A Look Into Her Past
I Woke Up With No Memories And Wake Up With A Beautiful Girl As My FiancéChaeyeon’s expression dims, just slightly.
It’s been five days Hyewon was gone without saying anything. Eunbi has been her company for the past three days, with the reason of “Hyewon is busy with handling paper.”
But in the end, Chaeyeon never really trusted that reason. Even though they weren’t close in the first place, the past month was enough for her to observe what type of Hyewon is. Though she shouldn’t be trusting her self, as they never talked like friends in the first place.
“Don’t make me feel guilty not talking about Hyewon,” Eunbi says, sighing with her expression.
“Not until she opens up to you.”
Chaeyeon could only nod with the latter. The best way as of now is Hyewon telling her. Though she has her doubts. Frequently Chaeyeon sees Eunbi texting Hyewon and suspiciously Eunbi would hide away her phone too quickly. Luckily yesterday she saw the recipient number, Kang Hyewon and it only confirmed her suspicions.
“Are you sure you're not telling me something about Hyewon?” Chaeyeon says as if minding Eunbi. “I don’t know, she only told me to accompany you until she comes back. You really can’t blame Hyewon, she’s still cautious as of now.”
“I don’t. It’s just… you think I’m going overboard aren’t I?”
Eunbi gave Chaeyeon a look, chuckling a little bit. “I find it cute in actuality. You’ve only asked and talked about Hyewon these past few days unlike yourself from the previous month. Hyewon would be happy to hear this.”
In spite of herself feeling embarrassed being called out just like that, Chaeyeon laughs. “I guess that seems the case.”
For momentarily Eunbi stared at the ceiling, looking like she’s in deep thought. After a good minute of silence, she spoke up.
“Right now I can’t tell regarding Hyewon as of now. Though she won't get angry if I talked about her past... Would you like to hear about her in the past?”
Chaeyeon’s face lit up with the mention of Hyewon’s past. Knowing the girl would be a great start. She could already imagine Hyewon when she was in high school and for some reason, just with the thought, her heart seizes – in a good way.
“Yes,” Chaeyeon says, Eunbi smiles at her reaction.
“You know that me and Hyewon became friends around the time when we’re in the first year in high school, right?” Chaeyeon nods her head too enthusiastically.
“She was quite odd. The type of person you’ll never figure out nor even imagine in the first place being friends with. People would usually see her around internet café, gaming until her allowance was gone.”
Chaeyeon’s face crumples at this. Was Hyewon like that? That was unexpected of hers – the gaming part. She always had an image of Hyewon the quiet type in a group of friends while studying. True that Hyewon was odd, but from their past interaction she seemed intelligent and the diligent type of person. She knew she shouldn’t judge the latter in the first place with her outer appearance, though it just seems the case for her imaginations to run wild.
“Ya, I’m not done yet. Don’t think of her that badly. Anyways its no secret that she loves gaming, she was weird to wear neon socks every day to school and had a stoic face, you know her usual expression. No expression,” Eunbi side-eyed Chaeyeon, if she did understand everything she had said so far. Chaeyeon understood everything completely, especially the no expression part. That was the ordeal with Hyewon, one may say it is rare for her facial expression
