Stunning"Where is he?" Hyunwoo looked around Minah pointed to the couch.
"Still sleeping" Somi could hear the soft breaths that Hyungwon was letting out. Hyunwoo's eyes zeroed in on the couch, and he approached, standing over Hyungwon and looking down at him, His brows pinching, and he pursed his lips in thought. Then Hyunwoo's thoughts stopped. He knew there were many things he should have been thinking at that moment. He had another person that was now under his care as the leading card in the deck. But he drew blank; nothing came to mind as his eyes narrowed on the way Hyungwon was curled in on himself, hugging the pillow and the blanket at the same time that his arm was wrapped around his knees, just wanting to hold onto anything and everything around him.
"He's been out for a couple of hours now" Somi explained as they all stood over Hyungwon, so exhausted that he didn't even have it in him to wake up and take notice of them.
"He seems really tired" Changkyun commented on the noticeable thing they were all thinking, and Somi nodded.
"I think he has a lot of fatigue mentally."
"Should we-"
"No, leave him" Somi held back Hyunwoo's hand, stopping him from interrupting Hyungwon's sleep.
"Let him rest, and then we can talk about whatever you need to talk about with him" Hyunwoo wasn't satisfied, he was the decision maker, the one that knew what was best for the group he was leading, but he nodded, unable to say his disagreement as he stepped back.
"Oh Hyunwoo," Changkyun called for his attention, already biting back a smile as he followed Hyunwoo back to the kitchen area of the dorm.
"Yes, Changkyun?" Hyunwoo sighed.
"Somi was being testy earlier," He started, and Somi snapped her head back to look at him, rushing over to him and grabbing his shirt.
"Im Changkyun" Somi grumbled, warning the male to be careful.
"And she said that you're not as big and scary as you look," Somi gasped, "actually she said you're just like a puppy" Changkyun smugly let his lips pull into a smirk.
"I did not say any of that!"
"Yes, she did!"
"No! I said that I would tell Hyunwoo that you didn't like being called a puppy and in retaliation-" She then turned her words to Hyunwoo. "-he held me over his head and laughed at my struggling and mocked me when I said I was going to tell you what he did."
"He did what to you now?" Hyunwoo's face contorted in confusion as Changkyun made loud 'lo's' and 'la's' to cover Somi's words.
"He yanked me off the ground and put me right over his head" Somi explained with an extra demonstration from her arms.
"Changkyun I don't understand what you've done, but you know you are not to be treating our card-"
"This. I did it just like this" Like a child showing their prize, Changkyun had Somi in the air again, and she whined, kicking her legs so that her feet were hitting Changkyun's stomach.
"Look, she can't get out of it. I told her that maybe she'd be able to fight me off if she were to work harder in Physical Ed-"
"Im Changkyun put the lady down!" Hyunwoo moved in the blink of an eye to safely snatch Somi away from Changkyun, and she huffed, puffing her cheeks out and blowing her stray strands of hair back from her face.
"Ok but now you're not being any different" Changkyun commented on the one arm scoop that Hyunwoo was holding Somi off the ground in.
"Yeah, Hyunwoo" Somi gave Hyunwoo a look with pursed lips. He looked down at her tucked snuggly in his side and frowned, putting her down as he realised what he was doing. Her feet touched the ground, and she stepped back, moving away from Hyunwoo and Changkyun.
"Changkyun also said you were going to call me a brat after he called me a brat himself!" Somi quickly jumped in at the sight of Changkyun opening his mouth again, beating him in the game of throwing each other under the bus.
"Why would I ever call someone that's not being a brat a brat?"
"She was being a brat!" Somi jumped at Changkyun and covered his mouth, silencing him to muffles and tugs at her hands to free his lips back into the world of tattle tailing.
"Do not wake Hyungwon!" She hissed through a whisper, looking back over her shoulder, eyes narrowing as she listened for any sounds from the couch. Silence hung in the air, with no sounds signalling that Hyungwon had been awoken by the noise they were making.
