As her best friend, I couldn't really agree with what she's doing. If you were her best friend, would you condone her? Of course not! But the thing is, you can't really tell someone to stop loving someone, can you?
 

The heart wants what it wants and loves who it loves. 
 

I couldn't tell her to stop seeing her lover because he's one of the only two reasons making her happy.  Second is her career. 
 

The toxic relationship started 6 years ago due to an expected arrangement. She said no but who is she to defy orders? If I were her, I would've threatened them with my life but she's not me.
