weeks too. While Jiho on the other hand already graduated a week ago. The group decided to just do a single celebration for the four of them, they agreed to celebrate after Mimi's. 

When Seunghee walked out of her room, she saw her parents waiting for her by the doorway. Her mother is helping her father on wearing his watch. 

"Kid, you should clean your room soon. Okay? Your mom always complain about the pile of papers on your room." Her father told her as they walked out of their house. Seunghee nodded, grinning at her mom. 

"I told you I can clean it by myself moooom" She says with a little tone of sarcasm. Her mom just chuckled and pinched her cheek. "You're finally done studying but you're still our baby." Mr. Hyun patted Seunghee's head. The latter whining because her hair is getting messy.

"Seungheeeeeeee!!!" After the graduation ceremony of Seunghee's department, another department takes their turn. That next department was where Yubin belongs so Seunghee tol her parents that she'll stay at the venue with her friends and watch Yubin's. When she walked towards her friends that she hardly found because there were too many people at the venue, Yooa excitedly hugged her, after her was Mimi and the others after. They all congratulated her, Arin even gave her a letter which she was told to just read it later.

"Aww, thanks Arin! But why can't I read it now?" 

"Later unnie.. I'm shy." Seunghee chuckled and hid the letter on her pocket. She sat next to the girl and looked at Yubin sitting on the middle of the place for graduates.

For the first time in Seunghee's college life, she felt like her friends were more excited than she is. She sighed. Truthfully, she's a little nervous for today. Why? What's with today that she has to be this nervous? In reality, she should be excited but no, she actually doesn't know what to feel anymore. 

 One year ago. 

"So what do you like about me?" Seunghee asks, her hands cupping her face as she rests her elbows on the table. She wants to stare at Yubin while asking this for a more romantic scenario but it's easier said than done.

"Huh?" Yubin stopped writing and looked at her. Seunghee definitely felt her heart beating faster when Yubin raised her head ever so beautifully revealing her pretty face that made Seunghee so whipped for her even more.

"Last night! You said you like me!" Seunghee has been thinking about it since last night and here Yubin is, acting like nothing happened. They've been together for about 2 hours now studying at the corner table of Hyojung and Hyejin's cafe. Seunghee has been trying to not get too excited asking Yubin this but Yubin already took her time a lot today! There's no way Seunghee can focus without Yubin's answer.

"I didn't say that." WHAT. Panic, Seunghee already panicked.  

"You said-"

"Fine, I kinda implied it. And?" Ouch. Why is Yubin such a hard-headed or hard-hearted. If Seunghee doesn't know her well, she would've cried out of rejection at this very moment. Seunghee rests her head on her arms on the table, pouting a little.

"And what? What do you like about me?" Yubin didn't answer and Seunghee pouted more, of course she won't answer. Seunghee must've underestimated Yubin or overestimated herself.

I can't tell a specific stuff I like about you. It's hard so please don't ask me and just let me study." Seunghee's face might have lightened as she heard that. This made her gain courage to ask Yubin about dating.

"Are we not going to do anything about it?"

"Like what?"

"Like you, asking me if I like you back?"  Seunghee sat up straight once again and faced Yubin. "Or are you not interested in my response?" She added.

Yubin sets her pen down on the unfinished page of her notebook and faced Seunghee. "Do you like me?" Yubin asked, her voice was low, Seunghee can feel the sincerity by the way Yubin asked that she herself felt her face heating up as she was looking straight to Yubin's eyes.

Seunghee looked away, her reflexes grabbed her pencil and started acting as if she was busy writing as she murmured. "Why would you.. ask... it.. like.. that.."

She heard Yubin laughing. Seunghee mentally cursed herself for being a mess over Yubin. It took a minute or two before Yubin spoke again.

"I.. don't want us to be distracted. This.. Thing between us, it could wait, right? Let's finish our studies first."

Present.

That was it, and that could also be the reason why Seunghee is nervous right now. They're already on the last page of their student lives and according to Yubin they both should "finish their studies first". She also said that it could wait, and the thing between the both of them already waited for months. They've both became busy and although they meet from time to time at the library or at Hyejin and Hyojung's cafe, Seunghee still feels that something has changed, or maybe something was lacking. 

