Chapter 2: Mark of Death

and then just BANG.

A moment of silence bestowed the planet. There wasn't a single sound, it was just like everyone disappeared. But it wasn't like Alizeé didn't shoot, and it wasn't like Tao was dead. Just before Alizeé pulled the trigger, Tao grabbed her hand, making her shoot into the air. Alizeé was shocked for a moment at his speed, it was so fast that she didn't even have a chance to react. Tao wasn't the same anymore either, he had a cold look in his eyes, and his actions weren't the ones of an idiot anymore, it's like he was a different person. Tao squeezed Alizeé's hand making her drop the gun. Alizeé still shocked at what happened didn't stay there for long, a smirk formed on her face as she quickly pulled out a knife from her back pocket. Tao quickly reacted and jumped away from Alizeé, Tao just stood there a few moments, trying to process what just happened, I mean the frail looking girl, who enchanted him like a princess, was actually a witch set out to kill him. He looked up at Alizeé with disbelief, it was like an arrow to his heart, he wanted to believe it was all just a bad joke, but it wasn't Alizeé ran up to Tao with the intention to kill, while Tao still in disbelief didn't even flinch. Alizeé was right next to him, but she didn't even try to harm him, she just stood there with the knife pointed at his neck. Tao finally spoke:
"Hey Lizzy, how about we stop this, I don't like these kinds of jokes, come on let's just go get some tea or something, I'll forget about all this, ok?"
Alizeé spoke up:
"Tao, my name is Alizeé not Lizzy, but I'll let you call me Whisper, since that is my real name, but not like you can use it a lot since well you won't be able to speak anymore."
 

 Tao straightened up and slapped Alizeé across the face, he then shouted in a loud voice:
"Ok, no matter how pretty you are, you can't treat someone like this, I'll always forgive you but this joke is just distasteful, I mean I understand some people are into stuff like this, but just give it a break!"
Alizeé grabbed her cheek, that was steaming red from Tao's slap, she chuckled a little and then began hysterically laughing, she spoke in a loud manner:
"GOD! X told me you were an idiot, but I didn't think you were this much of a dog, how dare you do this to my face?! You filthy pig!!!"
Tao was beginning to even get scared of the hysterical girl, he slowly started to back away, until he turned around and ran, he didn't know if she was crazy or if someone was really up to kill him, but that was truly the first time in his life that he ran filled with fear, even if that girl looked like a goddess, there was something very demonic about that girl. She was no Angel she was Death itself. Tao ran and ran until he finally reached his car, he got in and started the car, for a short moment he looked down on the beach once again, he saw that Alizeé was still standing in the same spot he left her, she was now composed and calm, she was staring right at him, she then mouthed something. Tao tried to decipher what she said, but he just couldn't, and truthfully he didn't care, he just wanted to get the hell out of there, he wanted to go back to bed, sleep a little and hope that when he awoke it would really all just be a disturbing dream.

 Tao came back home to see Se Hun waiting for him on their campus, it was weird but they were probably the only people on campus at that time, everyone else went somewhere for summer break. Tao knew that it wasn't just a dream but he decided not to tell Se Hun so he wouldn't trouble him. After they had unpacked and saddled down they decided it was time to have some fun, I mean it wasn't like they came to the UK everyday.  They went to Cornwall, Knights Hayes,  Clovelly, and many other popular places in England, and so the whole summer had passed and it was time for school. Tao didn't hook up with even one girl during break, and he was very uneasy even when he was with Se Hun and having fun. Se Hun noticed it, but to him it was obvious that Tao had his reasons, and that he wasn't telling him because that was his choice, so Se Hun didn't ever bring it up. Still, to Tao, this was like paradise, being with his best friend, in a beautiful place, just having fun. And so in a blink of an eye, break was over and they had to start college, Tao and Se Hun made a lot of friends during summer break, they met people from their school that were from America,France,Italy,Germany,Austria,Norway,Japan,China,Korea,Taiwan,Russia and many other countries, it was an international school so that was to be expected. Se Hun and Tao decided they would take a course together, but they couldn't decide so in the end Se Hun decided to take art, while Tao decided to take music. I mean they would still live together on campus, and they would still be the best of friends, and hang out together, but they just wouldn't be in the same division...easy as that, at least that's what Tao thought, he thought everything would be alright, right? WRONG.

 So they went their separate ways to their classes, Tao woke up kind of late, so he had to rush to his class, the moment he ran into the class he bumped into someone, Tao fell to the ground, he quickly apologized and looked up to see if the person was ok, but in front of him was Lay. Tao was at a loss of words, I mean what was that douche doing here. Tao groaned and quickly stood up, he almost demanded for an answer:
"What the hell are you doing here, you freaking douche bag?!"
Lay just smirked at him and said:
"Did you just call me a *shower bag?"
*Note: douche is French for shower*

Tao gave him the-hell?! look, which made Lay just laugh a little, he then passed by Tao and tapped him on the shoulder, as he spoke in a tiny voice:
"I see you met Whisper, she's such a nice girl, isn't she? She was kind of mad at you the last time, but don't worry you'll be able to meet her soon enough, by the way if I were you I wouldn't spend time here just listening to me, you should probably go search for your friend."
 

 The moment Tao heard that he didn't care about Lay or Alizeé or class or anything, he just wanted to find Se Hun right away. Se Hun ran at full speed to the art division, he stormed at in to the classroom, and yelled:
"Where's Se Hun?!"

Everybody looked at him confused, a girl in the corner of the room said:

"Uhmm, he just went to the bathroom."

Tao ran of and in the middle of the hallway he saw Se Hun, Se Hun had a confused look on his face, Tao ran up to him and quickly asked him:

"You're alright, nothing happened to you, right?"

Se Hun looked at Tao confused and just nodded, the moment Se Hun nodded, there was a loud noise outside, a gunshot, it broke the window, and Se Hun quickly yelled at Tao:
"WATCH OUT!"
and pushed Tao away, making himself a sitting duck.
