One month has passed since I started working at the Magic Shop as an intern. Everything went well and my mentors, Seok Jin and Yoon Gi, taught me many things. Now, summer is starting. One warm night, the three of us walk to the car after finishing the day. As we pass by a convenience store, I remember my cupboards are starting to be empty, “Oh! I forgot I have to get some groceries!” I turn to the young men and point at the store with my thumb, “Go ahead and go home without me! I’ll see you tomorrow.” They look up at the building behind me and exchange a serious look. “Actually, there’s somewhere we’d like to take you.” I tilt my head at Seok Jin's words, brows disappearing under my bangs, “Where?” They grin. “It’s a secret~” teases Yoon Gi. One of my brows now arc in suspicion but Seok Jin shakes his head. “Don’t worry, it’s nothing scary!” “Just trust us, Seo Min!” A smile pulls at the corner of my lips. Yoon Gi’s voice has a tint of aegyo, even if he most likely didn’t intend to. I shrug, “Ok, let’s go. But I hope it’s a good place because I don’t have any ramen left at home. That’s a disaster, you know.” We get to the car as I finish my sentence. The youngest of the doctors chuckles and leaves for the other side. “It’s worth it, I guarantee,” he assures. I reach for the door but Seok Jin’s hand stops me, “However, since it’s a secret, you have to cover your eyes!” he announces cheerfully, handing me a scarf. I scoff, “You said it was nothing scary!” Settling in the driver seat, Yoon Gi turns around, “It really isn’t but we just want the surprise to be complete!” His gummy grin picks my curiosity. I roll my eyes, an amused smirk forming on my lips, and tie the scarf around my head. I feel Seok Jin move next to me before hearing the car’s door open. He kindly guides my blindfolded self in. During the ride, the eldest’s phone rings and Nam Joon’s voice comes from the other side of the line. “Where are you?” he asks. “We’re on the way with Seo Min.” I turn my head to where I think Seok Jin is, “Is everyone going to be there?” “Yeah we’re all gathered! We’re waiting for you!” Ho Seok’s voice exclaims. I giggle. Excitement builds up in me. “Are Seo Min’s eyes covered?” This time it’s Nam Joon’s voice that interrogates. Seok Jin moves as he answers, probably turning to see if I kept the scarf, “They are.” “Good, see you later!” The car stops about ten or fifteen minutes after the conversation. To prevent any risk of injury, I wait for the door to be opened, which happens immediately after the passenger side shuts. The eldest of the doctors takes my hand in his. “I’ll guide you.” “I'm counting on you. Don't let me bump in a streetlamp please.” My request makes the young man laugh. We take a few steps and a door is pushed. I think I recognize the sound of the Magic Shop’s door but they wouldn’t have covered my eyes just to bring me there. The air changes as we enter a building and becomes cooler, the subtle sound of an air-conditioner coming to my ears. I hear the door close behind me but not a single sound comes from inside the room. “We’ve arrived.” Suddenly, Yoon Gi’s voice is in my back, startling me as he undoes the scarf. It takes my eyes some seconds to adapt to the light once it falls from my face. After blinking a few times, I finally see the seven young men facing me. “Congratulations!!” they shout, throwing confetti and streamers at me. I close my eyes by reflex, just to open them again immediately but a lot wider, “What’s going on?!” A laugh passes my lips after my question, when I notice a streamer hanging in the corner of my eyes. I reach up and take it off my head. Confetti cannons in their hands, the boys laugh and walk closer to me. Tae Hyung catches a streamer as it falls from my shoulder while Ho Seok takes confettis out of my hair. I look up to the, still quite amused by my reaction, and chuckling young men gathered around me. Nam Joon grins and bends to reach my eyes' level, “It’s a party to celebrate the end of your treatment!” “Huh?” I’m even more surprised by this announcement. I turn to Ji Min, who gives me his usual beautiful smile and nods. “You’re officially discharged from the Magic Shop, Seo Min!” I stare up at him, completely quiet for a moment. Eventually, the tears rolling down on my cheeks contrast with the sound of my laugh as I beam at the seven men. “Group hug!” suddenly exclaims Tae Hyung. Without any objection, as if it was natural, the boys close the space between us and I end up sandwiched in the middle, making me giggle. When the group parts, I wipe my tears but the smile doesn't leave my face. Jung Kook is quick to distract me, helping to stop more tears from coming up. “Look at everything we prepared, Seo Min!” he calls. “You’ll love it!” The young men move aside to let me see the two tab