Seunghee was and always will be sure that she likes Yubin. Even though they don't really talk about anything other than studies while they're together, if lucky, they could talk about something else when the group gathered them but that's it, all about their respective studies. Seunghee has been more motivated than ever in studying but she can't erase the fact that Yubin really just put aside what they talked about, as if it never happened in the months ago. It . Seunghee wasn't sure if it's just her consciousness or that was what really happened. 

She never experienced anything like this before, Yubin is her first crush, first love if ever, and could be her first heartbreak today. After finding out that Yubin was also interested in her, she couldn't help but to fall more for the girl, it's already hard to get rid of the feelings or even suppress them and Yubin made it harder being more admirable every day. 

"BAE YOOBIIIIIIN!!!" The group cheered as soon as Yubin ran towards them. Seunghee was too occupied that she didn't know Yubin was coming to them. Of course, it's natural for Yubin to join them but what made Seunghee's heart burst blissfully was when Yubin hugged her as soon as she reached them. The girls made a way for Yubin. Seunghee was speechless. Her heart fluttered many times while watching many dramas, romantic movies, love story books and such but experiencing it in real life was so overwhelming. She wrapped her arms on Yubin's waist and returned the hug comfortably. No no noooo why am I tearing up. 

Nothing would ever feel better than hugging your bestfriend on your graduation day and celebrating your success together. What makes it more of an amazing day is that Seunghee now confirms what she actually feels towards Yubin. 

I like her so much. I love her. I want to be with her always.

Yubin was always Seunghee's life-saver, and she appreciates everything that the girl had done for her, especially how she made her happy. After a few minutes, Yubin patted her shoulder and pulled away. The group chuckled when they saw Seunghee crying. 

Please I don't know what to do my heart is just too happy right now. 

"Hey, we did it. We graduated!" Yubin was smiling brightly infront of her. Seunghee smiles, she  wishes she could take a picture of her right now because she's just so beautiful when she smiles. Yooa places a handkerchief on her palm. She could feel her friends patting her back, giggling while watching her cry. After a few seconds, Seunghee is laughing with them too.

"There we go, I just captured the crybaby Seunghee and her babysitter Yubin on their graduation day!" Mimi announced as she checks the photo she took using her camera. Yooa and Arin went to see the photos Mimi took. Seunghee heard Hyojung and Hyejin asking Mimi to take photos of them as well. Seunghee just ignored them with a smile for now and stared at the girl standing in front of her. 

"We graduated." Seunghee says with a smile. Honestly, there were so many people all over the place but it felt like at that moment, Seunghee could only see Yubin. She hopes that Yubin feels the same. 

Earlier this morning until Yubin hugged her, she was on full-anxiety, she was too nervous, not sure if she's sick or distressed. But now, in just a simple hug.. NO THAT WASN'T SIMPLE ToT It was a life-changing hug!!! Seunghee felt happier than ever, although she still has plans on opening the topic of where they left of a year ago.

"Yep, and I was calling you last night, you slept early?" Oh right. When Seunghee woke up earlier, she couldn't check her phone because her mom already pushed her to the bathroom, she was busy this morning so she must've forgotten. 

"Ahm.. Yes? Maybe I did." Yubin chuckled at her answer. They both turned to face their friends who looked like they're done with the pictures. 

"Seunghee! Binnn, we'll get going now, alright? Congratulations, you two worked really hard AND take care on your way home later." Mimi and Yooa informed them. Hyejin and Hyojung also have to go. Mimi winked at Seunghee, which caused her to scoff. Mimi knew about the Seungbin's "study first" agreement, since they got busy in the past year, they haven't talked about it again after the time Seunghee told her and Jiho about it. And nah, Jiho still doesn't know about what Yubin had for her. 

Anyway, their friends have busy schedules and it's more than okay to just have them attending the ceremony together. After the four left, Seunghee saw the lonely Arin sitting on the benches. She looked at Yubin and they walked over to the girl.

"Do you have plans today?" Seunghee asks as they joined Arin on the bench. From there, they could see that there aren't much students in the venue now, only about 9 of them with their parents, some are on they way out. 

