red as blood

back from the dead

a/n: This is still part of the flashback.

"This is a BOYS Scouts Club, not an all genders." Yoongi growled. "Besides this is OUR house!" He added and the other boys just sighed. It had been hours since they found the girl sleeping in their beds. She had told them she as been in the house for almost a month because she thought no one lives there. Now they were all reunited trying to figure out what to do with her. She clearly was a runaway.

"She needs help and we don't even are here everyday." Taehyung said with sad eyes, snuffling nonstop. "But we're gonna start to be here every weekend as soon as summer starts." Namjoon reminded them. He was to pondering about what to do. If the girl was a runaway it was because she was having problems at home. Maybe the best would be call the police and let them handle things. If her parents did an missing person report and the police eventually finds out she was in the cabin and that they knew, they would be in really big trouble.

"We should talk to her first. Try to figure out why she ran away." Seokjin sugested and they all looked behind, seing the girl at the porch, hugging herself. They were a few yards away to discuss the matter. "She looks scared." Jimin states. "What if she suffers some sort of abuse at home? Send her way could be dangerous." Jungkook pondered and the youngers eyes widen. "We should protect her!" Jimin sayd but Namjoonshakes his head disagreeing. "We should let the police handle this."

The shock took aback most of the boys, even Yoongi, who didn't thought about that. He just wanted her gone. They all stayed silent for a while, trying to decide what to do. "Do any of you remember seeing her in town?" Seokjin asked the one thing that was bothering him. "I would remember if I ever saw her." Hoseok said with a grin. They all looked at her again. She was a real beauty, even dressed as a rag doll and with hair all messed up. Her skin was fair white, her hair was dark as night and her lips where tainted red from all the biting.

"Maybe she's new. Maybe our police isn't looking for her. That way she could stay and we wouldn't be in trouble." Taehyung said hopeful. "We could check about that. And then decide what to do. Meanwhile she could stay with us." Jimin suggested and the other two youngers agreed. "Whe don't even have a bed for her to sleep! And it would be really weird to share a room with her." Yoongi protested. "We don't need to share a room or give our beds. We have an extra room. It just needs some fixing." Jungkook reminded and the older sighed heavly.

"How about we all take a vote? If you don't mind her staying, raise your thumbs up if you don't want her here, put your thumbs down!" Namjoon proposed and the three youngster boys put them up, while Hoseok, Seokjin and Yoongi puted their thumbs down. It was up to Namjoon to decide. He looked at the puppy eyes the younger boys where giving him and then he looked at the girl. She was looking at them with pouty lips and sad eyes.

He knew it was the wrong choice. He knew that this might get them all in trouble but at the moment he just wanted to give her a chance. So he raised his thumbs up, making the three younger boys jump in happiness while the other looked at him with worry. Seokjin wanted to help her but it could be dangerous leting her stay. While Hoseok was just scared of the police. Yoongi was pissed. Why had she came to that cabin and ruin all of their fun?

Time passed. Nobody was looking for her. Nor the police, nor her family, nobody. The girl never told from where and why she ran away, she just begged them to not send her away. Even if some of them where reluctant about her staying at the cabin, soon, as they got to know her better, they rapidly changed their minds. She was funny, sweet and caring. Soon they found out she was only 15 years old, older than the younger boys, but younger than the olders.

The seven boys got to work that weekend, fixing the roof, closing the holes in the ceiling of the tiny room and making a improvised bed with blankets and leafs. The girl didn't mind sleeping on the floor but they promised to bring another matress and bed next time they came.

Every weekend for the next three months the boys came as she waited for them anxiously. They always brought things for her to pass time during week while they where at their homes. But when they were at the cabin, they always played games with her and included her in their strolls to the woods while they explored.

Everything was perfect despite the new addition to the group. It was as if she always made part of their circle. Everybody loved her, even Yoongi eventually did. It took him a long time. It was after that one night that she had a nightmare, one of the many she had. She woke up screaming but, for her luck, she didn't woke them up that time.

