Donghae only has 24 hours left to live.

He dedicated 12 hours for people whom he loved dearly.

Another 12 hours for somebody he loves the most.

 

And that somebody is none other than Hyukjae.

 

 

 

“Are you going somewhere?” Donghae hesitantly nods his head. Hyukjae waits for more words to be said but nothing. His heart feels heavy. “Can I come with you?”

 

“You can’t, Hyukjae.” Donghae sounds so solemn, so sad and down. Hyukjae hates that. He only wants him to be happy.

 

“Why not?” He asks without thinking much, but the answer makes him doubt everything.

 

Donghae smiles warmly to him. “Because where I’m going next is somewhere you can’t go just yet.”

 

How Hyukjae wishes he could have understood those sooner.

Chapter 5: what wrong timing for me to read this...... i can only imagine hyukjae crying and is a mess, albeit for a different reason. but i know our hyukkie is strong and he has s by his side ;((( nevertheless it’s a beautiful fic. thank you!

Chapter 5: I don't know why I chose to read this one first out of your stories and right before I go to bed, but here we are and I absolutely loved it! Losing loved ones is one of the hardest things. I've lost many, and the weight of it didn't hit me until adulthood, and that wasn't fun to go through once it did, but I've been working through it still even after several years. It's hard but little things can help like reading through stories like these so that I take time to think about them and morn.