"Actually-" Arin was cut-off when Yubin coughed. Seunghee looked over to Yubin who was on the other side of Arin, her eyebrows furrowing when she saw the sisters whispering to each other.

"Just go home with mom!" 

"No!"

"Yes!"

"But it's boring at home!" 

Seunghee cleared and sighed. "You guys know I'm still here, right?" 

"Arin's going home." Yubin stated and Arin stood up while pouting, taking her earphones out of her pockt and plugging them into her ears. The younger girl waved at Seunghee before leaving.

"Why'd you make her go?" Seunghee asks as she sits closer to Yubin. Sure she has seen these two's sister fights a lot before and she understand sometimes that they're really fighting over something interesting but now, what's so interesting about going home and staying here with them... alone. Ah.. oh my god, we're alone, together. 

"Why do you think so?" Yubin asks back, Seunghee couldn't look at Yubin face because.. I'd definitely go crazy, my heart's already crazy and it's getting crazier now, what should I do then, Seunghee just smiled, in her head she's counting from one to ten to calm herself for some time. 10, 9,

"When we became friends, I thought that you're just one of these friends whom I would keep in contact with, since we're not even in the same department." Yubin started talking, Seunghee lost her count. I know Yubin, I thought the same for you. 10, 9, 8, 7..

"And then I had no idea what to do when I started feeling things for you." Seunghee lost count once again, she feels insane having Yubin doing this next to her, and for her. Bae Yubin, you have no idea how worse I am. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5..

"I thought I should just remain silent because we're friends and I didn't want things to change between us so I did, but things happened and I couldn't help but to tell you that I like you." Yubin heaved a deep sigh while Seunghee just.. suddenly felt more so unlike her usual self. I should tell her that I like her too. Aish I kept losing count! 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3..

"So.. will you please look at me?" 2, 1.. 

Now, Seunghee closed her eyes for a second, letting out a heavy sigh, heavier than Yubin did. She stretched her arms and even did a neck stretching before finally looking shamelessly to Yubin. 

The girl chuckled. She thinks I'm cute. Claim that Seunghee! You're doing well, you're calm and confident! 

"Yes what?" Seunghee asked, trying to supress her blushing as Yubin comfortable smiled at her.

"Since we're done with college, do you want to date me?" Yubin asks without any pause. She's nervous, I can feel it. She's more nervous than I am right now. That's right Hyun Seunghee, you're the confident gay here!

Seunghee cleared , her arms crossed over her chest before answering. "Why would I date you, you rejected me before." She saw how Yubin looked confused for a moment but she must have found an answer somewhere in her smart brain that she smiled.

"Because you're single until now." Foul! hmp. Seunghee stared at Yubin, admiring those eyes again as she thinks of a way to banter. She crossed her legs and rests her hands on her either sides.

"And? I CHOSE TO BE SINGLE." She answered with a pout.

"Because you're still waiting for me until now." Yubin says softly, Seunghee smiled as she looked at the ground.  She's right.. I am.

Yubin sits closer to Seunghee and wrapped her arm on Seunghee's waist as Seunghee felt Yubin's head on her shoulder. "And yes, I will be your partner, officially." Yubin muttered and that's all Seunghee wanted to hear. She can't help but to chuckle, she can't resist smiling at what's currently happening. Only after a few seconds that she heard Yubin yawning. 

"Hey." Seunghee nudged her slightly, Yubin hummed. "How dare you ruin our sweet moment with a yawn?" There they are, with their graduation dresses, they spend the next hour just talking to each other like they always used to, just that this time, there's a warm hug everytime Yubin asks for it, and kisses on the cheek that Yubin gives Seunghee when she least expected it (though she loved every moment of it).

"Seunghee! number 4's knocked out! Heal him!!" Jiho yelled from the screen, Seunghee clicked fast on her phone, stimulating her character to heal their teammate. It's been two months after their graduation and they're having the time of their lives doing everything fun they could think of. 

Seunghee and Yubin decided to not tell anyone about them yet, they don't want their friends to treat them differently. They want to continue being the same, as Yubin wished, nothing should change, but it's a little, just very little hard for Seunghee. 