She decided then to take a walk outside but unfortunately, and because it was a really dark night, she ended up falling in a ditch that she couldn't get out by herself. For a long time she tought the she would die in the woods after screaming her lungs out for help, without any response. The next morning when they realized she was missing, they spent all day at the woods looking for her, screaming her name, scared to death that something might've happened to her. Finally Yoongi was the first to find her. Without hesitation he jumped inside the ditch as soon he saw her.

"You idiot! Who told you you could go around the woods by yourself? You could've get seriously injured!" He shouted at her, looking carefully through every inch of her body looking for a injures, only finding some scratches and a swollen knee. "Oh my, you do care. That's a new one for me." She joked snuffling her tears away, really glad to see her grumpy friend. Min glared furious at her and asked, ignoring her teasing. "Can you get up?" She tried to get up but fell as soon as she felt a profound pain in her knee.

Before she could even say anything, Yoongi kneeled with is back turned to her, grabed her arms and puted them around his shoulders and yanked her legs around his waist. He hoisted themselves up the ditch with some climbing material he had brought and carried her home after warning the boys through a walkie talkie that he had her.

As soon they arrived he tended to her injuries with a serious and pissed off look. "I'm sorry to scare you. I just needed to walk" she apolizaged biting her bottom lip. "Why? Why at night, when is really dark and you couldn't see anything? Why not wait until morning? What if an animal attacked you? What if that ditch was deeper? What if it had lots of rocks instead of..." Yoongi stoped his lecture when he heard her sobbing. He looked startled, not knowing how to react and what to do.

"It was instinct. I had a nightmare... and my first instinct was to run away. I wasn't thinking, I was... just scared he would get me." That was her first time talking about her nightmares. The first time too addressing her runaway motives. She didn't said much but he understood. "Who hurted you?" he asked but she fled the question as the other boys finally arrived. They all runed to her and hugged her out telling how scared they were that she got hurt but Yoongi got worried.

The summer went by faster than they wanted too and as soon as it ended the seven all had to say goodbye to Seokjin, who was going to college, since he was the older of them all. Next year Yoongi would be next, but he said he didn't wanted to go to college and wanted only to graduate.

The first plan of the boys was to go to the cabin just one weekend a month when they got back to school, but they couldn't left her alone for so long so they figured out a plan. They divided themselves in three groups and designated one weekend for each group and in the last weekend of the month they all would went there together.

It was working well for the first months but things started to change when she said that someone was prowling the cabin when they weren't there. She said that she never saw anybody but she heard footsteps around the cabin and sometimes shadows on the windows.

"Are you sure is a person? It could be an animal." Namjoon asked, as they were comforting her as she cried scared as soon he and Yoongi arrived. "It was a person's shadow..." She told biting her lips. Yoongi sensed she was hiding something, so as soon Namjoon retreated himself to the kitchen, to grab a glass of water, Yoongi asked. "It was the man of your nightmares?" Her eyes widened immediatly as she was caught off guard but soon answered him with a short nod. "Who is he?"

"My stepfather" he frowned his brows. "I thought you were orphan." murmured as he remembered she implying that in one of their first conversations, after they asked her why nobody was looking for her. "I am. My mother died two years ago and left me with him" she explained, contorting her face in disgust. "What... what did he...do to you? H-how did he... hurt you?" It was a tough question as he was scared of the answer. Thinking of anybody hurting her, was boiling his blood and shrinking his heart.

Once again she avoided the question and even if he wanted so bad an answer, he gave her time. If only he had insisted... That night he promised he would protect her no matter what. The next day he failed on that promise and she was dead.

a/n: This was a big chapter compared to the previous ones but I really wanted to show bits of their past with her.

Towards the end I showed more of her interaction with Yoongi but it was because it took time for him to open his heart to accept her, while the other boys had already let her in.

They all loved her alot and promised protect her and take care of her, as Yoongi did. He just was the last one to say so and that's why I wrote more about him.

Hope you're liking this so far, 'cause I'm loving it.
