Fake It Till You Make Itthis is part two of a three chapter update jsyk heh
“Auntie, I think this would look good on you!”
Jeonghan held up a floral top as he smiled, enjoying further when Jisoo’s mother had actually agreed and taken the blouse herself. Along with Jisoo, the three of them had hit up the nearest mall for lunch and some shopping. It had been a casual affair, mainly some bonding time for the mother and son, along with Evelyn calling it time for her to get to know her son’s boyfriend. As if she hasn’t known him for years.
“It’s different,” she chided when Jisoo had pointed that fact out, eyeing the linked hands between the two. “I knew him as your friend back, but now, I get to grill him as your boyfriend.”
In response, Jeonghan gripped the brunette’s hand and pulled him close, “I hope you find my answers worthy of your son.”
At first, Jisoo had wanted to let go the moment his mom looked away from them, but the blonde whispered that they had to make sure they looked the part with a cheeky little grin, pointedly holding on tighter. Jeonghan firmly refused and in the end, the other man had no choice but to follow. It was his fault they were doing all that to begin with, the blonde also reminded gleefully, enjoying the pretty pink flush on the other’s cheeks.
They’d let go whenever Jeonghan wanted to do something that involved helping Evelyn shop or maybe just to fool around, but their hands would always end up linking back together in the end. Even Jeonghan was beginning to enjoy himself, especially when Jisoo had stopped being so tense about everything. He knew his best friend was on edge mainly because they had to keep the act up all day, but hopefully he could help ease Jisoo’s worries.
“Shua, I’m hungry,” Jeonghan whined halfway through the day.
“Buy food then.”
“Is that how you treat your sweet and loving boyfriend?” The blonde said with a dramatic gasp, emphasizing the last word when he noticed how they had caught the attention of Jisoo’s mother. She tried not to make it too obvious, but Evelyn wasn’t that subtle when it came to observing how the two worked. He grinned brightly, “how about you buy me and Auntie something to eat? I’ll keep her company! You can trust me!”
Jisoo glanced between his best friend and his mother with a sigh, “do I have a choice?”
“You’re the best,” Jeonghan said, meaning every word since he did know that even without the act they had, Jisoo would have agreed.
“I’ll get your usual from the food court,” the brunette said, rolling his eyes, but there was a smile on his lips. “Mom, do you want anything specific?”
“You decide, Jisoo,” Evelyn said simply, waving him away.
Once the other was gone, Jeonghan continued shopping around. Every now and then, Evelyn would ask a simple question, mainly about how Jisoo was as a boyfriend. It was no trouble at all for the blonde to come up with answers for those, easily describing life living with Jisoo. It was as easy as breathing, he liked to say sometimes. They fit together better than anybody else he knew, hardly ever fought, and knew exactly how to deal with the other person even if they did.
“You raised him well,” he said cheekily, feeling pleased when Jisoo’s mother had laughed at that.
“I have to thank you as well, Jeonghan,” she said, sincerity dripping off her words. Evelyn worried a lot for Jisoo, especially when her only son decided to move all the way to South Korea on his own. She was certain that if it wasn’t for Jeonghan and their other friends, she wouldn’t have seen Jisoo as happy as he was now. Instead of saying all this, she merely patted Jeonghan’s arm. Somehow, the blonde knew what she was trying to say.
Jeonghan chuckled, holding her hand in place, “it’s nothing, Auntie. Jisoo is really something else. We all thought he was a soft and shy boy who would never go out on a Friday night, but boy, we