Speaking of.. Seunghee checked the time from the top of her screen. Her eyes widened when she realized,

"No shoot! It's past 6 o'clock!" Seunghee stood up; she grabbed her mini backpackplacing the phone on the pocket of her shorts.

"Hey! We're in the middle of a game Seung!!" Mimi yelled, her eyes never left the screen of her phone. She glanced at the wall clock of Mimi's room and bit her lip. She sighed before waving at Jiho on the screen of Mimi's laptop.

"Jihoooo bye finish the game without me please don't let Mimi report me!" She hurried as soon as she saw Jiho waved back, though her eyes were still glued on her phone, focused on the game that Seunghee left. As she exited the room, she heard the owner shouting "Seung don't forget the enrolment papers tomorrow!!". She nodded although Mimi couldn't see it. Yes, after college, they'll be enrolling at a review academy before taking service examinations. Yooa was the one who recommended the academy where she goes to after her pre-med courses. Mimi was the one who convinced Seunghee and Yubin was the one who made her say yes.

She and Yubin will be meeting at the plaza. She told Yubin to be there at exactly 6 PM but it's almost 7 now because Seunghee got carried out with the game tension. 

"Bin-ah!" She shouted, the girl was sitting on a bench near an ice cream stall. Seunghee panted as she stopped running when she reached Yubin's position. Yubin was wearing a yellow short-sleeved, above knee dress with white collar and white sneakers. Cute. Unlike Seunghee who wears anything her mom buys for her like her paired denim shorts and her favorite oversized orange shirt, Yubin sure has her own fashion taste. She's already pretty and smart and even dresses well?? My girlfriend is the best. 

"Why did you run? I just got here and I didn't even run." Yubin looked at her then opened her sling bag, she watched as the girl takes out a handkerchief, passing it to Seunghee. 

She gladly takes it and wiped the sweat on her forehead and neck. "That's a relief, I thought you've been waiting. Sorry! Mimi asked for another game and-"

"It's okay, Seunghee." Yubin smiled and stood up, taking Seunghee's free hand. They held hands before, a lot of times especially when Yubin was in a good mood after acing a test in her major subjects but this.. knowing that they're dating now, Seunghee feels a little different. Even before that she just has a crush on Yubin, this didn't worry her but now, she feels conscious. 

Am I sweating? I hope my hands won't sweat, please please I don't want my hands sweating right now.

"You okay?" Yubin asked, she nodded immediately. "Ehe.. why wouldn't I?" Seunghee responded, her tone sounded awkward and she wanted to hit herself for that because Yubin looked at her weirdly. 

Dating Yubin isn't hard, since Seunghee already knows what she likes and dislikes. But, dating someone you know so many things about is hard, which also pertains to Yubin, the same reason that Seunghee knows a lot about Yubin, she tends to feel conscious about almost everything. She's scared to  up their first date as a couple. She's just too nervous.

"Where are we going?" Yubin asks, she wasn't looking at Seunghee but on the road instead, like what she normally does. Am I the only one feeling nervous right now... gosh I thought I'm the confident gay.

"You remember the local barbecue canteen by the east street? The one with the narrow way." Seunghee pointed at the direction, although it wasn't exactly but further than that but she wants to get her attention.

"Yes.. It closed down a year ago. Why?" Yubin faced her for a few seconds. HER JAWLINE.. Seunghee must have panicked a little after that small look and a few glimpse at her girlfriend's side profile. 

Oh- I didn't know it closed down??? "Uhm.. We'll go there." Seunghee says, in her mind she's thinking of a Plan B because her plan failed. How the hell did she not know that the barbeque canteen is out of business already? 

"Why would we go there when it's already closed?"

"Just wait." aha.. Seunghee what are you going to do now. She asks herself although they still continued to walk their way to the alley.

"Wow.." There were lights everywhere, a few people walking through the pavements, it was almost like Hongdae, only that it's not as stuffy. There were business stalls all over the place, somehow resembles the plaza but this one is better because of the colorful lights. Christmas must be coming soon indeed.

