Paparazzi
Make It BetterThe next day, Jiyong decides to stay home and figure out what he truly wants to do.
He thinks and thinks but is unable to come up with anything.
His writing was too personal to him. He didn't want it to be published so a writing career was a big no.
Time flew and Seungri soon came home.
"What are you doing?"
"I want to decide what I need to do."
"It doesn't happen in one day, Jiyong. Relax."
"No... I need an idea. If I don't get an idea, then I will forever be relaxing."
"You're really passionate, aren't you?"
A nod.
"Did you think about a writing career?"
"No way. My writings are too personal and I don't know if people will even get my writing or the level of understanding."
"You underestimate the human brain a bit too much..."
Silence.
Seungris' in the kitchen, making coffee for them both.
"If you're not confident..." He continues after setting the coffee cups on the table with a soft clink, "I will help you with it. I can find someone to publicize your book-"
"No! No, Seungri... I... I don't want to be publicized at all... I want my work to be appreciated for what it is... not because someone famous said it was good..."
"You're gloomy as . I give up."
"What did you say, you little ?"
"That's more like you. You know what, if you want to stay personal so bad but still want to be recognized for your work, how about becoming a ghost writer?"
"A ghost writer?"
"Yes. You can either write books or song lyrics through the original idea of others. The books or songs will sell through their names and you will be credited by the name you go by as a co-writer or something like that..."
Jiyongs' eyes are wide, intrigued. "I will stay anonymous but my work will be recognized this way? Like, I will be out of spotlight?"
"Yes. It seems we both are same in such aspects. We really don't want to be too famous." Seungri remarks with a small smile, then, "Also, you will profit greatly if it hits off... It's like owning a franchise."
"I will do it!" Jiyong answers, eyes twinkling with motivation, "You're a genius, Seungri!"
"Hah, as if I needed to know the obvious. Oh! Whatever will you do without me?" The said person wipes his forehead dramatically, wiping off invisible sweat and then switching it up into a cool pose, placing his fingers over his temple (like you see all villains do before they get their kicked).
He quickly dodges the book thrown his way but topples his wheelchair in the process. He feigns a pained scream and hears the other do the same in mock acting, that makes Sengri drop his act and laugh out loud.
"Who should I contact for ideas, though?"
"I don't know? Beyoncé?"
"Don't talk to me until your braincells have recovered."
Jiyong contacts all known agencies for publishers and mails them them his proposals for the position of a ghost writer.
Two whole weeks pass and he doesn't get a single call.
He shouldn't be hopeless. He shouldn't.
Unfortunately, the human mind is very strong and he eventually falls into pits of self doubting.
He feels strongly embarrassed. How could he even think he could make it? There were so many amazing ghost writers out there. What difference was he going to make with his amateur writing?
"Contact celebrities. Not agencies."
"Huh?"
"You don't need to hide it from me, you know. I know you well enough now."
Jiyong wants to question the other. He wants to tell him how impossible this is, but, Seungri is giving him the most serious look he has ever worn.
He nods.
He contacts national celebrities and even underground artists.
Within two days he gets the job offered by a new publishing house.
Half a year passes by.
By this time, Jiyong is able to walk at a normal pace. Running is still an issue but he can walk, nevertheless.
Everyone was extremely happy for him, but something seemed off.
Seeing Seungri still in that chair while he walks around, was something he didn't think he would find... odd. Unnatural. Wrong.
He tries helping the other get the same therapy as him but unfortunately, those procedures
