A Little More
Make It BetterSeungris' will to live had surprised everyone.
He would diligently go to his cooking school despite the warnings. Graduating 3 months sooner than his classmates due to excellent results.
He would later get a loan and plan on running a food business. It was as if the revelation had changed him.
Jiyong couldn't be happier. There was always a lingering sadness and worry when they were alone but he believed in Seungri. He needed to believe in him.
No one knows what will happen next and he assumes this is exactly what the other thought too, hence taking his chances at life at a much quicker pace than before.
Yet again Jiyong felt immense inspiration by watching the other.
And great worry too.
In fear that Seungris' condition will worsen, he takes him to the doctor again.
The doctor runs him through several scans and tests, then, to his amazement, the necrosis had slowed down again. Though it wasn't good news and it was most likely an abnormality, it was a sign of hope. The doctor could finally perform surgery and remove the infectious build up where it had started at his groin.
Before going into surgery, Jiyong insisted to be with the other despite his reluctance on being fine alone.
They both watched as the nurse prepared the anesthesia, Seungri asked her how long it takes to be knocked out and the nurse said their highest was 6 seconds.
And Seungri being Seungri challenged he will beat that. The nurse humours him and tells him to start counting just as she switches on the anesthesia. He counts, "One, T-" and the nurse gives an amused smile while Jiyong hides his face behind his hands and keeps snickering away his embarrassment at how fast the other went out cold.
Soon, he is ushered out and he waits for the surgery to get over. He prays nothing goes wrong and hopes the surgery becomes successful.
After 4 anxious hours, the doctor comes out and reveals the surgery was indeed successful.
"However," The doctor purses his lips, "the necrosis isn't entirely gone. As you know it was increasing rapidly but somehow it slowed down... this doesn't mean they had not already spread inside his body. I will prescribe some medications for him in order to keep them under control but it's safe to say he is out of the danger zone."
Jiyong sighed in relief. There was still a small part of him that didn't relax entirely but this was better than nothing.
Seungri had to stay for a while at the hospital to make sure he was in a stable condition and Jiyong would come visit him regularly.
"Can you do something for me, Jiyong?" He asks one day.
The said person nods.
"I need you to go to this location and eat their food. Tell me how it tasted. Ok?" Seungri says as he hands the other a paper with an address written on it with directions, along with the restaurant name, "Ramyum".
"That's easy. I will go but what is it for?"
"I will tell you when you get back."
Jiyong leaves the hospital and follows the direction of the said place, stopping his wheelchair once in a while to check if he is going the right way.
He finally reaches the said restaurant and realizes it's new. He enters it and finds out it was small but had a beautiful interior and a very calming ambience. He felt comfortable despite being alone - completely alone in the restaurant except for the workers.
"Are you alone?" A soft and quiet voice asks him. Jiyong looks to his side to find a waiter bending down to face him. He has small smile smile on his face and looks like he is in his 20s.
"Yes."
"Alright, would you mind if I led you to the table?"
"Not at all."
Jiyongs' wheelchair is pushed by the waiter to his designated table. The waiter helps him sit on the chair and gives him a menu, leaves and returns to pour water in his glass.
No restaurant ever treated him, a handicap, like this.
