Jungkook wants to take Chaeyoung out once again, but she refuses. He almost argues with her, almost wants to remind her of what they’d agreed on, but then stops himself when she tells him to come over to her house. It’s one of those days when she likes to stay indoors and eat homecooked meals and Jungkook can’t stop smiling from when he’s still at home until he’s standing outside of her house, ringing her doorbell.

When the door opens, Jungkook briefly halts any movement upon seeing her in an apron, her hair tied in a slightly messy bun with some strands falling.

“I like where this is going,” he says with a smirk as he enters the house.

“What do you mean?”

“We’re going domestic.”

Chaeyoung rolls her eyes, but anyone can see how flustered she is at that statement. “No, we’re not,” she says.

“Sure,” he chuckles, and she doesn’t say anything, but he catches her smiling. “Do you need help?”

“Can you help with the drinks? I’m left with the salad anyway.”

“See? What I said about ‘going domestic’?” he smirks at her and she once again rolls her eyes dramatically at him. “Is anyone else coming over?”

“Nope.”

Jungkook glances at all the food she’s prepared. “This looks like a feast for at least 15 people, sweetie.”

Chaeyoung is chopping off the vegetable when he said that and she stopped chopping right away, head whipping to look at him. She clears . “Well, I love eating and I thought you love to eat too. But that’s fine, because I can practically finish everything on my own.”

Jungkook stares at her in the eyes with a grin. “I like big eaters. They’re adorable.”

Chaeyoung looks down almost immediately and continues chopping, almost looking as if she’s on the television competing on a cooking competition. ing adorable.

“Okay,” Jungkook begins as soon as he takes the lead to make drinks. “So what’s the story if people ask us how we actually met?”

Chaeyoung puckers her lips and looks at him with uncertainties for a brief moment before she looks into the cabinet, trying to search for the mustard.

“I don’t think people are going to ask that,” she says over her shoulder.

She groans when she can’t see the mustard anywhere. It’s either Jimin or Taehyung who messed up with her stuff in the kitchen.

“Oh, they sure will,” Jungkook says. “At least those who know you and Mr. Charcoal.”

She hums. “Okay, what do you have?” Her sigh of relief escapes through when she finally found the mustard on top of the refrigerator.

“How about a blind date?”

She abruptly turns towards Jungkook and scrunches her face at him. “You’re an old soul! Do people still go to blind dates in this day and age?” she laughs. “We’re pen pals, but that’s only because I sent my letters to the wrong address.”

Jungkook makes a face at her as he stirs the drink. “And you said I’m an old soul for proposing blind dates?” he playfully scoffs. “It’s ki

Chapter 20: Dear author, I am obsessed with you now. I read this whole 20 chapters in one sitting. To be honest, even as a Rosekook shipper, I'm always more in love with Chae Young than I am with Jung Kook. This used to be difficult for me while writing my own fics. Because I need to be in love with Jung Kook too if I want Chae Young to be in love with him. This story did help me fall in love with him a bit and I hope will be the start of me falling even deeper in love with him.

Chapter 20: Oh god, gorl my cheeks hurt so bad with how much I was smiling! From start to finish I couldn’t stop smiling like an idiot and hehehe’d at so many parts. I love the way you write and how loveable everyone of the characters are (except Charcoal) and the dialogue is so quirky I just I think I lost a few braincells but they’re so funny and insightful. You might not believe me but this story lifted up my spirits a lot. I haven’t really been having a great life lately and your story made it such a beautiful escape. Thank you so much for making something like this. You are very talented