"Yeah.. wow.." Seunghee couldn't help to react at how amazing the setting of the place looks like. This is definitely a good shot, good mistake of her to think that the canteen was still open but look, the place got renovated a little and it became better. 

"Why did you take me here?" Yubin stopped walking, she started taking photos of the trees and the lights.

Seunghee rubbed her temple, think, Seunghee. Think. "H-huh? Oh uhm.. it's nice, nice yes-" She's cut-off when Yubin glared at her.

"One more weird response and you'll get what you don't want." The girl warned her, Seunghee raised her arms in defeat. I KNOW I'M EVEN WEIRDED OUT BY MYSELF. 

"I'm not acting weird!"

Are we seriously going to talk like this in the middle of this street???

"You are, idiot, get yourself together. It's just us, what's wrong with this? Are you nervous?"

"NO, just.. just um.. I just"

"Stop acting all strange and act normal."

"I'm acting normal!"

"You're acting like I'm not Yubin!" 

"You aren't- I mean you are Yubin-"

"Try lying to me again and I'll flick that hidden forehead out of your body."

Seunghee surrendered, immediately using her palm to cover her forehead that was already covered with her bangs. "PLEASE! I'm trying my best to act normal okay??"

"Then why won't you??" Yubin rolled her eyes, walking ahead of her. Seunghee jogged to reach Yubin whose eyes are busy on her phone taking pictures of the lights in another angle. The girl stopped walking. Seunghee blocked her view. Yubin just stared at her from the screen, Seunghee heard a few clicks, she smiled knowing Yubin might've capture a few meme-worthy photos of her.

"What, why are you blocking the lights, I'm taking photos if you can't see them?" Yubin asked again, Seunghee pursed her lips for a moment to think of a good and normal response. Why is she so snubby..

"Maybe because.. uh.." Hyun Seunghee what's going on with you. 

Yubin sighed, she placed her phone back on her pocket and looks at the pouty girl across her. "Seunghee, I told you, I dont want anything to change between us. We cared for each other for a long time already, you should stop being nervous around me."

"Okay okay. We're friends, comfortable friends.." Seunghee heaved a deep breath after reminding that to herself.

"Did you just disregarded the fact that we're dating?" Seunghee massaged her temple at Yubin's response. god I just can't get this girl sometimes but I love her still. "NO, just needed to calm myself." She answered after a few seconds of meditating. Yubin nodded and smiled once again.

"Good. Now should we eat? I'll treat you today for taking me to this pretty place." 

"Aww, okay let's eat everything since you're paying!" 

"I-" Seunghee didn't let Yubin finish talking as she starts checking the menu on the food stalls, smiling as she heard Yubin whining behind her.

"Can I ask something?"

"Sure, anything but your games."

Seunghee scoffed. "Do you ever or have you ever experienced being nervous because of me?" Because to be honest, even after what Yubin told her earlier, she still can't stop thinking about stuff.. about their relationship now. It makes her nervous from time to time.

"Why? Have you?" Yubin rested her elbows on the table as they occupy a four-person table. Right now, they're sitting across each other.

"HEY WHY ARE YOU ASKING THAT BACK. Aish." Seunghee placed the set of food they bought on the table and just like what she always does, she sets the table for Yubin to eat; she placed two pieces of cupcakes on Yubin's paper plate.

"It's a secret. You wouldn't know" Yubin stuck her tongue out, Seunghee's grip on her spoon tightened at the sight of Yubin teasing her.

"I'm gonna say this just once and today only. I want us to apply this even until our future. I want us to be the most comfortable when we're with each other. I will accept all your strengths and weaknesses and I hope you consider mine as well.."

Seunghee's heart fluttered as she tried to sink all the things Yubin told her. "What does that mean?"

"What?"

"Our future? OH are you indirectly asking me to be your wife" Seunghee cupped her face, acting cute for Yubin who just smiled at her, grabbing her spoon once again as she continued eating.

Yubin takes a cupcake from the box and Seunghee asks again. "How about the 'weaknesses'? What do you mean by that? Because for me, you're good at everything."

"Ah stop praising me."

"I'm noooot, just telling the truth."

