Another month passed and not only the shareholders and business partners were lost but also the Seo family's assets and properties.

For everytime that a company refuses workers from the New CT Construction Company, Mr. Seo doesn't have any choice but to send them off. But of course, not without anything they could use to start off.

For every workers that exits the business, the company is giving out their back pay and their 13th month incentive, as well as the sickness leave converted into money. And because they have a lot of employees in the company, the family was given no choice but to sell off several assets and properties to be able to help their loyal and faithful men.

It's true that Taeyong offered help regarding transferring some employees to their company, however, the guy could not do that immediately as he was still conversing the idea with the HR and proposing it to his father. At times like this, he can't help but want to get the title of being the CEO immediately. He even asked his mother's help to convince his father into accepting the proposal because he knows Mr. Lee was almost weak for his wife.

Johnny could never be more thankful for this help.

Fortunately, even before they were left with not even a single cent, Johnny's mother was able to start a small Coffee Shop by the sea side, where his father often fish nowadays so he was mostly out.

"Where's dad?" the son asked his mother after shortly planting a quick kiss on her cheek when he reached her behind the counter.

Just like the past month, Seo Johnny is still looking for potential company to transfer their employees, to no avail.

He went to his mother's coffee shop for a break before he continue his quest for the afternoon. Sitting down behind the counter, he looked at his mother curiously whereas the lady just looked down, continuing grounding the coffee.

"out. You know how he was these days."

What's funny was that, Johnny's father was a workaholic man and he always had his nose buried under piles of paper works, thus the reason why he's always locked up inside his office. Whenever he went out, he would always play golf along with his friends. But now, he had no other choice but to go fishing instead of playing golf, as he had no more paper works to accomplish other transferring land titles and signing off purchase deals.

If those could be considered paper works.

Her son nodded his head in understanding before folding his arms on the counter, resting his chin on top of it afterwards. He sighed.

Mrs. Seo looked at him in alarm, stopping the grinding movements of her hands. "Don't do that! That's bad for the business!" She chastised when Johnny shifted his attention a little towards her.

A long while of silence passed before the pair erupted in laughter. The son straightened up his back afterwards. "Fine, Fine." He started, shaking his head lightly as he looked down the counter top. "I won't sigh anymore. It's bad for the business." He looked at his mother fondly and she smiled back.

"That's my boy."

But then, deep down, Johnny knew the man was just trying to escape the situation and he's mostly out to distract his mind. He's most probably blaming himself for everything that happened. He can't even come to the sending off of his employees, making his son and wife the in charge of distributing money and their incentives.

Nobody wanted the things that happened to happen nonetheless, so no one was blaming the head of the family.

Only him.

What a wonderful man he was.

Johnny just hopes his father would not ponder on the thought too much, that's not healthy for his mental health.

〰〰〰

Jaeeun sat inside Taeyong's office that afternoon, scrolling through her phone in boredom. Their parents arranged for the two to meet each other blabbering things about 'spending time with each other' and 'getting to know each other more' which the girl found as necessary.

It's true Lee Taeyong was the only candidate to become her fiancé soonest but she was never planning to marry him. Not someone her parents picked for her.

"are you bored?" His voice caught her attention and she shifted her gaze from her device towards his table. He was looking at her questioningly and almost (she dare say) lovingly but she didn't care.

Not now, not ever.

"Yeah, really bored." She answered straightforwardly and Taeyong's shoulders almost slumped. Nonetheless, he refused to show her this. He had finally found someone he wanted to get serious with after a long time of fooling around so he's not letting her bluntness get to him at all.

If he wants her to like him back, he will not give up on her. Not just yet.

So instead, Taeyong nodded at her before smiling kindly. "Is that so? Do you want to tour around the building first? I can call my secretary to accompany you." He offered.

Crossing her arms, Jaeeun looked away, observing the interior of his office instead.
"No thanks. I'll go out when I want to later. For now, I'll stay here as expected of me." She answered flatly. She might never admit it, but Na Jaeeun was someone so prideful that she doesn't like being told what to do.
