“It’s a pleasure to hire you but can you explain what happened first?” I nod. Ji Min gestures to the sofa he had pushed away from the portraits wall. We settle in it and I tell him everything in detail. At the last part, the young man burst out laughing. “I’m…! Really sorry!! I know I shouldn’t laugh… But that punchline!” he blurts, clapping his hands. “I’m quite proud of it.” “You can! It’s fabulous!!” Once our laughter calms, Ji Min grabs my wrist and pulls me behind him to the desk near the entrance. He opens a drawer, from which he takes some papers out. Letting go of my wrist, he then reaches for a pen that he hands me. “What is this?” I interrogate as I come closer to examine the papers on the desk. “Your contract!” I arc a brow at the young man, “You were so sure I would accept your offer that you already prepared it?” Ji Min shakes his hands in front of him, “No, no! I prepared it just in case.” My lips stretch in a small, warm smile. I flip the pages, eyes scanning their content, before taking the pen and signing on both copies. I slide one to Ji Min and fold the other one, “I'll put that in my bag.” The young man nods and turns to the desk. I drift my attention from my bag to him, after putting the contract inside, and notice he’s holding an arm out with a badge in his hand. “Your ID badge as an employee of the Magic Shop,” he says, getting a snort out of me. “I prepared it just in case as well.” I give him an amused lopsided smile, politely receiving the badge with both hands. “Park Seo Min.