"There's something I'm not good at."

"What is it?" Of course, there will be something Yubin isn't good at. Every person has their weaknesses and so far.. after the Jiho thing, Seunghee hasn't observed another flaw of Yubin.

Yubin didn't answer. Seunghee pouted but she continued eating. She'll tell me one time soon. 

Meanwhile, Yubin answered, in her thoughts; Comprehending my feelings.

"Hey Seung, don't forget later at HyoJin's, alright?" Mimi tapped Seunghee's shoulder as she passed by her. Seunghee is with Yubin sitting on a table at the cafeteria of the academy when Mimi joined them, pushing Yubin a little to sit with her, causing Seunghee to have Mimi across her instead of Yubin. She saw Yubin pouting on the side. i-- she's so adorable??

"What's with that later? I have plans this afternoon." Seunghee says while slightly moving a little towards Yubin's direction. 

"Yep, me too. I have plans." Yubin seconded, Mimi furrowed her eyebrows at the two. 

"GUYS this is important okay? WE'll be complete again, I'm telling you." Oh? IS IT TODAY- She looked at Mimi and the girl nodded eagerly with a wide smile, Yubin on the side looked confused. Jiho is coming home today. Seunghee was busy hanging out with Yubin that she had no update about the exact day Jiho would go back to the country.

"Complete?" Yubin asked, and Mimi nodded once again, with much eagerness as she stood up, waving at the two. "Later, ok?" and the girl left. Yubin who's still confused moved back to her former position.

"She's coming home." Seunghee answered shortly with a smile on her face. Thank you almighty, we'll be complete again!! Seunghee couldn't be more excited, finally they'll see and tease Jiho in person. 

"So are we still up for karaoke later?" Yubin confirms. Right, their plan today is to go and play on a karaoke house nearby after Yubin's class. Hm.. Seunghee rubbed her chin.

"I guess we can still do that, Kim Jiho can wait."

"I recorded our cover of OMG's Stupid in Love earlier. Gonna listen to it everynight!" Seunghee showed the screen of her phone to Yubin, her girlfriend laughed.

"Hey! Whyyy~ It's not a decent cover, Seunghee, we were high." Seunghee and Yubin are now walking on their way to Hyojung and Hyejin's cafe. They know they're running- or walking a little late from the time set but as Seunghee said, Kim Jiho can wait. And as she could observe, Yubin wants to hang out more than go to the cafe.

When they reached the cafe, Seunghee opened the door and took her time staring at her girlfriend as they walk. There it is again, thump thump, everytime Yubin makes a move on her. 

"But your voice was so cute earlier! Don't be shy!" Seunghee exclaims but Yubin just laughed it off, ignoring her and walking straight towards Arin and the others.

"Hyojung unnie when are we going to eaaat? I'm starving!" Seunghee whined as she called Hyojung from the counter. Hyejin patted her hand that was on the table and went to help Hyojung. Mimi stood up as well and helped delivering the dinner to the table. Yubin was busy with her phone, she's texting their mom as they won't eat dinner at the house. 

Where is Jiho though? She should be here now. Seunghee looked around. Just in time, Hyojung went back to their table and someone entered the cafe.

Sure Seunghee saw Jiho a lot of time on video calls but wow? She's.. so beautiful and so cool.. WOW. Even her blonde hair looks better in person??? Seunghee had her hand covering for over 5 minutes watching Jiho sit next to Arin who looked in awe when Jiho approached her, can't blame Arin though. Does leaving Korea makes you perfect? Seunghee swears Kim Jiho is on another level of perfection now. She remembers the first time she met Jiho, she already knew Jiho's visuals are on a level above hers but now?? it's like towers above hers. 

"GLAD TO HAVE YOU BACK JIHO!" Seunghee purposely yelled at Jiho's ear as they hugged, Jiho immediately backed off, laughing at her. 

"Hey you're killing my ears!"

After the hugging ceremony, they started eating. Seunghee took a few pieces of chicken slices and was about to place two pieces on Yubin's plate but the girl stopped her and smiled, taking hers by herself. 

Weird. 

Seunghee shrugged it off.