"He must be a deep sleeper" Hyunwoo's shoulders shrugged unsurely, turning around to go and check on Hyungwon.
"Nothing" Hyunwoo shook his head, looking back at Somi and Changkyun. Changkyun muffled something, and Somi's head flicked to him, looking confused as her brows pulled together. Changkyun pushed Somi's hands away and breathed in a gulp of air.
"He's fine, so you can get off me now" He repeated himself, and Somi's eyes rolled with annoyance.
------------
The tension that could be cut through with a knife hung in the room, a silence so awkward that Somi couldn't help but shift in her place, unable to get comfortable in the stifling atmosphere.
"So, you're an A grade card?" Hyunwoo looked to Hyungwon. Hyungwon looked up, blinked his eyes in confusion of being pulled from his thoughts and cleared his throat.
"Yes, I am" He nodded, followed by Hyungwon and a slight nod from Changkyun, who's feet swung over the ground as his eyes concentrated on them, lips tucked in all signs of awkwardness and discomfort.
"You're not far away from being an S grade card" Hyunwoo acknowledged.
"No, I'm not."
"Is anyone hungry?" Somi piped up, eyes widening when three pairs of eyes shot to her with the sudden use of her voice.
"I uh, I can cook us something for dinner?" She proposed.
"But how could you cook? We are here" Hyungwon automatically stood up with his gasp and made the goal to head to the kitchen. Somi quickly jumped to her feet to rush in front of Hyungwon and beat him to the kitchen.
"No, it's fine Hyungwon, I really enjoy being able to do things like cooking and cleaning" Some waved her hands to ease Hyungwon's exasperation.
"Cleaning?! Just what sort of life are these two allowing to be lived here?" Somi's eyes were wide in bewilderment, and that was ready to argue was stunned into staying open at the sudden dictating attitude that was coming from Hyungwon.
"The life that myself and the others all come to an agreement on, together," Somi told him, not letting her words be said in an exclamation like Hyungwon was. But she did narrow her eyes towards Hyunwoo and Changkyun to remind them that they were equally involved in the making of how they all lived.
"Somi if there was ever a problem with the cooking and cleaning, you could have simply said so" Hyunwoo stood up, brows pinched in worry that he was doing his job terribly, the look she sent them being ignored.
"Yeah, that's what we're here for" Changkyun nodded, knowing and teasing unlike the seriousness coming from Hyunwoo, looking at them over the back of the couch and Somi's mouth opened and closed as her mind struggled to come to any conclusive sentences to say.
"We've already talked about this you guys" Somi groaned, shoulders slumping and head lolling back.
"I know how to cook. I can do it well if you just give me a chance Somi" Hyungwon reached out, taking hold of Somi's arm in both his hands. Somi straightened her stance and snapped her head to Hyungwon.
"Hyungwon you have the chance and the freedom to do anything that you want to do" She assured him, lips turning down with a tinge of sadness that matched Hyungwon's eyes at the stress of not feeling heard.
"Then let me cook dinner," He told her and Somi cleared , head bobbing. She stepped aside, following Hyungwon with her eyes into the small space that was the kitchen.
------------
"Alright everybody gather around, it's laundry day!" The bun of hair atop of Somi's head plopped with the jump she took out of her room, holding a laundry basket already containing her washing in front of her.
"Laundry day?" Hyungwon was immediately off the couch and heading towards Somi.
"Yes, so go and get your clothes, I will knock for you in five minutes."
"Ok, I'll go get my things" He nodded, and Somi turned to put down the basket on the coffee table, turning back to find Hyungwon gone. With Hyunwoo and Changkyun collecting their things already, Somi smiled at the five minutes of time that was ahead of her, making a move for the kitchen to get out her blender that clunked when she sat it on the bench.
"I wonder if Hyungwon will like the same fruits as the others?" Somi pondered to herself with the fridge door open and her hands reaching for the fruit that they had stored. The blender whirling to life filled the dorm room with noise until four cups were sitting next to it, filled with a pink drink that Somi was satisfied with after taking her first sip.
"Yes!" She formed a little fist of
